2. I had lunch with a colleague recently. He’s a solid scientist and renaissance man – knowledgeable, urbane, charming, sympathetic, kind…with a cultural understanding of persecution, oppression and genocide.
   The standard pejoration ensued: “Gun toting, redneck…”
   Now, admittedly, the man’s a socialist, but if that causes such virulent personal denigration from an otherwise mild and inoffensive individual, it ought to be classed as pathological and treated as such.

   Glenn Beck pointed out this principle about Sarah Palin that the utopian marxist atheist left demographic will never understand.
   Her history shows that she took on the corrupt Republicans in Alaska and did an internal housecleaning of her own party.
   This was in the context of the investment banking sector meltdown where Beck states neither party in Washington did anything about.
   Palin is the only Washington outsider on either ticket and comes with a promise to clean out the corruption that has saddled the US taxpayer with trillions of dollars of corporate welfare.
   The US voter is fed up with both parties … witness the 9% approval rating of congress and the reformer that is Palin will become increasingly attractive when Joe Lunchbucket finally figures out he’s stuck with the tab.
   Look not for the speck of dust in your neighbour’s eye when you have a piece of wood in your own eye. Not an exact quotation, but underlining the fact that Palin will be tougher on the Republicans at first to assure a return to integrity.
   First party that can show the voter they’re willing to clean up their own party, as Palin did in Alaska, gets the key to the White House.
   That’s experience that can be counted on.

   I suppose that it is possible that she is hated for expectations of reform in the way things are done in Washington. However, I sense the real reason is the Christian social conservative world-view.

   I’m with you on the reasons the priviledged left hates her.
   Geez, even Dick Cheney didn’t feel the wrath until AFTER he got into office.
   Beck’s point is that she created ripples and enjoys a 79% approval rating in Alaska because she’s willing to take on the establishment of her own party … not merely be involved in partisan fights.
   Compared to the other three candidates, all members of the US Senate, she is definitely an outsider. I’m betting the US voter has enough savvy to figure that out.

   There’s something about Obama – can’t identify it, really – that I can’t recognize or feel comfortable with. And then there’s the bizarre fact, which I just made up, that *no one has ever seen his feet*. Yeah. It’s hard to disguise the cloven goat-hooves of Ba’al. Not saying, mind you, just saying.

10. It’s not a matter of hating “her/him”. Every thinking human should be disturbed at the shallowness of a process that would elevate this non-entity, this empty “skirt/shirt”, to within a hare’s breath of one of the most critically powerful political positions on the planet.
    Substitiute him for her and shirt for skirt and I believe Obama woul be the subject of discussion.

14. I find it interesting, in a sad way, that the vilest smears are from women and in fact most of the top 14 are from women.
    If I, a Canuck male of anglo-saxon heritage (well, partly) ever dared to say things like this about Liz May or any leftoid bra burner, I would be summarily drawn and quartered after the HRCs are finished ruining me financialy.

15. I don’t know if it’s always a good idea to delete a leftist troll’s comments well after the fact. It appears lots of people read this blog, left and right, and exposure to such an unintelligent, bigot, with little to spout but insults, may turn people off of being in the same political category.
    In other words, he’s a good recruitment tool.

16. So some go out of their way to raise awareness of deplorable comments made by a farmer hating individual and you (Lance) come along and arbitrarily delete all reference to said individual. Maybe you should start a thread on Agriculture so that those of us who are keen on calling BS by it’s name won’t stray off topic.
