I was living and working in Calgary during the period of NEP. Watched a thriving economy go into the dumpster. Watched media reports of 10-mile-long “wagon-trains” of drilling rig trucks lining up to leave Alberta, bound for the US. On my street, in an relatively affluent Calgary neighbourhood, with 11 houses on the street, experienced the pain of nine of the bread-winners in those 11 houses being thrown out of work. Opening the Calgary Herald on a daily basis and seeing 25-30 pages of judicial notices of sale of houses due to foreclosures.
All due to the Liberal party`s apparent desire to `shift`wealth from the west to the east.

First, identify a ‘problem’ nobody knew existed.
