Something about a woman that hunts that turns my crank.
“Oh wow. Kate can shoot fish in a barrel. I’m soooo impressed.

If she was shooting fish in a barrel, manny, you bottom feeding socialist lieberals would be the first scum gone.
Great shooting,Kate. How many you allowed in Saskabush?
manny at 8:34 PM
manny’s here to give real a hand beating????
So Kate, when are you sending me those marinated deer steaks for my BBQ?
I have one strapping son, and two daughters to feed.
You will be shipping me those flash frozen yummies PDQ. God Love Ya, Lassie!

That’s decent Kate.
Way to go.
Just noticing how the ‘low boys’ always attack any smart woman’s talent using a “sexual inadequacy” poke when they can’t thing of something intelligent to say.
So this blog must be hell on ’em. heh.
🙂
Aw, I think it’s cute. Manny formed a sentence!
“Once you’ve got one with a flintlock, there’s nothing else……….
OTOH, you could starve to death trying to hit one with a flintlock and actually bring it down. Like the difference between a good kill and having to beat it to death with the buttstock… 🙂
No dice Skip; a .45 Kentucky hits just as hard as a 30-30. The 30-30 starts out at .30″ and mushrooms out to where the .45” starts. Velocity; about the same; bullet weight; the same.
Interesting. Manny hates farmers and now hunters. Just where does he get his food from? The tofu fairy?
Must just kill him to walk into a Safeway, where capitalism is practised while selling the products of those he hates.
Way to go Kate! You asked where the hunters are getting skunked…sounds like Northern Ontario for most. Our guys have not done so well…lots roaming around until 2 weeks ago.The gardeners are getting frustrated, and ask the hunters for help. I’m sure the deer have calenders.
So did “real.”
Wonders really never *do* cease. 😉
Garth
Bolt Action Babe.
ROFL, the Tofu Fairy.
And this too, is a keeper.
😀
Manny hates farmers and now hunters.
I don’t hate farmers or hunters, only phonies…such as freeloaders who fancy themselves capitalists, or shooters who pretend what they do is in any way sporting.
You murderer Kate — women and children too! Eh…
Canada’s own “Sara Palin”. Please take a run at politics, You could be running the country before long.
Since they curtailed the bear hunt and a couple of wolf bounty hunters died off in the Kawartha Highlands, the deer have been getting real thick, Can pretty much bump ’em off with the bush bars in the front of the truck. Haven’t set about to trying it yet, but almost did by accident on a couple of occasions.
The 308 is getting rusty.
Good for you Kate.
What’s next, Kate?
Going to go hunting houseflies with a sledgehammer, or moths with a bow and arrow?
Keep us posted, will ya? 😉
When i grow up – this is what I need: http://www.christensenarms.com/rifles.html
Click Hunter.
I think my 5 year old (who by the way is named Hunter – no hugging trees in our household) needs one of these and he can just grow into it ….
I get the impression that when Kate is in the mood for smashing insects she prefers leftard political strategists.
They’re not nearly as hairy as moths and half as smart as houseflies.
Syncro
Manny, may the next venison you eat be served over your steering wheel.
Brava, Kate!
At the recent conservative convention I stole a line from Ted Nugent (heard on dennis Miller Radio) and wished the hunters in the delegation a “Happy Rut”.
Looks like Kate is certainly having one…
(ps- Vitor sends his regards, kate)
Ed Teach has a good point.
My .44 Marlin, short barrel lever action will be with me until pried from my cold, dead hands.
Manny, maybe that doe was on her way to the Post Office to pick up her farm support cheque.
Interesting; the latte lapers always assume they have the moral high ground. Those of us who grew up where, if mom wanted chicken for Sunday dinner you just went out and chopped the head off one, are always villainised or worse. The up country people are always the ones who provide the food and earn the real wealth of the country, but are the but of the jokes. Take Sarah Palin for instance; and Kate.
Can I come and hunt within a mile of your house Kate? When you and your pals have filled all your tags. I got skunked down in Z24 last season and this season I’ve spent several days in Montrose PFRA seeing nothing until I missed my doe this morning.
Gave up and went to the range to figure whether I just screwed up that shot or screwed up my rifle. Trying again tomorrow.
Yeah, there are always people who think they’re “moral” because they get their meat shrink-wrapped at Safeway. Doncha know it’s more moral to make someone else do the killin’ so’s you can do your eatin’ without rememberin’ those soulful eyes of that poor little meat animal?
Meat is Murder. (Tasty, tasty murder…)
Garth
So what is it to these loons when animals eat other animals. Or cute squirrels raid a robins nest just to kill the chicks or bust the eggs up?
I’ve watched them do this, they just destroy the young not eating them, just kill and leave.
If your idea of fast food is running over a deer at 160KM … you might be a redneck 🙁
Congrats Kate.
I got my first white tail buck last night. 120 yards with a 30-06, just south of Rocky Mountain House. We had deer steaks tonight. Mmmmm, tasty.
Like Manny and Real I am a latte-sipping city vegetarian. OK I don’t want milk in my coffee and prefer Americanos. Unlike those morons I have no problem with people killing animals in order to eat them, even if I am too squeamish to do it myself. It’s the most honest way to eat meat, so enjoy those venison steaks! Don’t forget to spare a moment to honour the life that is sustaining yours.
Hey there
While you’re at it, why not shoot one of your dogs through the lung, dress it, and roast it up for din-din too?
Or does that offend your…logic…?
