  1. The link below is to a National Review editorial concerning Obama’s recent Nobel “Prize”. It pretty much summarizes what I think of Obama and the award. I would only add that if Obama had any concern at all for America, he would recognize that the award is being given to him in an effort to control him. The Norwegians practically said as much. That the Norwegians would think to influence him by appealing to his ego shows, I think, how little they actually admire him.

  2. Just read ex Senator Douglas Roche’s wikipedia bio which makes it apparant he was a Red Tory who spent most of his career doing the United Nations two step.

  3. Osumashi Kinyobe – I was actually re-reading the thing trying to find one perfect sentence to tempt you to have a go at the rest (don’t say I never did nothin’ for you); but there’s something sort of un-extactable about it. It’s a comic masterpiece, arnd the whole is greater than the parts. You owe it to yourself to read the rest; in no small way, you owe it to humanity!
Louise @3:55 – is it an academic publication? Ah so. I am sadly familiar with the Canadian Journal of Obsurum Tediatica phenomenon.
KevinB @10:19 – ahem! Not to pry, but how do you know about………. well, not to pry.

  4. Obama will be waving a piece of paper shortly…..peace in our time….and then he can go back to hanging his new curtains…

  5. Wanker!
    Headline:
After only nine months in office, Barack Obama has made diplomacy, rather than war, the principal tool to achieve peace
No he hasn’t. He just talks a lot. That isn’t diplomacy. Enemies scoff at him. “Yes, encourage him in his prattle, Abdul, while we lift this heavy nuclear bomb we took from the Paks into the truck”.
Diplomacy is having Ghadaffi come to terms with the West after he sees what happened to Saddam Hussein.

  6. Some of the humour here is just priceless. For example, KevinB @10:19 and Black Mamba @ 8:45.
Red Torys are almost worse than Liberals. At least you know where the Liberals are coming from.

  7. At least you know where the Liberals are coming from.

    Black mamba
thanks for asking Kevin, as I did not know how to in polite language:-))))
    and as to the article
welcome to the school of “chamberlain”

  8. Peace, peace, peace – a stinking word.
The worst crimes are the crimes of peace –
    Mao’s, Stalin’s, Pol Pot’s;
and indeed Hitler’s murders hindered rather than
helped his war effort. “War is evil, and it is
often the lesser evil” as George Orwell wrote.

  9. The second biggest evil in the world is war. The biggest is dictatorship.
Doug Roche is a terminal bonehead who wouldn’t recognize genuine peace if it punched him in the nose.
Kathryn: “It’s as vapid as a beauty pageant contestant’s ‘How I’d Bring World Peace’ response.”
That’s about the size of it!

  10. Doug Roche is a gas bag, completely devoid of grey matter. So Pres Obama won the Noble prize, and our Dougie is all warm and fuzzy. Yawn. Now, when the Obaminatior gets this years Heisman and Cy Young awards, now that will be impressive. He should be amply qualified for those as well.

  11. Agreed, this guy “jumped the shark”!
I believe the motivation for giving BO the award is:press coverage.
This seems to be the same ploy used time and time again by PETA; where PETA will make the most ridiculous statement they can think of knowing full well that it’s so obsurd it’s bound to soak-up the media coverage like a Sham-WoW.
Who would grab the most headlines?
Others that should be upset for not being recognized:
    Brett Favre, goes without saying
    Micheal Jackson, ended racism
MC Hammer, helped negotiate M.Crabtree’s new contract
BTW, I haven’t heard anyone say this yet, suprisingly, but I haven’t been keeping-up. Is it possible he got the award because he’s black?
Occam’s Razor seems to apply here.

  12. A great General, Scipio Africans, said “If you want peace, prepare for war”. The average man knows the truth of the Roman General’s statement. People who hate people want war and they want the people that they know, envy and hate to lose the war – those miserable souls do not care who they lose to – just as long as the successful man falls. People haters are fanatical, they feel ’empowered’ when someone that they envy goes down. They don’t have the gumption to compete with successful people so they take their self gratification by destroying those that they know are better than themselves.
Wise people do not ignore the basic nature of their fellow man. Wise people prepare for war and keep their walls strong. The President of the USA is a very shaky person – he acts like a weak teenager most of the time; no fire because he is pushing middle age; no wisdom because the fellow has never taken responsibility for anything or anyone. The 0we was the worse possible choice for the nation in that they elected a tweenager who is well past tweenhood but has the persona of a stupid but innocent kid.
Keeping ones own counsel requires maturity and confidence – the Owe lacks courage and conviction, he also lacks maturity. He reminds me of the Eaton kids who squandered the business their Dad had built in a few short years. Fools crowned the Owe, they are underachievers that Lenin called ‘useful idiots’, the Owe has handlers and they are smiling. Did I see Putin and Mao leering behind that prize?

  13. Please someone get me the same stuff this guy is smoking. Than I to can dissipate into fairyland.
