Guess who?
“I’ve been reluctant to name traitors— but I’ve got one for you: Ron Klink, some former Democrat Congressman, is blaming the plot to blow up the Sears Tower on the fact that Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction. If this were World War II circumstances, and we had the virtues of that era, Ron Klink would be lined up and shot. That’s a traitor.”
“When did that (being mean) enter the public debate, that someone is ‘mean’?” … “We’re having an argument, I’m winning—and they sit back and cry and say, ‘Oh, you’re mean.’ When did that happen?”
“Because they send out victims as spokespeople!” … “Not any more, I might add! I think I ended that little trick. Oh, they’ll still do it, but everyone’s going to be sitting back in their living room rolling their eyes now.”
“Well, I was not surprised to find out that Sean Penn plays with dolls. I did think they’d be larger and inflatable.”

I loved this interview with Ann Coulter! One gutsy and smart woman. We need far more Ann Coulters; if more of us spoke up the way she does we might find fewer nasty, rude, uninformed libs framing the arguments. We’ve got a long way to go up here in La-La Dipper/Lib Land.
The interview is definitely an antidote to the crap stuff Shelley Soams is now spouting and playing on her musical program on CBC, paying tribute (excuse me?) to gays’ and lesbians’emancipation, especially siting the Stonewall Riots/Rebellion. I’ve just heard ‘The Rainbow Chorus singing an Andrew Lloyd Webber tear-jerker about wanting to be in darkness no more. Sob. Gag. Throw up.
“Mean” is the new “racist”.
PS–Shelley Soams just read a tribute to Judy Garland by “a maven” (did she mean “coven”?) of the gay/lesbian fraternity/sorority, who said that Judy dressed like a hobo was Judy “in drag.”
EXCUSE ME????????
Judy was just dressed up as a hobo…
Gays are trying to reconstruct our whole world. May I just suggest: STOP, PLEASE. ENOUGH, ALREADY.
“Queer” commentators are expert at finding “gayness” where none exists — movies like “All About Eve” and “Johnny Guitar”. But point out that most child molesting Catholic priests also happened to be admitted homosexuals, and suddenly “gayness” is invisible.
PS: I personally want the rainbow back. Here is a perfectly natural symbol of cheer and renewal, now forever tainted. It is a poor symbol for gay rights anyway, because queer activists are more hostile to “diversity” than your average Klansman. The pink triangle was more apt; they all prize victimhood anyway.
TTRB: New addition to NetLingo: Take the Rainbow Back.
Yeah!
Keep it coming Ann. The great thing about Ann is that she won’t apologize for being right — and I don’t mean “right wing”. She tells it like it is, doesn’t sugar coat reality and the libs go apoplectic when their rose colored glasses get ripped off their faces and they are forced to confront the glare of reality.
Speaking of “queer”, if ever a ballistic nuke were to have a foul up with its guidance system, it would be my wish it would land smack dab in the middle of the advertising firm that does the latest Special K commercials.
Yes kiddies, the human rectum has gone mainstream and we must celebrate this mystical orfice with tolerence, understanding, leather chaps and a big parade.
#uck…..
Perhaps it’s time to cash out all of my assets and go live off the blueberries and jackfish in the woods of northern Saskatchewan because this “progressive”, modern world is starting to get to me.
If the Sears tower is at risk of demolition it probably has more to do with the fact Larry Silverstein owns it and has double indemnity insurance on it in the event of a terrorist attack.
Not that homosexuality is the point of this thread, but…
Some film critics are suggesting that the new Superman Returns movie portrays Superman as possibly being gay. I just KNEW there was something wrong with a guy who wears tights and a cape.
Let’s de-gayify this thread and get back to Annie.
You can thank New Kid and her preoccupation with gays & lesbians for the direction that this has taken. Not that I’d prefer to talk about Annie…
Watch your back Anne!
The Left will now try to paint our Anne as a criminal on some trumped up charge. / half sarc
It is probably a good thing Anne is a lawyer as the DemoRats will attack her arguments by attacking her personally with some judicial attack dog.
They’ll try to prosecute her for something (anything) any minute now.
Read the full article before you comment.
Coulter is a wild undisciplined, but extremely sharp mind. That’s not a bad thing.
I find her fascinating. I didn’t care for her comment to “deport all liberals” but I can understand the sentiment (that’s the lack of discipline). If there is anything that today’s conservatives have over liberals is a REAL sense of tolerance for differing ideas and opinions. On the other hand Coulter is right about characterizing most liberals as seditious in a time of war and that needs to be dealt with before it brings us all down.
OK, I’ll admit to not being the sharpest or most sophisticated knife in the drawer – but I found advertising an MA in Diplomacy inserted into an article about Ms. Coulter … well, it struck my funny bone. Anyone else?
I usually try to avoid her ravings, even though she generally speaks for me.She at times seems an eyeblink away from dropping her dopey expression and going into a rage-filled attack on anyone she opposes.
Maybe some consider her entertainment, but then some consider pro wrestling entertainment too…
It is surely a fact though, that Ann Coulter is to liberals what Bill Cosby is to inner-city black parents.
Ann Coulter said,”God gave us the earth. We have dominion over the plants, the animals, the trees. God said, ‘Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It’s yours.'”—Hannity & Colmes, 6/20/01
Yup, she’s a treasure alright. Hopefully someone will bury her soon.
