  1. Yeah. But it’s still caused by cAGW.When the revolt comes,I know the first place I’m heading for.

  2. I guess the anti-global warming programs really did work.
Getting that corn into ethanol has worked out brillantly: global warming solved, too cold to grow corn, corn not needed anymore.
    See BIG government does work!

  3. CAGW be damned….the PDA is at again….ya know that El Nino/La Nina thingy.
I’m still close enough to the land to know and to point out that pretty charts/maps are unnecessary. Most years here in SW Morontario….there is signifigant activity on the land at this point. A lotta years a lotta corn planted.
Recent blizzards and snowfall in the midwest mean that they haven’t turned a wheel either. Impatience/panic will mean a lotta seed…mudded in….
Oh well….dry seeding means a wet harvest and visa versa.

  4. Just to nitpick(heh),that would be the PDO(Pacific Decadal Oscillation). It remember kiddies, the sun has absolutely NO impact on our climate, according to the eco-cultists. Darn. What a waste with the sun using 4 million tons of mass a second to produce heat, etc.

  5. If you missed the debate about NASA climate activist James Hansen on Power and Politics on Thursday, you missed some great entertainment.
Stockwell Day and smarmy NDP spokesman Ian Capstick went at it after host Evan Solomon portrayed federal minister Joe Oliver’s pushback against Hansen’s oil sands statements as an ‘attack’ on Hansen.
Day pointed out that Hansen recently went on record as attributing the fact that temperatures have not risen as quickly as predicted because China’s coal-fired plants were cooling the planet.
Capstick tried to portray Day as anti-science and asked him how old the earth was. Day turned it around and asked Capstick how old he thought the earth was.
    “5.6 billion years,” Capstick said.
“Thanks for letting me know,” Day said.
    Beautiful.

  6. Lord knows when the cold wind blows it’ll turn your head around…well, as long as you don’t have a vested interest in hot winds, that is.

  7. When the music stops. Quite a few horsemen on the horizon. UG99 wheat rust is still spreading in the food baskets of Africa and moving into the Middle East and India. China has 25% of the world’s mouths to feed and 6% of the potable water and 7% of the arable land. The growing season’s seem to be getting shorter in the Northern Hemisphere. The countries of the West are bankrupted by 50 years of socialism and are all hitting the windshield one by one. When the much hated world’s policeman the USA finally crashes, all we will hear is why don’t those damned Americans do something. China has bought hundred’s of millions of acres of the best foodland in Africa and are shipping all the food home to her masses, the dummies in the west are still sending free food to feed the AFricans, as China consumes AFrica. But this is good colonialism by a Communist Country so the leftwing is silent. And the UN vacuums up billions mostly to maintain its own bureaucracy, and we continue to send money. Idle No More has taken over the UN, let them all eat fish broth…….

  8. Up until yesterday I had a bookmark to wunderground_dot_com to check forecasts, local and otherwise.   Then I noticed a new ‘Climate Change’ tab at the ‘wunderground’ website.   When I clicked on the ‘Climate Change’ tab I see (my emphasis in bold):
Earth’s climate is warming. This time, humans are mostly responsible, and the overwhelming majority of climate scientists agree. Climate change is already causing significant impacts to people and ecosystems, and these impacts will grow much more severe in the coming years.
WTF?   I’ve moved to ‘Intellicast'(dot_com) for my weather.
    .

  9. According to newswatchcanada.ca, the BBC is reporting that the earth’s core is 1000°C hotter than previously thought.
Clearly this is proof that AGW is the biggest threat to mankind ever!

  10. Not that I’m cynical, mind you, but if this chart was showing record heat and drought measurements, I have no doubt I’d be seeing it on every newscast, front page, and the occasional T-shirt. As it is, if I didn’t drop by here from time to time..

  11. Thank god all those record weather events stopped at the Canadian border and everything is normal up here.

  12. Earth core temperature 6000 C.
Joe Biden recalls it being several million degrees. We are doomed by the rapid cooling!

  13. Wow the core of the planet is hotter then we previously thought, now we just have to figure a way to blame people for that…..perhaps we could change a fundimental law of science and declare that heat doesn’t rise it goes down.

  14. Don’t worry we can just turn the windmills toward the corn fields. With all the hot air enveloping the continent those wet farmlands will be dry in no time:)
