  1. “The Passion Of The Goracle
    The Mammoth Carbon Assprint”
    ROTFLMAO!! :-@
I can always count on Kate for hilarious cynical one liners…and the targets are so deserving.
Gorebots…another one filed for future use.

  2. On QP just now..Taber,the ‘boss of everyone’ questions Baird on how ‘green’ he is in his personal life.
Baird has gov’t ethanol car,but owns 8 yr.old personal vehicle.
Taber:”You better do something about that!”
I also love, how the media is spinning this big ‘confrontation’between Baird and Suzuki..playing it up,like Suzuki really took it to Baird…NOT!

  3. A Gores carbon footprint as big as his ego his attatude and his ambition as well and all coming from a block of wood the one on top of his neck

  4. “he had sweat on his brow,” [ibid]
Gore is Elmer Gantry, sweating, sweating, with Gaia.
Elmer Gantry is a 1960 film based on the 1927 novel by Sinclair Lewis, which tells the story of a confidence man who teams with a woman evangelist …
    …-

  5. So Baird is being greensized by Taber….did she have to answer the same question or do the inquisitors get a free pass.

  6. “Taber:”You better do something about that!”
Heh…stones cast from the glass castle
What are you driving Jane? I’ll bet it isn’t a Schwinn bicycle with handlebar streamers made from shredded liberal red condoms.
Is it any wonder I can’t stomach a full session of CTV QP it just drips with media hubris…Taber would be better off behind the Goracle pulpit …give vent to her sanctimonious hypocrisy.

  7. Thanks for catching this Kate, knew you would.
Can’t wait for Big Al to land on his big ass, there’ll be more than a print, it’ll be a crater.
He kind of overdoes it with the greasy kid stuff, reminds of a hick on Saturday night. Maybe he’s down to using the snake oil he’s peddling.

  8. WHAT KIND OF MAN USES BRYLCREAM?
…they love to run their fingers through your hair…
    Just ask Al!

  9. mazz, Burt Lancaster won the Oscar for that portrayal, 1960, I believe. Damned good performance, and Burt looked a hell of a lot better than the porcine politician.
If Meg Worby is that easily swayed by an evangelical performance, don’t let her see John Hagee, she’ll become a Texas pentecostal in about fifteen seconds.

  10. In all of this Goreacle/Suzuki debacle, not one Lib/Green politician,or media spinster, has EVER defined, just one concrete step, the Libs./Dion took while in power toward reaching Kyoto. This is when I scream at radio,t.v..”tell me,what did you do?”I especially cannot stand one more second of May,McGuinty,or Dion. The absolute height of hypocrisy…and no one holding their feet to the fire like they do with Cons. And yet,the sheep, never say..show me the policies, the regulations etc.Thinking about having a plan, works HOW??????Why don’t the media show over and over, the negative comments Suzuki made re:Libs.failures?Just utter tripe, and cover-up by msm.Just now,on QP,Jennifer refers to Gore/zuki as “rockstar types”..barf.
Taber’annoyed’ by Peter Van Loan, and comments he made about detainees, and validity of claims.
One question about this..why have no Canadian Afghans never been asked about their take on this????
Galloway feels Cons.’destroying troop morale’All in all, todays QP was an utter failure..Gore,Suzuki,Trudeau.Oliver made comment that’this new gov’t will be old gov’t soon’

  11. BTW, when are the nationalists going to tell Gore to shut up becasue we dont want american’s commenting on Canadian politics…..oh yeah right it depends which American and which issue..

  12. There’s only one credible course of action for all the frustrated, outraged Kanadian Kyotoists–Force a non-confidence vote in the House over Baird’s plan. Hitman Gore is leading the way by roughing up Baird, making it that much easier for Dion to carry on with the mugging in the House of Commons. Dion now only has a few days to grab the Kyoto spotlight from Gore or else Layton will
    move to centre stage himself.