Coulter is the political version of Paris Hilton with a lip and a quip. Like Paris she plays the media like a violin. The talk shows like her because she is provocative, like Truman Capote, used to be. In the end, her cultural value will be useful only as a reference in the way that I have used Truman’s name.
Ann would slice and dice Steve D.
‘Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It’s yours.’
Isn’t that an adapted lyric from some track by “industrial music” pioneers Whitehouse? Sounds like it!
I love Ann. I despise some of her views and statements (such as the one that got her tossed from NRO “Invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity”… was with you until the last point babe) but she is right, accurate, and devastating in an argument. And she ain’t exactly breaking camera lenses either.
What I don’t understand is Dems taking her on on ground where she’ll win. Attack Godless for its ignorant attitude towards evolution, rather than its fair and devastating attack on the Left’s attempt to triumph through biography rather than argument. But the tv airheads don’t know enough to actually challenge her even where she’s weak (or outright wrong), so she skates by on evolution (Darwin’s specific predictions are wrong, we’re looking at more punctuated equilibrium rather than slow changes, but the basic idea holds) and mops the floor with everything else.
Its fun, just wish she was a titch more responsible and had better opponents. The NYO article is great, gives you a real sense of who she is. Just wish she wasn’t too old for me!
I still have not seen this huge best seller for sale anywhere.
What is up with that?
Come to think of it I have not seen any of the conservative best selling books on store shelves.
Canadian Conservatives have to buy conservative books online and have them delivered in brown wrapping paper.
Liberal or Conservative, Republican or Democrat, anyone with a tone so consistently smug and self-congratulatory is headed for a long and much-deserved fall.
“so consistently smug and self-congratulatory”
Did you find that phrase while looking in the mirror? Obviously so.
Coulter is the flip side of Michael Moore. Same intellect, same conceited arrogance. Different body types though.
Coulter is the flip side of Michael Moore. Same intellect, same conceited arrogance. Different body types though.
I read somewhere that Ann grew up in a house full of boys; I think she’s “the baby” in her family. OK, lefties, don’t make hay out of her being the youngest. I said “the” baby not “a” baby…
She’s obviously honed her skills with bullies very well. OK, I’m not suggesting that older brothers are always bullies, but they’d sure have more muscle power at their disposal, though Ann’s not bad in that department, either.
I don’t think she’d be the easiest or sweetest dinner companion but she’d definitely keep you on your toes.
Having read some of her books I’ve learned tons about a lot of topics that are either taboo in the present politically correct hemisphere or that are heavily censored by the “powers that be” in academia and the MSM. Coulter is a lawyer by profession, which shouldn’t surprise anyone, and does her research well. That’s one reason why the left hate her so much. She knows what she’s talking about, and she skewers a lot of their cherished but not*based*on*a*shred*of*truth orthodoxies.
She’s a knowledgeable leftie/political correctness iconoclast, not a guest any left/libber would want at their dinner table let alone living in their neighbourhood. These l/ls welcome diversity and are so open and tolerant!
I like Ann Coulter. She is a pop icon for the conservative movement.
It’s nice to have a counter pop icon to do for the Right what movie stars are constantly doing for the Left.
Conservative like her because she articulates their outrage against the constant assault on traditional culture.
Ironically, the Left created an opportunity for the rise of someone like Coulter.
Down here, Democrats have completely gone through the equivalent of a sex change.
When I was a kid, Democrats were basically sane people. I’ve mentioned before that John Kennedy was a hawk with his own military record, who saw lowering taxes as a method of returning more money to the public treasury. He also had an interest in government promoting social welfare.
I’m not a big fan of President Kennedy, but in some respects he’s a model for what Democrats used to be. Today Kennedy would be a Republican.
The problem for Democrats is that their big money contributors are now fruitcakes. As a consequence, when Democrats become public spokesmen, they feel they must outrageously tilt to the Left, to cater to the huge sources of money that expect those sentiments.
Remember, Bush’s first nomination for Secretary of Defense was former Senator Sam Nunn, a Democratic hawk widely revered for his expertise on military matters.
Sam Nunn and all of his Democratic cohorts had to leave the Senate because the Left no longer had a place for that sentiment. They’re all Cindy Sheehans.
Joe Liebermann is being threatened by candidates from the Left, because they do not see him as sufficiently whacked out to hold the mantle of Democratic office, and he is one of the sanest Democrats up there.
Think about it for a second. Here’s Liebermann, who has not only been a senator for several terms, but has been a Vice President candidate, elevated to a national stature in the American body politic that most senators don’t have. He is regarded as acceptable, if not desirable, by moderates, and even acknowledged by a couple of people on the Right. And the Left wants to kick him out.
The best thing about Ann is the reaction she gets from the left.
I just love it when lefties are reduced to blabbering, frothing, rage-filled lunatics! Even if this is not that far removed from their natural state.
And as for the “I don’t care for her ‘deport the liberal'” sentiment, remember that people say things tongue-in-cheek. Remember sarcasm. Also remember that it would be nice if we could… lol.
Dear Doug,
Was that your smug and self-congratulatory way of calling me a hypocrite?
