Lorne Calvert is promising this bright young chap a $1000 cut in tuition.
If elected, that is. h/t SDA Flashback.

This fellow is quite articulate, assuming he never made it out of High School.
University is where they teach people what to think, not how to think. Nothing could be more obvious after reading this dingbats attempt at logical thought.
this is just an example of the ignorant people that have a VERY limited vocabulary .CLEAN UP YOUR DISGUSTING FILTHY LANGUAGE and don’t bother coming back to this site……are you one of the Trailer Boys??? sounds like it you ingrate
Even the weight of 16 years of NDP manure wil not keep me from voting. Nov. 7 WE SHALL BE FREE!
Funny thing is that in the otherwise a not very intelligent article, the point brought up in the second paragraph, this guy is actually going against what would be normally considered a socialist ndp position.
In this entirely unlikely position on the part of SaskParty the guy is right in the sense that politicians are blowing all kinds of money to by votes.
While this is normal operating procedure in an election campaign, it seems the SaskParty went overboard.
On the other hand the plebeians will take any money that the politicians throw at them since, after all it is the money that these same politicians took from them in the first place.
So far as economic opportunity, how can it be considered an economic opportunity working for a government run, loosing enterprise? There is not much of that for the actual entrepreneurs.
So far as best place anywhere, of course, where you live is the best place in your opinion that is why you live there. For those who left for the big A towards the west, obviously it was not the best place.
Then he points out that the SaskParty failed to mention how many people have moved to Saskatchewan, seems that he failed to mention that too.
e-mail this prick and tell him what u think editor@thesheaf.com, and ok4ua, you can tell him to keep up the good fight
I think Chuck’s just pissed because his political career plans are about to be set back 4/8/12/16 years. Give him a break: he’s going to go have to find a real job now.

We don’t have the money Alberta had to work with.
When I was a kid I had an uncle that worked the “patch”. I didn’t meet him for many years because he worked in Saskatchwan. I finally met him when he was working in Central Alberta. He said the companies suddenly stopped drilling in SK after the SK people elected the NDP.
If AB oil has money while SK doesn’t look no further than the voting habits of the people of SK.
The Sask?Tory party are ahead by 50%. The NDP are ahead in urban centres by 49%. Where the hell were these polls done? And 40% are undecided. Something tells me this is a fixed Poll. In otherwords 40% wouldn’t answer one way or the other.
ok4ua,
You may as well go buy your 6/49 ticket for Wednesday’s draw. God knows, you have a better chance of winning the lottery than Lorne & Crew have of winning this election.
Na, na, na…hey -eh -eh, goodbye!
…and gooooooood riddance!
It’s far from over so don’t gloat. A lot of us working stiffs remember the last Tory gov’t. Not pretty.
ok4ua the NDP/CCF/bullshit party
Hey how about as a start to having lower tuition, I stop having my fees pay for this useless, not-fit-for-TP school paper.
Saskatchewan’s population has shown to be highly mobile between provinces. From July 1, 1996 to June 30, 2006, an estimated 98,820 adults moved into Saskatchewan while 143,499 adult residents moved from Saskatchewan (net decrease of 44,679). http://www.stats.gov.sk.ca/pop/POP%20AGE%20GENDER%202006.pdf

Get used to it my friend! The era of fear and bullying is over 4 days.
Irony: something about which this leftard may wish to educate himself…….
“The SP’s platform ….. is belligerent and offensive.”
“Any platform that is based on telling me how shitty it is can fuck off and die.”
I’ll echo the “what a bunch of garbage” comments and also point out that this is fairly strategic. The Sheaf is published every Thursday and this article is from the November 1 issue. So there will be no letter to the editor or editor apology (not that we will see one of those) until November 8th. And we all know what day that is.
Although I’m a very recent alumni (2006), and was considering making a small donation this year, they can forget about it.
“It’s far from over so don’t gloat. A lot of us working stiffs remember the last Tory gov’t. Not pretty.”
Gloat? We pee in your direction.
…the more things change, the more they stay the same.
Seems UofS still suffers from Lenin’s “useful idiots” mentality.
If you assholes get in the fear and bullying will just begin.
ok4ua – just read your last post. By the language you’re using it is beginning to look like fear is not what you are drinking in. Must be something else.
CCF,NDP…………Tory Party,Sask?Tory??? Do you see a difference? I don’t see a difference.
THe Leader Post has picked the winner already. You bloggers have nothing to do with it. When Father Devine was in 620 CKCK offered him free air time. We really don’t have a say. The Media pushed for Devine too but he and his party were so rotten that even the new media couldn’t make them look good.
Just thought I would point out that the editor in chief at the Sheaf and write of this article, Chuck Hamilton, is the brother of Will Hamilton, the person responsible for creation of the Facebook group Saskatchewan Sign Kicking Party. Do a search on Facebook for Chuck Hamilton, and if you view his friends you will see Will Hamilton listed as his brother.
Edit: Just checked out Facebook again and it looks like Will has dissapeared from the radar.
I am amazed at the amount of people offended by this article; and everyone of you seem to think that he doesn’t have a right to be offended by the SaskParty?
Another thing I’d like to point out is that so many of you are jumping to conclusions. Not once did the writer of the article say he was for NDP! He just said he is against the SaskParty.
Personally, I don’t want my province bashed either by the SaskParty, nor do I want it to turn into another Alberta. that doesn’t mean I’m going to vote NDP.
Frankly, I thought his article was great.. a bit blunt, but great.
No one seemed to notice the article I wrote, a little to the “left” of Charles’ article on the page, about strategic voting. Funny that the entire Sheaf staff is assumed to be Leftist and supportive of the NDP. I also don’t see where Charles says that he supports Lorne Calvert.
