Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

“…but things may get worse if there is less money available for research and that would be serious.”
Money for research or data fudging? Snakoil alternative energy scams being dropped? Carbon credit assets liquidated for zilch?
Less money for Gorebels and Strongs defense funds?
Priceless
This whole global warming is a big fat lie its being used by the radicals to control our lives and ad tex taxes and many of these radical enviromentalists are watermellons GREEN ON THE OUTSIDE RED ON THE INSIDE
I’m waiting for someone to state that the financial “crisis” was caused by global warming/greenhouse gases/carbon emissions.
Anyone with totalitarian tendencies must be cheering this pre-emption – global warming having always been rather a long game. Financial meltdowns (real, created or imagined) offer much more scope for immediate action – and control.
Ironic, isn’t it, that Canada will emerge as the freest country on earth after this financial market meltdown is done.
Canada’s banking system is the most stable in the world … name one bank that has been ‘bailed out’ by the Canadian government or is even in need for a bailout.
Meanwhile, the US and European governments have effectively nationalized their banking systems.
For further review, google ‘Communist manifesto’ and look at article 5.
Canada’s stellar example does not sit well with this country’s marxists, who would like to see similar action.
So, they create panic the populace with false statements about the stability of Canada’s banking system and its strong economy
What set you free said
Bill:
I get the sense Layton et al are jealous that the rest of the world is nationalizing their banks and Canada is not.
That means Canada is not ‘progressing’ fast enough toward the socialist utopia.
Funny how those things work! Isn’t it?
6 million ways to die, choose 1.
PM Harper has to insert a very patriotic segment used many times before – by others. Only difference – this time it would be true.
My Canadaaaa. We are strong. Your gov’t is being responsible in these rocky times. To those who are fear mongering, we so NO ! Do not degrade our great country. You are insulting us and our economy. Why do they try and talk us into a recession ? It is just the same trick Trudeau used. He creates a problem and then says only he can save us. I say balderdash. This worldwide economic difficulty was not created here. It was created by the Fannie Maes of the world. And by those Politicians who benefit from political donations from Fanny Mae. We have no Fannie Mae in Canada. So to the naysayers on the left I say take a hike and let Canadians get on with their lives !!!
whew 🙂

One World Governance, OR
Kyoto, Or
Maurice Strong
Doesn’t matter which one, they all give the same results.
Kate, very clever post. It should get a prize.
It is more than just a clever post – it is the naked truth. Has been since Chretien’s David Anderson signed Kyoto.
[note: a few years ago, I just happened to be in the same elevator as David Anderson. I realized after wards – a liberal meeting was taking place at the Empress Hotel in Victoria. Taking him out back then, Chretien style – I could have saved Canadians about a $100 Billion dollars, ha !
So little time, so much to panic over.
Until the price of malt scotch doubles, I refuse to get excited over any of this.
malt scotch….. now that is pollution
duh. it will not end.
in the u.s. glen beck was talking about the bubba effect. check iy out.
From the second of Kate’s three links:
“Atmospheric scientist Paul J Crutzen, who has in the past floated the possibility of blitzing the stratosphere with sulfur particles to cool the earth, said clouds gathering over the world economy could ease the earth’s environmental burden.”
Here we go again; another eminent Swiftian doctor from The Whore Flying Island.
