Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

What if I start carrying a gun? Will that make me a safer doctor?
Dr. D., I was wondering the same thing!
Boggles the mind, doesn’t it?
Oh know…that’s ammo for the socialists in the States. I understand they want more control over the physicians as part of the Health Care for All.
Ah what the heck …they won’t need doctors or guns if the guvamint is taking care of them.
Patient: “Hi Doc! I’m having a heart attack right now, could you please coome over right away. And please bring your registration.” (Remember, in Broken Wheel, Sask., there is no 9-1-1.)
Doc: “Yeah, Ok. Opps, I just can’t seem to find my registration right now. I think I left it in Moose Jaw. Be back soon.”
Patient sees white light–Tommy Douglas waiting at wrought iron gate that has large letters CCF…..

I think I’ll ask Kate to boot you, just for my own personal safty you understand:-)))
A freakin’ brilliant juxtapose!
If you have a gun and a doctor, here are a few points to consider.
The gun will always be right by your side to possibly help prevent you or your family from needing a doctor.
Your doctor may be busy or on vacation when you need him or her.
You don’t have to pay your gun and neither do other tax payers. Not so with your doctor.
Your gun will never stick anything up your butt.
Your doctor just might.
:0)
now that i like.
Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.
Doctors don’t kill people…
paging Dr Kevorkian, … paging Dr Morgentaler, report to Jack’s Party.
… ahhhh, forget it.
We’ll have to use this information when “discussing” the topic of law-abiding gunowners with Leftists. Wonder how they’ll deal with that? Call us names, like the Democrats do to try to silence dissent against Obamacare?
That is a good one ‘Kate’. Hate say it but the stats is not looking good for the doctors.
What is overlooked here is that Doctors and Climate modelers, deal with complex systems on a daily basis….that nobody really fully understands…..with about the same results.
Gun owners have a simple situation…..better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6…..and criminals don’t often attend gun-fights…….
Hardly a fair comparison. Most of the people killed by bullets are young, while most killed by doctors are old. Everyone knows that old people’s lives are worth a lot less.
My life has depreciated at least 75% already, and in this economy, I’m probably worth a lot less than this time last year. Of course, I’m sort of an exception. I’m still at greater risk of being shot, than being misdiagnosed.
At least this is based on valid data….
Remember that often quoted “FBI statistic” that having a firearm in your house increased your chance of being murder 4X?????
This was researched and finally traced back to a letter to the editor in a Kansas City newspaper—-from a teenager——
Sorta like the epidemic of drowning Polar Bears…….
Polar bears aren’t really drowning. They’re being killed, by the hundreds, by tranquilizer darts. All those cute photos in those WWF ads would be downright dangerous without a double dose of PCP. Those bears are dying, so the species can be saved. It’s a sacrifice that has to be made.
Guns don’t kill people, bullets kill people.
Guns just make bullets go really really fast.
