I agree.Her captors will not be spending the money on buckets of KFCamel,but on IED’s to put NATO soldiers in boxes and shipped back home to their families. It is sad to see an obviously messed up person executed,but better her than a dozen or so of our best.

I have an idea. If Giesbrecht were to remind her captors that they belong to the “religion of peace”, they would probably decide to eschew the violence and set her free.

I am absolutely ashamed to think that as a so-called Westerner, I would be linked to a group of people like you. Have you bothered to watch the most recent video in which she is clearly pleading for help, for her life? To avoid being BEHEADED?!? How on this earth can ANY of you pretend to be better than the people you stand against when you so easily decide that this woman ‘deserves what she gets’…? That she deserves to be executed? So she converted to Islam, changed her name, and started a pro-Jihadi website…how many of you have run around posting about the injustice of having our rights and freedoms infringed on in the name of anti-terrorism? As far as I can tell, the woman has committed no crime. You don’t have to like her beliefs, but it’s her right to have them. And do tell me, if we’re now meant to condemn people to death who support the opposition, at what point do we become the very thing we’re fighting against?

Well, I care. Regardless of whether she is in this situation by virtue of bad judgment, moral ineptitude or whatever, I can’t help but wonder if those who sincerely laugh over her predicament are all that different from those who would cheer over there as her throat is cut. I am appalled at some of the comments here. Respectfully, I would be ashamed if I had set this up with the question “who cares?”
