There is increasing confidence that COVID-19 likely originated in a Wuhan laboratory not as a bioweapon, but as part of China’s effort to demonstrate that its efforts to identify and combat viruses are equal to or greater than the capabilities of the United States, multiple sources who have been briefed on the details of early actions by China’s government and seen relevant materials tell Fox News.
 
This may be the “costliest government coverup of all time,” one of the sources said.
 
The sources believe the initial transmission of the virus was bat-to-human, and that “patient zero” worked at the laboratory, then went into the population in Wuhan.
 
The “increasing confidence” comes from classified and open-source documents and evidence, the sources said. Fox News has requested to see the evidence directly.

  1. The country that bears such risk but has no restrains or expertise to control it must be barred from further attempts.
    The 70s anthrax outbreak in the former Soviet Union has occurred in the city built purposely for bio-weapon research. There was no spread to the mainland. In contrast, China conducts this research in the middle of a multi-million city. Someone must be smacked over the head with a piece of rebar. This includes everyone who has aided and abetted them, regardless of who they are.

    1. China should officially become a pariah State, the UN a pariah Agency, and any American Company who manufactures anything in China be denied incorporation in the USA. American Markets should be closed to China until such time they become a transparent Democracy.

  8. I watched Tucker Carlson, as I do most nights, and he announced all this, excepting Canada’s contribution. It’s really no surprise to any of us who access sources other than the MSM, including our invaluable and beloved sda.

    There have been three major theories circulating about the origin of this bug that I’ve noticed.

    1. It was introduced to a Wuhan wet market by a bat, one that apparently isn’t sold as a delicacy there, or
    2. The US Army introduced it to discredit the People’s Republic, or
    3. It was released accidentally either from Wuhan’s Level 4 lab, or the other lab in that fair city.

    A further more extreme theory that it was released deliberately in an act of biological warfare was probably invented to make ANY accusation of Chinese malfeasance appear to be a “conspiracy theory,” engaged in by the far right, as CBC so subtly puts it.

    I suggest younger readers look up William of Ockham, not to be confused with Bad Orange Man, and consider that Occam’s razor leads us incontrovertibly to the Theory 3. That would certainly explain why the Chinese government was clearly so eager to cover up their negligence in a combination of saving face and CYA.

    Any competent actor, even a substitute high school drama teacher, should know that timing is everything. We’ll call that a miscue for Justin.

    1. Option 4 would be a deliberate contamination, AKA biological warfare. Once it’s done who and how are they going to be held accountable?

      1. There are enough espionage novels featuring this idea that it would not have been spread so sloppily. That it hit China first and their attempts at covering up (while spreading to the winds) seem to indicate accidental/incompetent release.

    If he was the President of a company, and he caused the deaths through negligence of even 1 person he would be Criminally Charged and be in prison.

I can understand the political downfall of the opposition parties not supporting government aid programs in Canada during Covid-19. But $828,000 to China?? That should be enough right there to take the Liberals down with a no-confidence vote! !
