Here come all the wingnuts to say:
– covid-19 was developed in a Chinese lab as a biological weapon
– Theresa Tam is a Chinese agent / sympathizer and should have recommended closing the borders sooner rather than listening to China / WHO
– the Chinese covered up the seriousness of the virus and have drastically under-reported the number of deaths and can’t be trusted
– the WHO is a corrupt organization that actively helped China cover up the seriousness of covid-19
– masks “activate” the virus and Judy Mikovits is the only one brave enough to say it, and she is being censored because they don’t want you to know the truth
– Justin Trudeau is an incompetent traitor for not closing the borders right away, and for sending tons of PPE to China
All while at EXACTLY THE SAME TIME, saying that the entire virus is a hoax, Covid-19 is less deadly than the average flu, and masks are useless because the virus is a harmless hoax anyway.
The level of mental gymnastics required is quite mind-boggling.
China created the virus in a lab and released it intentionally, but it’s as harmless as the common cold. The WHO helped China cover up the seriousness of the virus, but it isn’t serious at all. The borders should have been closed earlier, but the virus is harnmless and there’s no need for any restrictions.
For the record, I believe there’s a very good chance China created the virus in a lab. There’s a 100% chance they covered up the initial spread and are lying about their numbers, and the WHO is corrupt and helping them do it. Trudeau and Tam most certainly ARE incompetent morons for giving away PPE and not closing the borders sooner. But all of this only makes sense if you believe (like I do) that the virus is not a hoax. It’s not the end of the world, it’s not the apocalypse, but it is a serious situation, it’s far deadlier than the flu, and it is killing a lot of people.
I don’t recall many commenters here saying it’s a hoax. That is more a US thing. What many of us say here, and in the US, is that the economic shutdown has gone on long enough. It wasn’t to stop the spread of the virus it was to allow time for hospitals to realize capacity to treat serious cases
In my city and surrounding area in N. Ontario we have less than 20 cases and none hospitalized.
Time to reopen. People can wear masks or not.
For some people talk of another month or 2 of this appears to be a plan to destroy our way of life.
Sporty the plan is the destruction of our way of life. People who have their heads so far up their ideology that they are unable to function has been the death of the country.

I also agree with Sporty about the economic damage of the lockdown. I personally would have avoided, or only had a short lockdown if I had a choice.
I like to think most posters on SDA are concerned about both the chi-com-covid and the lockdown’s economic & societal damage… I have no argument, both are serious problems.
Regardless of our beliefs on the merits of this or that, we should all remember what the PRC & the WHO & their many friends did to put the entire world into this bat-shit show.