Good partridge hunting country south of there in the gov. pasture. Had a blast doing that a few years back.
Darwin award for deer here this last weekend.
My partner here was out Saturday and had an 8 point buck in the brush. Took the shot and the brush screwed up the shot. Deer runs off.
On way back to the truck at the end of the day, decided to check the area out again and there was the same buck sitting in the same area.
He did the deer population a genetic favour.
Well done Kate!
I got a 6-pointer last week, with a Remington 870 12-ga and slug, 20 yards away. It’s being cured now in the garage before heading in the freezer.
I for one won’t shoot at any big game farther than 100 yards with a rifle, and 30 with a shotgun. If you want good meat you must have a quick, clean kill. The closer, the better.
As Dick Cavett recently commented, “has anyone observed that hunting animals with high-powered guns could only be defined as sport if both sides were equally armed?”
So, when does Bambi get a chance to even the score?
Although I am an animal lover who has no interest in hunting whatsoever and doesn’t particularly have happy feelings about it, I will put about 3 planets distance between myself and the leftards here.
So long as you aren’t hunting endangered species (and deer are anything but,) and you aren’t wasting the meat, there shouldn’t be any question about it. To each their own. You want to go out and kill sh*t, go ahead.
Two, any time you have wild animals in areas where they are legally hunted, you may get lucky and have an easy kill but you sure as hell aren’t shooting “fish in a barrel.” Animals are not as stupid as liberals. They learn. When they know an area has hunters, they become wary of people and tend to make it much more difficult to hunt them. Animals in protected parks, etc, are not the same thing.
And shooting ones dog is not the same thing as shooting your next meal. Only a retard or other liberal would make such an idiotic statement.
As for the other side, I suspect that there is more BS than actual carcasses being passed around on this post… lol. “The fish was THIS big!!”
30-30 bolt rifle? Practical!
Guys always go for the howitzer, 8mm Schnauser, 30.06 or something as if we were hunting for T-Rex.
Truewest asks: “So, when does Bambi get a chance to even the score?”
When Bambi grows opposable thumbs. ~:D
I see manny and real are trolling again. Dear lower case trolls, the hallmark of tolerance is to let other people have their fun in peace.
Of course the hallmark of the lower case lefty troll is you lot wouldn’t know tolerance if it jumped up off the road and started chewing on your nose.
Note how the morels of the leftards are so big for the wild animal, a source of food for humans, yet they will encourage, for themselves or their suddenly pregnant girlfriends to ‘get rid of it, fast’. Can’t be bothered eh?
Warwick I suspect it’s the gloating over the kill that I think most people find unpleasant, more so than the kill itself.
TJ,
Most likely true. And the gloating is usually done by those who feel the need to compensate. lol.
Countdown to abuse: 3,2,1…
TJ said : “Warwick I suspect it’s the gloating over the kill that I think most people find unpleasant, more so than the kill itself.”
Its called a feat of arms, TJ.
I myself have never shot a deer. But when I used to shoot, before I came home to Trudeaupia and was forbidden, I used to hunt the elusive 100 yard bullseye. At one time I was in such good practice that I could hit a quarter at 100 yards pretty reliably with iron sights. This is an achievement of mine, a feat of arms I am justly proud of.
Finding and hitting a deer properly is harder than hitting a quarter five out of five at 100 yards. Deer can move, you see.
Feats of arms earn you bragging rights.
And the gloating is usually done by those who feel the need to compensate. lol. Warwick
As aptly demonstrated by the lefttards who swoon endlessly over 0’s media win on this site.
Like little ones left unsupervised – they’ll play in their own shit and love it. Excusable when a toddler does it, damn sickening and dangerous when an emotionally depraved adult does it.
And there legions of them, from top down in every institution that affects our lives.
Phantom,
I shot skeet once. Not easy. I did shoot 50% out of 50 rounds. I was told that was pretty good for a first time with a gun in my hand although I was frustrated at the time.
The only other time I’ve had a gun in my hand I was taken to a range by a soldier and put on a range with a C7 with a scope with a little red dot in it (not a projected dot from a laser, just a lit-up dot in the scope itself.) They had both stationary and moving targets. The one was cool. They had a city projected and you had to shoot the moving people.
I tied for first in a group which had a good number of hunters. The soldiers wanted to sign me up for sniper school (there were mostly kidding but were definitely impressed and were serious about trying to get me into the reserves – I declined.)
If I’m shooting at stuff, targets or terrorists are my preferred options.
…Kate’s running for Govenor?

Why do I need to explain?
I got your “lol”.

I’m not responsible for your feelings, you are.
Otherwise I do not ‘get’ what you’re now going on about.
This medium is not the best at communication and posters do need to consider that. All the regular non verbal cues are also not present, the subtle movements of expression on the face, the tone of the voice, and etc.
More should realize this instead of assuming a defensive position. Some of us communicate way better verbally and maybe some are also trying to learn to be concise with our written words, have patience please.
Be surprised how the rancor goes down with straight forward questions instead of smears, jabs, attacks and thus giving leftards and media alike the ammo to shoot us all down with. Again.
