Once the election is over, then the crying begins. Well, actually it has already started. I really enjoy conspiracy theories: JFK, Roswell, Bigfoot, etc. Soon we will get, “the CIA rigged the Canadian Election” theory. I looked forward to this one. It will most likely be put forth on Monday night. By thursday it will have evolved into, “I heard from a guy that hacked the CIA website! This is true man!”. Usually spoken over a beer and a toke. Within two months the CBC will be running the theory, hinting that the lack of actual facts are all a part of the elaborate plan to cover up “the conspiracy”.
The Dippers will go the hardest on this one; finally having an election tappering story of their very own. Unfortunately, like the 2000 U.S. Presidential election, this rumour will never die. It will go on for many, many years. Conspiracy groups will form, letters to the editor will be written and protests will be held. There will be annual gatherings in the desert to exchange ideas and information, but really it will just be an excuse to get high and loose.
Eventually, in time, there will be lectures, books and maybe even a movie. Well, for sure a CBC movie, but nobody will watch it, except the faithful.

I did see the cbc “news” tonight, it was noted by Mr. Harper that the NDP did conduct a campaign that was deserving of respect…. no such words for the Liberals and the endless lies. In the event of a minority, it is possible this campaign may bite the Liberals in the ass again. There is still the Gomery final report next week… The RCMP / SEC investigation of Mr. Goodale. The looming Edmonton Centre ennumeration scandal? there’s so much material to work with here. Its all got legs.

Well perhaps a bit inappropriate but still funny. Rice is good; sharp and intense. People keep floating her for ’08. While I’m undecided, simply due to her shorter period of experience, there’s far worse choices out there. Well, here in Nova Scotia our “progressive” leadership seems quite infatuated with Castro’s Cuba and increasingly so with Chavez’s Venezuela. On the other hand, the vineyards there leave much to be desired. The recent election in Chile, however, has cheered them immensely.