  13. Some Democratic Party organizers are quietly sounding out people who might be interested in backing an Al Gore presidential bid, and Gore hasn’t told them to stop. It’s not very serious talk and you can probably read it as an example of an lifelong presidential junky keeping his desperately limited options open just in case the entire current field of candidates implodes. But here’s the point: Gore’s supporters are apparently telling him he’d better slim down over the summer because big guts don’t make it on television, so you can probably infer his assessment of his presidential chances by the size of his belly this year. Or the size of his arse, if you want to that route.

  14. Al Gore calling the Canadian government environment plan “a fraud”. The irony drips, but Gore and the gorebots just can’t see it. If he weren’t so despicable, he would be a farce.

  15. Have some sympathy for Al. I must say that I lost it too, when the projectionist goofed up showing the slides of my visit to Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump.
(For those of you who don’t know, Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump is a site where herds of herbivores were led by their leaders to their deaths by panicking them over a cliff.)

  16. Al Gore calling the Canadian government environment plan “a fraud.”
Gore has to be the luckiest climate-doctoring flimflam artist currently on the world stage.
In Canada he has particularly fertile ground with repeating mouthpiece allys like Canada’s CTV, CBC, and CanWEst Global.
Sadly, so far as I can tell, only the conservative blogs are calling him on his wind bag message and carbon trading shell game .

  17. So sould Ms. May, nothing like a little fat girl snarking at your bad eco-habits, mustn’t be any mirrors in her house. Hasn’t she heard, fat is so retro and against the Nanny State Health Act. Tsk! Get with the program Fanny May!

  18. when asked what I drive I answer “about 1000 litres”
Doesn’t matter what you drive its how much gas you use up every year. Drive a Prius for 60k km is far worse than a Hummer for 10k km.
Its the gas Jane, the gas. Wanna bet she desn’t have a clue how much gas she uses in a year ??

  19. Al Gore is “the ugly American”. Ever since the defacto leadership of the lieberals passed to Iggy, (just watch QP for proof), the hidden agenda to make Canada the 51st state through a leaderless opposition party is becoming more and more apparent every day. Yankee wanna-be Iggy has made “I was one bullet away from being US Pres.” his party’s environment critic….

  20. The push-back from the MayDionMartin Liberals has started.
When she learned this morning from CBC/TV that Gore is an American, Carolyn Parrish, ex-Liberal MP, had this to say about Americans:
    “Damn Americans,I hate the bastards.”
    (cbc)

  21. Has Rick Mercer had Big Al Gore on yet ??
No? How cum ?? There is enough material for a full season series.
What’s that? The CBC is intentionaly giving THIS Fraudulent American a pass? That is liablous.

  22. Has anyone ever checked out the projects that Al Gores carbon credit company is using. Has anyone certified them, has anyone every tested to see if they really are the reductions that they satte. Has anyone ever checked if they have bee sold twice?
There is a story there for a reporter swith some time, resources and an inquiring mind…..

  23. No wonder the Gorical refuses questions. You could slay him with this bit of bio-fuel info.
The *experts* at Volvo have compared 18 auto fuels and allow you to choose the 7 you think are lowest in co2 emissions.
You select those 7 in the form of race cars and then watch the *contest*. Beer bets are only valid on the first run.
Hint* Results are surprising. One has to find a farmer with a certain specialty in order to fuel up with a winner.

There is no mention of any battery type. Volvo, like any big automaker would prefer not to consider the death of the Internal Combustion engine. A golden goose of profit.= TG

  24. Did/does Ted Turner also get worked into a lather ??
    Suzuki ?
    Jimmy Jones ??
    The Wako in Waco ??
It’s the only way they can keep the attention of the audience. Volumes of truth also works, BTW.

