Monte Solberg: Most Feared

  1. Just maybe all those terrorists on the deportation list are fearful that Monte will order the police to enforce it. Maybe those terrorists planning to bring their families here are afraid he will demand proof they are family. If they want westerners out of their lands, why can’t we demand they get out of our land. The left is afraid that political correctness is going to go the way of the dodo bird and we will be able to say what we think, and the media will have to tell us the truth. Sure glad my grandkids have no intention of going to university in the east. How did that idiot get to be a professor. Makes me have second thought about recognizing immigrant qualifications and degrees etc. Still waiting for someone to list any work of art, literature, invention or medical advance from any muslim country. Also wonder, if the prophets face has never been shown how they know the cartoons depicted him. The muslim dane who took those to the ME should be put on trial for crimes against humanity. He didn’t intend the violence to happen, and we are supposed to believe him, but not believe the paper had no intention to insult. I would boycott all muslim products but I don’t think they have any, so will boycott any business that they own or work in. Has anyone noticed if the rioters are stopping five times a day to pray.

  2. maryT–Arab countries contributed EVERYTHING to western culture before the Renaissance. The ‘numbers’ you use are an in-yr face example. Problem is, nothing culturally useful for 5 or 600 yrs.
Muslim “products” to boycott???? ROFL-how about starting and finishing with OIL!!!!
Good luck w THAT boycott, even if 90% is our own, we are dead without saudi crude.

  3. Mary: Has anyone noticed if the rioters are stopping five times a day to pray.
Good question Mary. I doubt it. Apparently one is excused from praying when in the middle of rioting ,killing infidels, and denying freedom to others.

  4. Does this mean that I have to ask them if they are eighteen years old, before I send them back to where they came from in a plastic bag with a zipper on it, (made by Dow Chemical)?

  5. Pedro “Britain knowing how to handle terrorism?”
Ever heard of the IRA? Forgotten them already?
After 7/11 Londoners got back to business, not forgetting but getting on with their lives. American’s still haven’t overcome their fear of air travel, just ask any travel agent.

  6. Why aren’t these radical leaders and mullahs being prosecuted under our hate crime laws????
What the Hell makes them so damn special in Canada or other Western countries?
Charge them under the hate crime laws and put them in prison or deport them at once. Period.

  7. “Good luck w THAT boycott, even if 90% is our own, we are dead without saudi crude.”
And the Middle East returns to the Middle Ages without a market for their crude.

  8. I wonder how loud the howls from the ME would be if we beheaded a couple of their self-righteous militant pieces of sh*t that hide behind “words of convenience”? I say start the clampdown on any radicals that preach and teach and encourage terrorism and hatred. Never mind that “meek shall inherit the earth” stuff. The meek will inherit sh*t at the present rate. What WILL they be like once their oil runs out? Expect mass migration then.Hmmm…. speaking of which, why is that Khadr family still living in this country? The same one that announced on public radio that it supports Osama, and that terrorism IS the only way? Same one that is currently on trial in US? They voted Fiberal? Oh…. that explains it! Thank god *gasp* the bleedinghearts were running things, otherwise we might not be blessed *gasp* with having them here.

  9. Snookie,
I’m as lefty as they come but I’m all for locking up hate mongering, terrorist recruiting folk.
It’s important that this be done in a tough but fair way. Any whiff of racism surrounding it will just play into the radicals hands as they’re imprisoned leaders will just serve as figures in exile to rally around.
Highly public radicals also serve as an intelligence goldmine for law enforcement. So just because they are at large doesn’t mean that nothing is being done about them. You can bet law enforcement worldwide are watching these people and picking up loads of useful intel.

  10. Damn, can you imagine what life would have been like without the muslim “golden age”? We would be running around all day trying to figure out what comes between “1” and “-1”. We’d have to study Zoroastrianism in our Great Religions of the World courses. And we’d have oh-no-more-in-tact-ancient-cathedrals to visit on trips to Mediterranian Europe. The horror!

