More on 7/7

MIchelle Malkin has been working overtime on London bombing linkage and commentary. Or just go to the main page and keep scrolling.
Also, via this link rich post at Protein Wisdom, a quote from Cliff May at the Corner;

On the BBC today one British official was quite puzzled that the terrorists would strike during the G8, a time when world leaders were addressing “poverty, inequality and injustice.”
That presupposes that the terrorists care about “poverty, inequality and injustice.” How stupid do you have to be to believe that someone who takes money from a Saudi billionaire to buy bombs cares about “poverty and inequality”? How ignorant do you have to be to believe that to Radical Islamists “justice” means anything other than infidels choking on their own blood, their civilization burning and a glorious, renewed caliphate arising from the ashes?

That’s the problem in a nutshell – there are a lot of stupid people in Canada who believe just that. The most serious aspect is that we’ve managed to elect a whole bloody government full of them.
Also – a preliminary report from a “source inside the Pentagon” that one of the bombers was a recent Gitmo release.
Finally – observations about the relative weakness of the attack from the decidedly unstupid Wretchard.

  1. That comment says it all.Mindless incomprehension at the evil that will not go away, and a desire to do anyhting at all, except accept that it must be eradicated by brute force.

  2. Unfortunately, the current Banadian government will have to be eradicated before there will be any progress on the issue.
I wonder if a can of Raid would work in the Librano caucus … hmmm

  3. We will never solve this problem with the current crop of nit-wits we have in gov’t.Rob…I suggest a VERY big N-bomb to make sure the bastards don’t live to reproduce…check out what they’ve allowed to happen at my site under “Fox News”

  4. As I posted today, CSIS flagged what I would describe as our leftist-enabled terrorist-sheltering habit well before 9/11… for all the good that’s done.

  5. With all the pressure over from the left about GITMO, I wonder if there being forced by the left to rush a little to much:
One UK Bomber Was Recent GITMO Release
7 July 2005; 12:54 ET: Preliminary reports from a source inside the Pentagon indicate that one of the operatives involved in this morning’s bombings in London was recently released from the prison at Guantanamo.
UPDATED 10:35 PM ET: A clarification was made by the source providing this information, noting that “one of the bombers who is believed to be involved in this attack was recently released from the prison at Guantanamo, Cuba.” The source did not elaborate about how the suspect was reportedly identified so early, although suggested he was onboard bus 30 that exploded outside of the British Medical Association at 9:47 local time. We are continuing our investigation.

  6. Justtninkin – yup, seen that, and had commented on your site before. Your right about the bastards, it’s going to take a fair amount to push them out. I’m waiting for the nutbag lefties to start there comments tomorrow.

  7. So who was minding the store while 10,000 police officers are pulled off the job to be cannon fodder for the herd of pucking anarchists in Glen Eagles? All it really need was maybe dozen with Uzis. The good citizens of London can thank Geldoff and his fascists for the carnage in the streets.

  8. So… if these terrorists, who we seem to be presuming are al-Qaeda, are funded by “a Saudi billionaire”, why are US troops currently occupying Iraq, rather than Saudi Arabia? I would have thought that, after you catch (or at least try to catch) the guy responsible for 9/11 (bin Laden), you’d catch the guys who fund him and his network.

  9. And I love it when someone who proposes using Uzis to control a crowd then calls the crowd fascists.

  10. Our prime ministers are not elected- they are appointed by the parties they represent. Then, they in turn-appoint their cabinets, judges, ceos of crown corporations, etc. Neat system (until the Mafia is installed at the mint).

  11. Uh, Dale, Bin Laden is the Saudi billionaire who was expelled from Saudi Arabia and was harboured by the Taliban in Afghanistan. As for the anarchists and their ilk, since their raison d’etre is to cause chaos by violent means, it is appropriate to be prepared to respond strongly, though British police aren’t equipped with firearms.

  12. CanRev: Fair enough on Bin Laden (I’m just not used to hearing him referred to as a billionaire — mostly the words used to describe him are not so kind). But that still doesn’t explain Iraq.
Re violent anarchists (by which I mean the real violent anarchists, not peaceful protesters), respond with necessary force, sure. Tear gas, etc, yes. But Uzis…?
Maybe I’m oversensitive, but I have a bit of trouble with people advocating violent repression by the police, whether or not they might claim to be joking. I thought that the whole point of this war on terror was to spread freedom and protect our way of life. But if any of our own people don’t like the way we spread this wonderful freedom… crush them like eggs!

  16. This is why we should enforce the Geneva Conventions

And I mean ENFORCE, as in holding trials and hanging the scumbags in Gitmo instead of treating them like houseguests. And it’s why I consider Durbin, et al., traitors: 7 July 2005; 12:54 ET: Preliminary reports from a source inside…

  17. Dale, Bin Laden and Al Quaeda are an international organization operating in many different countries. Afghanistan and Iraq were the most visible countries, the former as per my previous post. For Iraq, various documents found after the liberation of Iraq demonstrate connections between Saddam and senior Al Quaeda operatives and leaders, including a significant amount of funding. Thus, in order to try and destabilize the places in the world where Al Quaeda can be based and receive funding, attacks were launched first against Afghanistan and then Iraq. Do I sense from your post that you wish the U.S. and the international community to invade other countries as well?
I think you’re taking the use of hyperbole by other posters re Uzzis a little too seriously. If the government was being repressive with the protesters, NONE of the protesters would’ve been allowed in the area. The fact that the anti-globalization crowd (represented these days ironically by Geldof et al) were invited to some of the G8 talks is a sign of governments being at least willing to listen to an alternative view point. I’d hardly call that crushing them like eggs. In the end, the G8 countries are democracies, if these protesters don’t like the policies they can exercise their democratic rights and vote the governments out. Just because the people they wanted in power didn’t win, doesn’t give the protesters the right to try and extort policy changes via so-called “peacful protests” which almost always erupt into violence.

  18. Yes, our entire government is composed of these brainless dhimmis. But since our enemies are so stupid, when they finally make their move on Canada, they might just blow up the House of Commons and dispose of them all at once. So far, their grand strategy of trying to cow the infidels by bombing them in their own backyard has been a failure – neither the U.S. nor Australia has buckled, and I expect Britain will be strong too. They only got lucky with Spain; maybe those centuries of Muslim rule left behind an icky streak of the “submission” gene in the Spanish.

  19. Here is a taste of interesting goings-on from Michelle at http://www.MichelleMalkin.com
After the Luxor massacre, the Egyptian government posted a list of 14 men it said were linked to terrorism. Seven were living in London.
Organisations allegedly linked to Egyptian terror movements have operated out of London under a variety of names. Algerian terrorists, too, operate in London.
France, which has been the target for terrorist attacks, has sought, often in vain, to have the alleged perpetrators extradited. In 1995, after a wave of bombings on the Metro, the French government said the campaign had been ordered from London.
It asked for the extradition of Rachid Ramda, 35, said to be the organiser of al-Ansar, a newsletter of the Algerian Armed Islamic Group, who was alleged to have passed on funds to Islamic terrorist units in France.