  25. Hey Fred, re “Its the gas Jane, the gas. Wanna bet she doesn’t have a clue how much gas she uses in a year ??” I’ll bet you’re right, one reason being that she probably doesn’t drive a lot because flies a lot.
The hypocrisy of this lot–Gaia God Gore and the hyena hordes of journalists–is breathtaking. They’re the ones spewing HOT AIR all the time and guzzling the resources of the planet on a scale unimagined to most of us.
Look in the mirror, folks. You are what you hate, far more than the rest of us. But, oh yeah, by pretending it just ain’t so, you’re making a lot of money off the rest of us suckers…
Sukers of the world unite and tell these guys where they can sho** it.

  26. This Goracle business is starting to remind me of the Tammy Fay Baker, Billy Graham Crusades and the battle of the evangelists who all made BIG BUCKS scaring people about the end of the world.
FEAR is the tool tyrants and opportunists and dictators and the unscrupulous have ALWAYS used to “fleece their ever believing and willing to be led and bled flocks”.
In fact, an interesting article in the Western Standard some years ago about Maurice Strong quoted him as saying exactly that. When asked HOW they planned to control the people to do the WILL OF THE UNITED NATIONS (the one world government loonies) Strong said – we (the United Nations) will use FEAR!
And VOILA – the United Nations is now presenting so called “scientific proof” that if we do not pay billions or trillions to third world countries (Kyoto) we will all DIE.
Connect the dots – Al Gore, David Sukuki and pretty well all of the fear mongering evangalists use FEAR and are connected to Maurice Strong, the United Nations and the Kyoto money transfer scam.
So far Gore has managed to “transfer” about $200 million of this “carbon scam” to HIMSELF!
What we need is honest media to honestly question this world wide scam but it would be like denying Allah, Islam, Christianity AND Billy Graham their power over the people.
We, the public, are so easily manipulated by either fear or greed. (just look at Enron) And because they are now indoctrinating our children in our schools with this give it about one more generation and the one world communist society may become a reality.

  27. Gore never worked up a sweat over the environment when he was Vice Pee with Hilary. In fact he was pretty low key. Now he’s glommed onto the “sky is falling” trendies enviro propaganda with a vengence and making money off them all to boot. Do not forget though, that in the silver spoon socialist world there is no room for the middle class.

  28. Are the Liberal Party required to claim today’s edition of Question Period as an election expense?
    One giant infomercial.

  29. Lorraine, Lorraine, Lorraine.
If you have a good argument, use it, but don’t get off track with rants. You sound foolish and your good points lose their punch.
“This Goracle business is starting to remind me of the Tammy Fay Baker, Billy Graham Crusades and the battle of the evangelists who all made BIG BUCKS scaring people about the end of the world.”
“What we need is honest media to honestly question this world wide scam but it would be like denying Allah, Islam, Christianity AND Billy Graham their power over the people.”
What weak, unintelligent, purely emotional, rants. Sounds just like the ignorant Rosie.

  30. “And because they are now indoctrinating our children in our schools with this give it about one more generation and the one world communist society may become a reality.”
    ‘Case in point, Lorraine:
In an Ontario classroom two weeks ago, I had the great pleasure (sarc/off) of accompanying a class to the school gym to hear a very badly executed presentation by CAW (the Canadian Auto Workers). The two presenters were badly prepared and the video they showed was unbelievably bad: No words, just a succession of lovely nature images (accompanied by lovely pastoral music) and smokestacks, smog, and polluted water–funny thing, though, no auto plants–accompanied by menacing, scary music).
After the video was shown to the assembly of a few hundred kids, the two CAW presenters proceeded to pile on every humans-bad, nature-good myth in the book. Kyoto was mentioned frequently as the plan that would save the planet. It took all of my self-control to not jump up and shout “You liars! Who’s paying you to say this?! Tell the truth, you schmuks!”
That’s why those of us who know what’s going on have to make regular nuisances of ourselves on the street, at the water cooler, at dinner parties, in the park, at the liquor store, at church, in the Loblaws/No Frills/Sobey’s lineups.
Because we don’t have an “honest media to honestly question this world wide scam” (Lorraine) those of us who know what’s going on need to speak out with whom and whenever we can–and obviously not just on blogs.
So, we stop being invited to our neighbour’s BBQs? So people begin to cross the street to avoid talking to us? Small price for getting the truth out there. Most Canadians don’t know about Mo Strong, about Power Corp, about Paul Desmarais and his son Andre (married to France Chretien, Jean’s daughter), about David Suzuki, and about all of the dots that connect them–not to mention Trudeau, Mulroney, the already mentioned Chretien, and Martin. Most people don’t know that Mo Strong sits on the Board of the David Suzuki Foundation and that he’s now in China exploiting the fact that China’s not bound by Kyoto-like standards–nowhere NEAR the standards Canada’s being asked to live up to–and is making a killing off the manufacturing of the Cheri, a car that will soon be flooding the North American market. (Chretien and Martin are in on this, too.)
Our “investigative” journalists, except for those at the Western Standard and some at the Sun, get a failing grade for not exposing these facts. Some of us will just have to stand in the gap.
Thanks, Kate, for giving us a forum to share what we know and to learn from others what we’re not hearing on CTV, CBC, or in most of our print media.

