    Visiting the troops, Family oriented tax policy, tough stand against terrorism, the friendly public relations and information spokesman for the government, warring with the hated Liberal media… all is Right with the world.

  9. So Stephen Harper fosters cats? Now I know he has to be a good guy! Dogs would be okay too, but cats are better. Nice photo. It’s sort of hard to imagine a guy happily snuggling an ordinary cat as having a scary “secret agenda”!

    Whoever got this pic in the paper of Harper with Kittens has gotta be a genius. Not to mention going for the juggler.
    The Liberals are as corrupt and baseless a group as ever was. Without the power of political office to help cover up their evil doing they are swinging in the wind.
    My only question is why is it taking so long for everyone to get it. And vanquish them.

  20. Even more impressive is that the PM has asthma, which is usually incompatible with being around pets, particularly cats with their unique dander. He looks like quite content, doesn’t he? And yes, a man born to be PM. As for Volpe, when the discrimination card doesn’t work anymore, you know you’re toast, and he and his toadies did try to say this was a smear against all Italians. I’d say he was getting advice from Hoffa beyond the grave.

  23. My very manly and very busy husband signed us up to foster orphaned kittens a few years ago. He would let them sleep under his chin; had more patience than me in feeding them with little eye droppers and then he would even make up adorable adoption posters on his computer for their cages when we had to return them to the SPCA.
    This brings back those memories – especially of those big strong hands so gently cradling a tiny kitten barely as big as his thumb while at the same time making tough decisions to contribute to making the world a better place.
    I see what Laureen sees in her remarkable husband and I also think Canadians are starting to get it…we finally have a real leader.

  29. For animal lovers everywhere. Here is a link to some pictures taken over 24 days. They were taken of hatching hummingbirds. Make sure to go to the bottom and continue to the next page. The last page shows how small the nest is. Makes you wonder how the two little duffers fit in there.

    You got that right — and excellent judges of character, cats! Hard to fake out a cat. Cats know! If you can get a stranger cat to come up to you, you can take a bow. You’re good folk!
    Harper’s job#1 was to prove through his action on the job that he is a good non-scary man and very able PM. He has aced the test. He will get a majority next time out — and a convincing one.

A Conservative that babysits orphaned kittens and wants to finish his book on hockey. No wonder the Liberals do so well with the convict population. My only question is: “How close to the bottom of the evolutionary chain do you have to be to vote for a Liberal?”

    There’s too few dots to connect. Us liberals get it. Take baby steps and sidestep the MSM until he gets a majority. Then we’ll see the real stuff….
    Loss of choice for women.
    Crimminalize marijuana use.
    Abolish same sex marriage.
    Theological conservatism.
    Kissy ass with the USA.
    Our troops in every American conflict on the planet.
    Conscription.
    Racial profiling.
    Better roads in Saskatchewan.
    etc. etc. etc.

  40. Look out he’s starting to look more human everyday. Likes cats, hockey, walking his kids to school, is more worried about wife and kids than himself, says nice things about God. Consorts with neighbors and ordinary Canadians. How could this be the same guy the Liberals and MSM are describing to us as scary? Are we so suspicious, we can’t just sit back and enjoy the ride, the pleasant company?
    P.S. Hans; Although I doubt Volpe knows how to operate a backhoe, much less a shovel, he probably wasn’t looking for Hoffa, just his stash.

  41. The kitty in the foreground looks just like my brother’s cat when she was little.
    Someone mentioned PMSH’s asthma, but bear in mind that that’s not the same as being allergic to felines. I know, for my dad has asthma to such a degree that he must take all sorts of drugs to prevent any attacks. He has no problem, however, being around my brother’s two puddytats. So I know PMSH has no problem with pussy.
    Sorry, Kate, but that pun makes our leader look cool! Not that he needs help… he’s way cooler than any Librano ever could be!

  44. Apparently Laureen goes to the SPCA shelter on a regular basis and picks up a few kittens every time she’s there.
    There’s a room at 24 Sussex just for the orphaned cats: Kids and Cats at 24 Sussex rather than Skids and Rats.
    Now that’s REALLY scary.
