  1. These useful idiots have no clue as to how much alike, from the way they speak to the way they dress, they are to other fascist youth movements. All Pagan Earth worshipers!
Further proof of Gramsci’s “long march” through academia.
You want to be a real individual, rebel and free-thinker? become a CONSERVATIVE, morons!

  2. What these idealistic and profoundly ignorant young people don’t realize is that Kyotoism never had anything to do with the environment or climate.
It’s a UN stragegy to make the taxpayers of the West pay for the industrialization of China and India, and other ‘developing countries’. These new industrial countries are specifically exempt from any emissions and pollution standards. Global emissions and pollution will increase.
They will then use these West-funded factories to produce goods cheaply to undercut the far more costly goods and services of the West.
Young brainwashed and braindead idealists such as these operate within a mindset that has no capacity or ability for any but the most simple opinions and Cause-Conclusion Opinions. Therefore, the UN mantra of ‘Emissions=climate change” is readily accepted. Add to that, the emotionalism of apocalyptic terrors and the insertion of The Evil Satan (industrialism and the US) – and you have a perfect strategy for a popular appeal. Save the Planet. What could be more fun and enobling?
What will the UN do, as its Kyoto strategy of making the West pay for the industrialization of China and India becomes more obvious, and the reality becomes obvious that this will in fact, increase both global pollution and emissions.
Their agenda is not about the environment or climate. The UN agenda is simple: Make the taxpayers of the West pay to industrialize China and India.
I suspect the second strategy is emerging. The first was ‘pay for your sins of pollution’. The new one seems to be – Pay us to industrialize because you should be ashamed to have industrialized first’.
Admittedly, not as apocalyptic and emotion as the first UN strategy, but..whatever works.

  3. Today there was web comment in the G and M advising the necessity of becoming a vegetarian to help defeat global warming. Interestng, I thought they’d shut up after learning that the transportation industry was less responsible for gases than the bovine emissions. Not a chance.
It’s an entire package of lefty beliefs, and the AGW thing is the best chance they’ve ever had.

  4. You have to wonder if some of them are grinning because they just figured out what Fools they are.

  5. You have to remember that these youth are members of the Al Gore religion. They totally go on faith and reject the facts. Sad. These want to be leaders tomorrow? We should feel sorry for them when facts destroy their faith in Gore and his false prophets of doom. I bet you the people in “Winterpeg” want global warming to take place.
I suppose that they also want to cut down trees, plough the fields and worst of all, stop driving because of the “carbon” produced. I guarantee 80% of those students have transportation and seldom take the polluting bus. I wonder what they eat? After all the farmers use fuel to produce crops, fuel to get it processed, fuel to have it delivered to their stores, fuel to heat their houses in winter etc. What they need to do is live in a tent year-round to prove their point – perhaps in Winnipeg – they would change their minds.
I think that is an American flag in background. They do not know what cold is – unless they come from Alaska – there is very little snow on ground. Besides, they would have to stop the sun from its cycle – which is also heating up other planets – and according to their logic we are responsible for heating the galaxy with our pollution.
I am proud that the present government is fighting pollution, not only air but ground and water. It makes more sense than the LIEberals under DeYawn did in ten years. I have a difficult time on DeYawn saying that he is for fighting carbon emissions when there was very little proof. LIEberals are so blinded by their right to be in power that overlook the record of DeYawn while environmental minister – emissions went up 30%.

  6. Although snow in January says nothing about the issue, do these kids not realize the power of optics?
I hope they aren’t studying to be marketing execs…

  7. The same ironic shots also graced the newspapers and magazines during the Alien Crop Circle Hoax.
“Kids” standing in a crop circle — but the Journo’s text was still one of ‘be worried, they are here’. (More in tomorrow’s paper)
The Media’s Dumbing-Down the news has been going on for a long, long time. It appears more blatant now because we have the Internet Network for alternate sources and comparisons. However, it may be more blatant now as the Media orgs move into the Tabloid market — their only hope.
Ronald Reagan quiped; The doctor said my blood pressue is down — can start reading newspapers again.
Mark twain; Not reading the newspapers will mean you are uninformed. Read them and you will be misinformed.

  8. Based upon these peoples inabilities to adequatley dress themselves, they better pray for global warming.

Wonder if he feels a pang of silliness when he calls his dog named Kyoto?

I bet you the people in “Winterpeg” want global warming to take place.
Clown Party of Canada this one thinks 10 degrees warmer in the winter would be nice.

  13. The laughing stock “protest” took place in Annapolis, Maryland on January 17, 2008
    From the Baltimore Sun,
“It snowed, but they still came. A heavy snowfall blanketed a global warming protest outside the State House in Annapolis this morning, but it did not dampen the shouts of about 400 activists who urged lawmakers to pass the nation’s toughest greenhouse gas control law.”

  14. Personally I think the problem is that these young people are too separate from nature. The world they live in is one of man’s constructs. They buy their vegetables at the grocery store instead of growing them in the ground. They buy their meat at the same place instead of having to pursue an animal, kill it and dress it before they eat it. They have never been caught out in a storm or been chased by a hungry carnivor that imagines the human as its next meal. They have never suffered loss at the whims of nature and so they think that mankind is in ultimate control of the entire environment.
I think they should meet Mr. Hidebrand from Coleman who spent 96 hours pinned under his ATV. He survived by licking the frost off some tape he had and kept the coyotes and wolves away by blowing on a whistle. He survived by willpower spurred on by his Christian faith. Although severely hypothermic he was able to joke with his rescuers and even told them how to apply the splint to his broken leg.

  15. Small dead Brains posters:
