  1. I am not sure why this would be news to anyone? With perhaps the exception of the Daily Kosiacs, HuffPo is just plain coookooo-bananas….

  2. Duh
It doesn’t matter. If you’re on the right (ie left) side of the equation, you can drink the blood of the unborn and it doesn’t matter
    Any more questions?????

  3. Domestic violence is significantly higher among GLBT couples than among married heterosexual couples. I can’t recall what the rate is as compared to “common-law” married ie living together heterosexual couples.
Not to say that this isn’t a heinous crime.

  4. The story isn’t coming up for me? But I’m honestly wondering. 200 times – all in the groin?

  5. This comment was somewhat twisted.

“We are all very lucky to have Carol Anne be part of the Off the Bus family,”

The lady savagely killed a woman. Is this not enough to express disgust over? Is murder not enough to make a liberal think “That person is evil”? The only good to come out of this is that Carol Anne saved the state the expense of a trial.
I’m sure that they knew a different Carol, but I have sympathy for ex (Jessica Kalish) and non for the murderer.

  7. Nah Ryan, the liberal just proved that when there’s a will there’s a weapon.
Just be glad it wasn’t a Robertson screw driver, they’d be after Canada for importing tools of violence.

  8. Ryan, I know you were being sarcastic, but that’s really not such a bad idea, and here’s why.
Is it really necessary for most people to have large and long screwdrivers? For the majority of people, small and short screwdrivers will suffice. If certification, registration, and licensing were required to be in possession of large, dangerous screwdrivers, tragedies like these might be avoided. I’m willing to give away a little freedom if it makes the world a safer place.

  9. Know what this reminds me of?
Anyone remember the Shotgun blog post and comments when the Mayerthorpe shooting happened?
It’s something I would have preferred to forget.

  10. Philips-head, eh? That’s interesting, as one would normally think of a slot-head for stabbing*. (But never a nice Canadian Robertson-head, am I right? As noted above, it would then be a “blame Canada”
    situation)
*And in Winnipeg for car-thieving and self-defence against trigger-happy cops.

  11. Its good to see that a Phillips screw driver is useful for something, because it sure isn’t any good for screws.

  12. “Then fatally shot herself”
And all along I thought these freaks were obsessed with gun control.

  13. I was confused by all the “hers” in this story. Then the penny dropped.
It’s true that the rate of violence and abuse among LGBT couples is greater than that of married, heterosexual couples–not that one’s supposed to mention such things.
Re heterosexual common law versus married couples: married women are four and a half times LESS likely to be abused than those living common law: Canadian Centre for Justice Statistics. (Not that one’s supposed to mention that either. Actually, this statistic was suppressed for close to a year.)
There are so many self-evidents truths–e.g., the institution of marriage PROTECTS women and children–we’re supposed to not notice and certainly not mention, no wonder our societies are in such trouble. Stupid us.

  14. What the world needs is a screwdriver registry… If it saves just one LBGT…
I’m a little ticked off that CMP already did a Robertson joke. I think I’ll Torx myself.

  15. I have often wondered what drives people to do this kind of crime. Talk about losing it, she went over the top. An uncontrolled temper rage is not what stable people do. Imagine working beside this person, it must have being driving her over the edge for some time, “scary” to say the least.

  16. Of course that kind of anger would not have had any effect on her reporting. She was probably quite unbiased.

  17. So where did the firearm come from? Did this person pass the federal background check and comply with all other federal and state requirements? Or did she buy it in the ‘hood from her homeboys?

  18. Blunt or Sharp weapon.
I think that we can all agree that a slot screwdriver would be classed as a sharp weapon and that a robertson would be classed as a blunt weapon BUT where does a philips fit in. Could it be a semi blunt or maybe a double sharp. I think we need some clarifacation. Maybe a juditial inquiry.

  19. Expect Obama to spend 2 billion dollars on a screw driver registry as one of his first pieces of legislation.

  20. Huffington post?
    Stabbed 220 times?
Was she the type of leftist who are trying desperately to “educate us” on the fact Bush and the right are all bloodthristy mentally unstable intolerant violent dangerous people?
    Ever heard of “Projection” ?
In psychology, psychological projection (or projection bias) is a defense mechanism in which one attributes one’s own unacceptable or unwanted thoughts or/and emotions to others.
    Yep.

  21. Can you imagine being a coroner, knowing the killer commited suicide, and then actually counting all of the screwdriver stab wounds?
Its amazing that they number of stabs is a nice round figure isn’t it?
Does anyone think that after each wound was counted that some sort of marker was put on the wound to prevent the coroner from counting the same wound twice?

  22. Was this the phenomenon Bush was referring to when he said “the angry left?”
One thing about the angry left, though. Their own misery is never their own fault. Always somebody else.
May have something to do with a loss of moral compass, which can surface in any human being who loses the ability to distinguish between right and wrong.
Anyway, Bush made her do it.

  23. How angry was she?
If a stab takes 1 second and there were 220 wounds then Carol Anne Berger stabbed Jessica Kalish continuously for nearly 4 minutes.

  24. and though the holes were very small , they had to count them all.
I think I could write a song about that.
what rhymes with All? Albert Hall?

  25. F of USA – Judicial recount done. A sampling of stab wounds was checked and it’s still 220 even though the recount area was empty of any wounds.
    Stupervisor, Elections Canada.

  26. As quoted above by Half Canadian: “We are all very lucky to have Carol Anne be part of the Off the Bus family,”
That statement caught my eye as being totally oblivious to the reality of the situation. I’m not surprised given the insulated fantasy worlds extreme leftards tend to inhabit.
It seems that more value is given to the loss of a “fallen” comrade in the great struggle than another individual’s life violently taken by that same leftist foot soldier. Another example of the morally bereft soulessness nature of the progressive left.

  27. Come on you people, the real cause is there if you would just look. She had recently quit drinking coffee!

  28. Man, generally, down heya in North Louisi-Yana when Lovers kill themselves somebody loses a Trailor.
    ,

  29. If a stab takes 1 second and there were 220 wounds then Carol Anne Berger stabbed Jessica Kalish continuously for nearly 4 minutes.
Yeah, I though about that. Sad story all around. My prayers and sympathies are with the Kalish, her family and friends, and for Berger and her family and friends.
    May they finally know peace.
