If a 15 year-old American made his way to Canada and snuffed out the life of one of Rae’s family,I wonder if it would be alright with him to send the killer back to the States before he stood trial? Somehow,I don’t think so.
As for Khadr. He’s and his family are not loyal Canadians.
He killed one of our allies in cold blood. Canada does not want him “back.” How much time did he spend in Canada, anyway? He and his family simply want to live off the lib-left, moonbat, soon-to-be-bankrupted, gravy train they’ve thus far enjoyed.

No Liz J, you are wrong. The Cretin went to Pakistan and insisted that teh “Canadian” Khadrs be let out of jail, those poor, innocent Canadians.

This argument that “he should be tried in Canada” is bogus. He has committed no crimes in Canada. He’s barely lived here long enough to get a Social Insurance Number. He’d better not be eligable for OHIP.
Send him to Afghanistan for trial as a foreign fighter.
Here’s one way to rehabilitate and at the same time welcome back Khadr.
Send him back to Afghanistan … in a Canadian uniform.
He’d be surrounded by many fine military men who would help him become a real man, not the 40 groups of Muslims.
If he would like to be a true Canadian, put on the fatigues!

Hey, if Khadr likes fighting so much, bring him home and put a Canadian army uniform on him.

Bloggers are in a different world. We have all seen the ‘hands’ picture, but has it ever been printed or broadcast? How about we e-mail pictures of the ‘hands’ to the likes on Mandel, Selley, and others who are crying the blues for this creep.

I find it interesting that Khadr was brought to Gitmo in October 2002. For the next three years and three months the Liberal Chretian/Martin governments were in charge of the file and, could have demanded his return to Canada. But they didn’t!
The Liberals are now demanding the Conservative government (in office for less than 3 years and 3 months) do what the Liberals did not do re Khadr. One of the loudest Liberal voices is Hon.Irwin Cotler who was Justice Minister/AG in Martin’s government and, therefore, in charge of the file with which he did nothing. Smells not like justice and compassion but straight partisan politics in an attempt to embarrass the government.
There was an act I believe was called The Foreign Enlistment Act. It was passed in 1936 to prevent Canadians from joining the International Brigades during the Spanish Civil War. It was still in force during the Vietnam War era but no one was ever charged with enlisting in the US forces. I don’t know if it was ever repealed. If not, Khadr could be charged under the Foreign Enlistment Act.
I think that the Troika pals want the Khadr terrorist back here so they can establish his ties with Arar, the guy the Conservatives paid off with 10 million tax payers $$. I heard that the Khadr guy saw Arar in a terrorist training camp in Afganistan (Arar said he has never been to Afganistan), if this is so the Troika comrades will demand Arar give them the money because they are ‘entitled’ to it for uncovering the Arar cover-up.
That must be the agenda, IMO. Like Linda, I certainly cannot imagine why they would want him back in Canada to terrorize Canadians for any other reason. In assessing motivation, with regard to the Troika comrades; it is my perception that the rule of thumb is to follow the money.