  31. From; Characteristics Associated with Cultic Groups
    Janja Lalich, Ph.D. & Michael D. Langone, Ph.D.
    //www.csj.org/infoserv_cult101/checklis.htm
    A few of the characteristics below;
O The group displays excessively zealous and unquestioning commitment to its leader and(whether he is alive or dead) regards his belief system, ideology, and practices as the
    Truth, as law.
[Even the oil-for-food scandal will not sway them. Or proof the hockey-stick graph is a fraud]
O Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished.
[Just ask Patrick Moore, Tim Ball and many, many others.]
O The group is elitist, claiming a special, exalted status for itself, its leader(s) and members (for example, the leader is considered the Messiah, a special being, an avatar—or the
group and/or the leader is on a special mission to save humanity).
[Sound like someone you know ?]
O The group has a polarized us-versus-them mentality, which may cause conflict with the wider society.
    [Kyoto Kultists VS so-called deniers]
O The leader is not accountable to any authorities (unlike, for example, teachers, military commanders or ministers, priests, monks, and rabbis of mainstream religious denominations).
[Gore is accountable to .. ?? Or Maurice Strong ??]
O The group teaches or implies that its supposedly exalted ends justify whatever means it deems necessary. This may result in members’ participating in behaviors or activities they
would have considered reprehensible or unethical before joining the group (for example, lying
to family or friends, or collecting money for bogus charities).
    [Collecting carbon-credits]
O The leadership induces feelings of shame and/or guilt in order to influence and/or control members. Often, this is done through peer pressure and subtle forms of persuasion.
    [United Nations IPCC. Suzuki Foundation.]
O The group is preoccupied with making money.
[Big Al’s road show is raking it in]
    Cultology 101

  32. Gore is a goof on the loose. Don’t tell him that though, he’s got delusions of grandeur, couldn’t handle the critique, he now fancies himself an environmental expert, delving in the realm of Earth Science.
This is the same guy who SAID HE INVENTED THE INTERNET! Well he didn’t but he thought he did, honest mistake for a Lefty.
Why he would come here and say he didn’t want to interfere in politics of this Country and go ahead and do just that? Sure tells us what an ass-head he is.
The man has nothing to contribute but platitudes and his ass is dragging from lugging them around.
He’s going to be the “Expert” the Lefties will all be quoting tomorrow in QP.

