A few quick thoughts….
Two of these “good ol boy” wannabe’s are recent transplants from Toronto.

They should not be held responsible for their actions.
For all their lives the CBC, Toronto Star and urban politicians have painted for them a stereotype of Saskatchewan that told them that driving around and shooting things is our number one sport after bale stacking.
Moving to Saskatchewan was their best CBC Redneck Wet Dream – a fact underlined today in a quote captured by Rawlco Radio’s Tammy Roberts – “We didn’t know the laws in your country”.
We can’t blame them for that, just as we shouldn’t blame the CBC reporters roaming the prairie countryside today looking for a grain elevator – any grain elevator – to satisfy the producers demands for the duck murder news broadcast tonight…

So the judge levied $16,000 in fines to these 3 individuals. Gormley, in his comment this morning, compared these fines with one of $350.00 levied against a man convicted of assaulting his wife. It was not his first such offence.
Is there a disconnect here? Both are serious offences but the disparity of punishments is quite astounding. I’m not saying that the fine for the duck killers was too severe but the fine for the assault was rediculous.
BTW – same judge – same courtroom.
I agree, a different Bob, disproportionate response is expected if it involves firearm and is not done by a career gangster.
Bruce Montague received a sentence for paper crimes, disputed as unconstitutional, on par with a murderer. Is there justice in Canad?
Look at the facts, folks.
These 3 ill informed idiots were shooting high powered rifles at molting flightless birds on a body of water without the proper licensing, training or education AND THEY WERE REVELING IN THEIR ACTIONS! Then they advertised their stupidity by broadcasting their actions on the internet again showing the callous and dangerous nature of their thought patterns.
As a HUNTER, I am very offended by this. There are reasons why seasons are created for the harvest of game. There are reasons specific training and education are required. Those reasons are about the safety of those hunting and bystanders who are not. Those reasons are also about the conservation and management of the quarry. By committing these violations they endangered the public, themselves and showed absolute disregard for the regulations which protect the wildlife populations.
That these ducks lost their lives is incidental to the manner and intent that the deaths were delivered.
> Watching all the local and national news we get here in Edmonchuk on ghetto TV,only the CTV local reported that the a**holes were from Torawna.Bias? Nahhhhhhhh.
Most people wouldn’t have more than a passing interest in where these petty, useless criminals come from.
Apparently, “most people” don’t include insecure, paranoid, hypersensitive Westerners with an inferiority/little brother complex.
Another gunshot killing in Toronto last night. Might have been a drive-by.
Ho Hum.
Just don’t shoot ducks from your pick-up.
A duck has seemingly more value than a human.
Stupid, immature thing to do period.

Your absolutely right!
“Most people” live in tax sucking eastern liberal Canada. “little brother complex” Now that is the apex of being out of touch and not knowing who westerners are and how they feel about their little charity farm in the east.
Kind of like aid to Africa, it only flows one way, then disappears forever.
