Scientists believe in a paradigms if a large group of prominent experts believe to have the facts, all others in the same field of study have to follow the paradigm or find themselves without funding and or a position at a university. That’s how the British scientist fell for the Piltdown Man hoax. As for Climate Change, Philip Stott said it best 14 years ago at a debate “It’s always the Polar Bears”.
That was Kuhn’s thesis, but it turns out that for the 20th century, at least, he was wrong. What happens is the older scientists who believe paradigm A all die or retire and are gradually replaced by younger scientists who believe paradigm B, who will in turn be replaced by a newer generation believing in paradigm C.
I recall asking a research PhD about this and he acknowledged that in his experience this was in fact the case. When I asked him if this then did not imply that the scientific method had been completely abandoned – since scientists would never abandon a paradigm even if it was found to be completely unworkable, and the new paradigms were being proposed by a generation who could not possibly have put in the research hours necessary to either disprove the old paradigm or construct a new one – he got very quiet and changed the subject.
It used to be saidthat science proceeded one funeral at a time so that there was eventual turnover of ideas within university departments. This is no longer possible due to research funding, especially in medicine. You can only rise academically if you publish, so you have to choose subjects of interest to funders and publishers. Once you are sufficiently eminent you ascend to regulatory bodies where you preserve the interests of your patrons. So one can enjoy the ironies of an international diabetes conferencebeing funded by CocaCola. The biggest funders of medical research are the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation who have effectively captured the vaccine industry and its regulatory bodies, able to mobilise vast resources into unpersoning or at least derailing the careers of dissidents.

The takeaway I got from his talk is that there are likely a great number of useless or barely effective drugs on offer.
Presumably doctors will prescribe according to their own experience unless the pharma salesman can influence them.
With the pandemic over they’ve flipped back to ‘climate crisis’. Everything said in this video can be directly applied to research, studies and reports on ‘climate change’. Crazy part is that everyone knows but ignores that not one of their dire predictions over 40 years has materialized.
Moreover, they blatantly ignore that previous records of floods, fires, drought, tornados, hurricanes and heat occurred in the 1800’s through to the 50’s. They ARE NOT more frequent or more severe than in the past. Ten minutes of searching will illustrate this. Damage is greater due to increases in habitation, particularly in desirable but vulnerable coastal areas where the well to do like to live.
Science has been co-opted as a political mechanism.
