While Woolas has raised the question of birth defects, the most serious concern is that cousin marriage blocks assimilation. (I show how in “Assimilation Studies” and “Assimilation Studies, Part II.”) That is why cousin marriage poses a genuine threat to Britain’s survival as a nation. The most spectacular example is today’s report that surveillance planes in Afghanistan have picked up the voices of Taliban fighters speaking in, for example, Bradford accents. Bradford is a virtual “reverse colony” within Britain, a city that has for all practical purposes transformed into a section of Pakistan. And as I explain in “Assimilation Studies,” this enclave was essentially built through cousin marriage. Now the Taliban draws recruits from the children of these unassimilated Pakistani immigrants.
For all the outrage stirred up by Woolas’s comments on “inbreeding,” it may actually be easier to talk about cousin marriage’s harm to young children than to directly acknowledge that cousin marriage is the mainspring of failed Muslim assimilation.
Takes a bite out of “hillbilly”, too.
That movie “Idiocracy” comes to mind on this topic.

From an electoral standpoint it might work out favourably, since inbreds overwhelmingly vote conservative and Conservative as compared to their “intelligent” counterparts.

Inbreeding is rampant throughout Muslim lands. Iraq has the same problem.
Obviously it is not an issue of race.
The wealthiest person in India creates yearly revenue greater than Pakistan’s entire GDP. Given that there is no genetic difference between Indian Hindus and Pakistani Muslims, the entire problem rests on the idiot Islamic ideology. An ideology that rejects learning outside of what allah has provided. It’s considered Haram.
This inbreeding has been going on for as long as the ‘religion’ has been around. Just another method in keeping the adherents in line, apart from death that is.
Islamic inspired paranoia of anything kaffir results in lack of education as well. More books were translated into Spanish last year than have been translated into Arabic in the past 1,000 years, for example.
None of this bodes well for the Islamic world ever coming to an agreement on reform.
Irwin makes a good point. Innovation marches on, but not in the Middle East. Except Dubai, maybe. Even there they -buy- innovation, they don’t grow their own.
They’re living on oil revenue, but they are so lame they get new oil recovery technology from CANADA. Guys are using tech developed in itty bitty Alberta to renew wells gone dry in Egypt and Saudi. Compare oil production in those two countries to Alberta, they spill more than we drill. We should be buying technology from them.
You know, if my private 747-400 was paid for by oil revenue, I’d make it my business that my country was right on the bleeding edge of petroleum research. My propeller heads would be inventing all the new kit, the Americans would be buying my tech right along with my oil.
But the Saudis don’t. They don’t have world famous research schools. Hell, they send their medical students to Hamilton On-friggin’-tario. If they have to send their guys to Mac, how much must their schools suck?
When some MIT/UofT/Oxford Poindexter types finally figure out nuclear fusion (only twenty years to go!) the ME is going to return to being a bunch of saggy assed Bedouins pretty much overnight. The rich will fly to Paris and the rest will be left to rot.
This is Islam’s moment of opportunity, and here they are using it to spread strife and discord. Would seem to indicate something lacking in their culture. Like logic.