  11. People, you have it all wrong.
The “Most Feared Five” is the CIC’s version of the “Magnificent Seven”. It’s a compliment, a badge of honour even.
I vote for Toews to be the “Most Feared” of the “Most Feared Five”. Monte can have the Steve McQueen role.

  12. Monte Solberg
    On our streets.
    With a keyboard.
    And ideas.
    In Canada.
    I’m not making this up.

  13. Sorry mrtisaduffer…Monte had to hang up the blogging keyboard when he entered cabinet. But, I’m sure he’ll write some very amusing replies to petitions from unsavoury immigration lawyers, and Sacha Trudeau.

Joe: for an interesting answer to your question, Mark Steyn hits it (“Battered Westerner Syndrome inflicted by myopic Muslim defenders”). He’s bang-on in his analysis (Steyn usually is), and this is a must read for anybody surfing this blog:

Elmasry is an anus. He’s allowed to spew his idiocies (ref. Kate’s link on his comments that any Israeli over 18 is a legitimate “target”), but runs crying foul when anyone dares question Islam or its own “hidden agenda”. He embarasses me as a UW Alumnus, considering the university did squat to censure (not “censor”) him. I’ll wager they’d have no problem with haranguing a Jewish prof who thought Palestinians over 18 holding rocks were all legitimate “targets”.
It’s a great thing for blogs such as this, and Angry’s. You’d never see such discussions as permitted by the MSM.

  15. NCF “Damn, can you imagine what life would have been like without the muslim “golden age”?”
The Dark Ages would have lasted longer. Mind you depending on your political and religous inclinations that may not have been a bad thing.

  16. Why aren’t these radical leaders and mullahs being prosecuted under our hate crime laws???? What the Hell makes them so damn special in Canada or other Western countries?
Come on, you know the Politically Correct System of Values – it’s mainly about race and victimization. As most Muslims have olive or brown-toned skin and are minority communities in the West, it is racist and intolerant to criticize or censure them. Hate laws are only for Caucasians, unless perhaps anti-semitism is involved.

  17. NCF To “Jose, are you trying to tell me that the Muslims brought us the Renaissance?”
No. The Dark Ages ended around the year 1000 AD (although there are other dates bandied about). The italian renaissance started in the 14th century. Muslim influence in Europe started in the 9th century with muslim kingdoms in Spain and Sicily. By the time the muslims were kicked out both Spain and Italy were thoroughly influenced by Islamic culture and science.
The principle reason why the renaissance happened in Italy rather than Spain was largely due to a) they had more money and b) Spain purged itself of all things muslim (niceties like bathing daily and tolerating jews). An interesting aside, after the spanish finally booted the muslims they booted the jews too (they were percieved as too pro-muslim).
That the Muslims at the time were centuries ahead of christians scientificaly and technologicaly is well documented. Some of the muslim rulers even maintained public libraries. Most of the classics got reintroduced to Europe via these people. The barbarian hordes that sacked the roman empire weren’t big on things like preserving and maintaining extensive libraries. Hence the term Dark Ages.
You don’t need to take my word for it though. Here’s a good place to start if you want to do some more reading http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Age_of_Islam

  18. The barbarian hordes that sacked the roman empire weren’t big on things like preserving and maintaining extensive libraries.
Neither were many Muslims, come to think of it. Library of Alexandria, anyone?

  19. Jose:
“Highly public radicals also serve as an intelligence goldmine for law enforcement.”
I would like to think so Jose. BUT, at what cost is that intelligence gained VS the damage done by the radical preaching? Gathering a lil intelligence whilst the clerics indoctrinate a small army of suicide-bombers hardly seems a fair tradeoff. To be sure, laws should be applied fairly. I’m afraid it is another case of muslims will have to start the cleanup themselves. They are aware of who is radical and who is not. There is the .22 (cent) solution…. fairly applied of course 😉

  20. Okay, Boeing will now take your orders for the F/A-18E and F/A-18F Super Hornet… and on the side, a few EA-18G Growlers…
Go kick some butt, Harper. Do it now.