  33. Not sure if this has been posted here yet but it is quite funny.
    ——
DENVER – Hurricane forecaster William Gray said Friday that global ocean currents, not human-produced carbon dioxide, are responsible for global warming, and the Earth may begin to cool on its own in five to 10 years.
Gray, a Colorado State University researcher best known for his annual forecasts of hurricanes along the U.S. Atlantic coast, also said increasing levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere won’t produce more or stronger hurricanes.
He said that during the past 40 years the number of major hurricanes making landfall on the U.S. Atlantic coast has declined compared with the previous 40 years, even though carbon dioxide levels have risen.
Gray, speaking to a group of Republican state lawmakers, had harsh words for researchers and politicians who say man-made greenhouse gases are responsible for global warming.
“They’re blaming it all on humans, which is crazy,” he said. “We’re not the cause of it.”
Many researchers believe warming is causing hurricanes to get stronger, while others aren’t sure.
A study published last week suggested warming might make it more difficult for hurricanes to form because it produces more vertical wind shear, which can weaken hurricanes.
But the researchers, Gabriel A. Vecchi of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and Brian J. Soden of the University of Miami, said it was unclear whether the dampening effects of wind shear would cancel out the boost that warmer water gives hurricanes.
Gray complained that politics and research into global warming have created “almost an industry” that has unfairly frightened the public and overwhelmed dissenting voices.
He said research arguing that humans are causing global warming is “mush” based on unreliable computer models.
that cannot possibly take into account the hundreds of factors that influence the weather.
Gray said ocean circulation patterns are behind a decades-long warming cycle. He has argued previously that the strength of these patterns can affect how much cold water rises to the surface, which in turn affects how warm or cold the atmosphere is.
He also disputed assertions that greenhouse gases could raise global temperatures as much as some scientists predict.
“There’s no way that doubling CO2 is going to cause that amount of warming,” he said.
Gray said warming and cooling trends cannot go on indefinitely and that he believes temperatures are beginning to level out after a very warm year in 1998.
“We’re going to begin to see some cooling,” he said.

  34. the Gulfstream Ecologists are getting harder to take.
Cheryl Crowe now says her one square a visit was a joke.only after she was called the toilet paper nazi. No wonder Lance Armstrong said Im taking my ball and going home.

  35. “No wonder Lance Armstrong said Im taking my ball and going home.”
    Thanks for the laugh Cal2.

Posted by: Stephen at April 29, 2007 12:06 PM ”
It’s a global problem Stephen, that’s why they call it “Global Warming”.
What Canada says and does on the world stage means something and is respected by other nations (well it was before Harper and his band of clowns). If we abandon our Kyoto commitment and environmental responsibilities, others will follow. Gore knows this and has every right to state the errors of the Cons.

  37. Gore was not briefed on the contents of the Canadian plan.
Surprised? Liberal leader MayDion said the Liberals would oppose the Harper budget without knowing the contents of the budget.
MayDion = Gore = all-knowing left liberal socialists.
    Socialists: Ignorant of their ignorance.
Socialists: the same everywhere, in every country, at all times.
    …-
    John Baird:

  38. Albatros – are you Beer and Popcorn Scott Reid or one of his former Martin researchers.
Your abrasiveness and ability to twist facts and blindly propagate half truths is very familiar.

Well Lorraine in my above statement at 4:53 you must see something you don’t agree with. Please be more specific, or is this just another one of those personal attacks that ignores the issue at hand, and which cons are famous for.

  40. Just breaking:God save us all! Another Trudeau WINS…can’t wait for the media love-fest…gotta go throw up.

  41. Cal2: LOL, what comical irony!
Sammy: Thanks for the breaking news, no surprise even though he was trying to create a bit of suspense.
Now the Libranos have a chance at another Trudeau in their ranks, alls right with their World.
Where are all the women Dion is going to have in the Party? Trudeau just beat out another one!

  42. well, alby, I guess it all depends on what countries one is trying to impress……I would rather impress the free democracy’s of the world(Australia, America, Israel, Holland, Britain, Japan, Korea)than impress commie euro-weenies, tin-pot dictators, mad mullahs, and the rest of the unstable countries…I’ll take my friends over your friends any day

  43. Lorraine: Your going to have to stop telling it like it is, your hurting our “guest’s” feelings. Truth can hurt, sometimes hurt like hell.
Or on second thought, let’s say if one can’t stand the heat, the option to get out of the kitchen is always open.
