Do you think the economy will be better in 2009 than it was in 2007? Me neither.
So, how could the Newspaper Association of America predict that total advertising sales for the industry will drop by “only” 5.5% next year when they fell by 7.9% in 2007?”

All I can say to that is that the MSM is too stupid to realize how fast their asses are swirling downwards towards the hole in the bottom of the porcelain commode.
Given the MSM’s performance in our present election, the downward spiral can’t happen fast enough for me.
With so much turmoil and uncertainty (economy, elections, etc) people will be grasping for answers. As the saying goes: “if it bleeds, it leads”. There’s a lot of bleeding going on right now, so perhaps NAA are banking on it (pardon the pun).
Indeed, their performance has been blatantly biased against the Conservatives and the Republican nominees. There’s no denying it, but they, of course, will, no matter how obvious it is.
Newspapers, broadcasters, what’s the difference most of them are on the left. This morning I almost drove off the road when I heard Goldhawk say:
On election day “We will have chosen a new government to take care of us.”
Sorry Dale, I don’t want the government to take care of me. I just want the government to get the hell out of my way.
I think that’s 5.5% ON TOP OF THE ANNUAL drop of 7.9%
How can they?
The can do this because they are as thick as the Ted Baxter character from the old Mary Tyler Moore Show.
I wonder if “Mr. Baxter” would catch on as code for any of our talking heads?
Mr. Dithers anyone? oh yeah, they’re incapable of seeing their self destruction.
never mind.
some new rules are being placed on the Calgary Herald unionized members, but not the management….
paper width and height are being reduced by + 1 centimetre on each edge at the Calgary Herald in the upcoming months, dunno if it’s equal for all the Canwest papers.
that’s 4 centimetres in total width reduction, 2 in height.