  21. Having watched and read all the comments re Emerson, those against his appointment remind me of the actions of the rioters. When will we see mobs of voters in red scarves marching in the street. Mob rule, in our cities, in Canada. There is no set rule when a by-election must be called, so those opposing this better get a grip. Be without an MP for at least 6 mos or take what you got. And those ministers that are upset, remember Harper giveth and Harper can take away. Lots of Alberta MP’s ready to step in and fill the gap. How long before Garth, with all his outrage is probably planning to cross the floor and run for the liberal leadership. He is just another failed leadership candidate of the conservative party who is getting even. Anyone know who beat him. All the so called conservative voters (I think they voted green or NDP) are just trying to topple Harper. Just wait for their reaction when the truth comes out and there are no huge surpluses. The libs can’t stand the fact that all their sleaze of the past comes out. Where is Martin, remember how the media bashed Harper when he was unavailable after the 2004 election. Not a word or photo op of Martin. At least the libs now have a declared candidate for leader. When will BS announce. Now, if one of the elected libs runs for the party leadership, they will spend most of the next year out of the HofC, campaigning. If two run, that leaves another one gone. That would bring them down to 99 in their seats, as Martin will be a no show. Gives Harper a better chance to get his program thru, as he can follow the libs procedure and hold all votes at 11.00p.m. when he knows there will be few opposition to oppose him. The liberals will have taught him well.

  22. Substitue Homosexual every time infidel, jew, racist and other words are used in every clerics rant and see how long it will be before they are charged with hate crimes. Time to call them what they are and charge them all. Time to deport those who support by their silence or inaction this violence. Just let those against Emerson try this hate talk and see how long they are free.

  23. Free speech and immigration
Various “Canadian Moslem organizations” are already in full swing spreading the idea that preventing any bad opinions about Moslems is the main concern we Canadians should have as a result of the Mohammad cartoon caper. Well no! I prefer maintaining freedom of expression. Not freedom of expression as defined by a bunch of politically correct do-gooders and ethnic groups that have no interest in Canada other than to use Canada for their own purposes. Freedom of expression based on the idea that I have a value as an individual, not just as a member of some ethnic or religious group. Thinking and speaking out is an important part of my value as an individual. There has to be a very good reason to restrain this aspect of my value as a being. I do not recognize the primitives who have usurped the proud tradition of Islam as a force that I want to bow down to in Canada.
We need a Canadian Cultural Coalition that lobbies government in favour of preserving our way of life. That way of life is welcoming to people who respect us, not to people who resent us and only want to pursue their own perverted agenda.
While a lot of attention is focused on Moslems, there is an even larger problem looming in Canada. Most of the Chinese speaking media, including Chinese-language newspapers, radio stations and websites are controlled or largely influence by the totalitarian government in Beijing. Immigrants coming here from the PRC are a) largely brainwashed b) very nationalistic about China c) often persuaded to help the motherland before they come and after the get here. I often hear them telling themselves that they are along with the French and English one of the three major culture groups in Canada.
That would bed all right if they stuck to Lion Dances and dim sum. The problem will arise when it comes to foreign policy, language policy and other policies that will further divide Canada and encourage other groups to ask for the same.
The fundamental issue for the future of Canada is immigration. Will we allow Canada to become culturally very different from what it is now. Note that I am talking about culture and not race. If we allow too much immigration from a few countries we will not be able to culturally assimilate these people. Canada’s history is built upon assimilation, voluntary assimilation. This is often against the wishes of the first generation of immigrants, but it is a healthy thing. Canada as a Metis, mixed society of people who buy into a common culture is a healthy concept. Multiculturalism is a dead end and phoney.
Canadians need to be concerned. There is no justification for the present high levels of immigration. It is time to organize!
