  9. Found out 2 things while listening to Gormley Live, first of all water rates are going up in Saskatchewan because get this … They’re not using enough water! And secondly, they use as much, if not more time advertising garbage as do the stations in the lower mainland. Advertising what, combines, harrows, binder twine and the likes? No, on line dating etc.. Couldn’t find, or didn’t have the patience to to wait for the story advertised here, or more likely, was technologically challenged in trying to do so.

    The University of Arizona’s Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research’s Gary Funkhouser, to Keith Briffa:
    “I really wish I could be more positive about the Kyrgyzstan material, but I swear I pulled every trick out of my sleeve trying to milk something out of that…”
    Michael Mann, the originator of the now thoroughly-discredited “hockey stick” graph Michael Mann, to Phil Jones:
    “Trust that I’m certainly on board w/ you that we’re all working towards a common goal. That is what is distressing about commentaries (sic) (yours from last year, and potentially, without us having had approprimate (sic) input, Keith and Tim’s now) that appear to ‘divide and conquer’. The skeptics happily took your commentary last year as reason to doubt our results! In fact, your piece was references in several commentaries (mostly on the WEB, not published) attacking our work. So THAT is what this is all about. It is in the NAME of the common effort we’re all engaged in…”
    Phil Jones to Gavin Smith:
    “Your final sentence…about improvements in reviewing and traceability is a bit of a hostage to fortune. The skeptics will try to hang on to something, but I don’t want to give them something clearly tangible. Keith/Tim still getting (Freedom Of Information) requests as well as MOHC and Reading. All our FOI officers have been in discussions and are now using the same exceptions not to respond —advice they got from the Information Commissioner….The FOI line we’re all using is this: IPCC is exempt from any countries (sic) FOI—the skeptics have been told this. Even though we (MOHC, CRU/UEA) possibly hold relevant info the IPCC is not part our remit (mission statement, aims etc) therefore we don’t have an obligation to pass it on.

    The CBC has not, as far as I know, had any item on the fraud that has been perpetrated by the Climate Research Unit of the University of East Anglia whose files have just been made public. Shame.

    Yes the National Post, link to Terry Corcoran on the front page. If you don’t subscribe to the NP, you should as they have had a continuous set of articles on AGW over some considerable time. If you subscribe to the G and M, cancel and tell them why.

  29. The first lawsuit . . . maybe the CBC can report this. They love it when the big bad government gets sued.
    ‘Chris Horner writing for The Americn Spectator reports that the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) has filed a lawsuit against NASA and Goddard Space Center demanding information they’ve withheld for three years:
    Today, on behalf of the Competitive Enterprise Institute, I filed three Notices of Intent to File Suit against NASA and its Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), for those bodies’ refusal – for nearly three years – to provide documents requested under the Freedom of Information Act.
    The information sought is directly relevant to the exploding “ClimateGate” scandal revealing document destruction, coordinated efforts in the U.S. and UK to avoid complying with both countries’ freedom of information laws, and apparent and widespread intent to defraud at the highest levels of international climate science bodies. Numerous informed commenters had alleged such behavior for years, all of which appears to be affirmed by leaked emails, computer codes and other data from the Climatic Research Unit of the UK’s East Anglia University.
    All of that material and that sought for years by CEI go to the heart of the scientific claims and campaign underpinning the Kyoto Protocol, its planned successor treaty, “cap-and-trade” legislation and the EPA’s threatened regulatory campaign to impose similar measures through the back door.”

  32. You have no idea the heat I’ve taken on this file and the personal price I’ve paid. That said before everyone gets too twisted you need to understand that this MO (pushing BS) is the STANDARD in most academic/bureaucratic disciplines.
    Modern medicine vs traditional wellness. Nuclear industry vs cold fusion. Austrian economists vs Keynsians. Fiat currency vs gold standard. Deficit financing vs belt tightening. The war on drugs vs free choice and sovereign property rights over your body. Wall St. vs Main St. and on and on….
    Bogus science is and has been used almost forever to provide advantage to insiders and to handicap outsiders. The AGW fraud is only a symptom of the widespread disease of scientific fraud.
    The net of all this is best summed up by Antoine Bechamp’s (contemporary of Pasteur, kind of a Tim Ball of medicine) famous line “The map is not the terrain”. Bottom feeders long ago discovered that most homo sapiens have yet to figure that out and the creation of maps, which are merely modern versions of the medievel “crystal shperes” of celestial mechanics, is just as profitable today for maintaining the status quo as it was in the 1400s

    Lift up a rock and another snake comes slithering out from the ongoing University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit (CRU) scandal, now riding as “Climategate”.
    Obama Science Czar John Holdren is directly involved in CRU’s unfolding Climategate scandal. In fact, according to files released by a CEU hacker or whistleblower, Holdren is involved in what Canada Free Press (CFP) columnist Canadian climatologist Dr. Tim Ball terms “a truculent and nasty manner that provides a brief demonstration of his lack of understanding, commitment on faith and willingness to ridicule and bully people”.
    “The files contain so much material that it is going to take some time t o put it all in context,” says Ball. “However, enough is already known to underscore their explosive nature. It is already clear the entire claims and positions of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) are based on falsified manipulated material and is therefore completely compromised.
    “The fallout will be extensive as material continues to emerge. Reputations of the scientists involved are already destroyed, however fringe players will continue to be identified and their reputations destroyed or sullied.”
    While the mainstream media is bending into pretzels to keep the scandal under the rug, Climategate is already the biggest scientific scandal in history because of the global policy implications.
    A throwback to the intro of the television series Dragnet, “Ladies and Gentlemen: “The story you are about to hear is true, only the names have been changed to protect the innocent”, the innocent in Climategate have already been thrown to the ravening wolves.

  38. A tip to your jar, young lady. I have used your links to prod the Wall Street Journal and Fox News to get serious about the climate change fiasco for over a year now. The information is also vital for jabbing the facts impaired left wing climate ideologues.
    While we all know the left in concert with the press will stage an all out onslaught on the truth for some time to come, you have nearly single-handedly saved western civilization and I, for one, am grateful.

    Greenpeace leader Gerd Leipold has been forced to admit that his organization issued misleading and exaggerated information when it claimed that Arctic ice would disappear completely by 2030, in a crushing blow for the man-made global warming movement.

    Ok, so I spent about 2 hours looking at The Harry_Read_Me.txt. Can’t really see how getting getting bigger shovels helps much … unless, of course, if Ghia has demanded this before she reads those peer-reviewed papers.

    Update: It has become fairly obvious this archive was not “hacked” or “stolen” but rather is a file assembled by CRU staff in preparation for complying with a freedom of information request. Whether it was carelessly left in a publicly accessible portion of the CRU computer system or was “leaked” by staff believing the FOIA request was improperly rejected may never be known but is not really that important. What is important is that:
    1.There was no “security breach” at CRU that “stole” these files
    2.The files appear genuine and to have been prepared by CRU staff, not edited by malicious hackers
    3.The information was accidentally or deliberately released by CRU staff
    4.Selection criteria appears to be compliance with an or several FOIA request(s)

  49. You can understand that many of the “believers” are going to have trouble accepting the the “deniers” were right and they were wrong and thus it will take a few days for them fess up.
    But, when they do get over their embarrassment of being fooled, shouldn’t they be elated with joy to find out the World isn’t ending? Isn’t this like finding out that the doctors deliberately lied and you don’t really have terminal cancer? Shouldn’t people be furious those who fooled them rather than at those who tried to tell them the truth?
    Lots of questions yet to be answered.
