  1. How to insert the conflict of the left/right paradigm as a replacement for the conflict of the 4 hidden dynasties (Education, Economy, Politics, Religion) versus the 4 carpenters. Zechariah 1:18-21 (the Law, the Prophets, the Gospels, and the Epistles)

    Excerpt;

It thus appears without the shadow of a doubt that the day assigned to the Birth of the Lord, namely, December 25, was the day on which He was “begotten of the Holy Ghost”, that is to say, by pneuma hagion = divine power (Matthew 1:18, 20 marg.), and His birth took place on the 15th of Ethanim, September 29, in the year following, thus making beautifully clear the meaning of John 1:14, “The Word became flesh” (Matthew 1:18, 20) on 1st Tebeth or December 25 (5 B.C.), “and tabernacled (Greek eskenosen) with us”, on 15th of Ethanim or September 29 (4 B.C.).

  3. Merry Christmas everyone. Couldn’t get past the first minute of the concert, however. That’s got to be the worst version of Little Drummer Boy ever. Kind of like The Avengers’ rendtion. Bigger is not always better. That would have scared the Bejeepers out of the baby.

  4. Merry Christmas ________Why am I thinking History will repeat when History is not taught to following generations.

Three (3) generations back The Fascists in Germany colluded with the Communists to destroy the Civilized Discourse and then the Fascists –National Socialist Government eliminated the Communists.

Certainly the past U.S. Administration uncertain actions with the Islamists and the now colluding with the Socialists is the similar pattern.

Fortunately the response of the New Greatest Generation has put into place an Administration Leader which has kept the majority of Islamist incursion of Shore and has revitalized Christianity and American Greatness cultivated in the “Great Experiment” to reinforce the constant pressure from the Socialism meme of failure.

Canada, as it presently stands with internal borders, ‘not so much’.

  5. A very Merry, Happy, Christmas to all, and especially to our gracious hosts. As I await the imminent birth of my first grandchild, I think of the greatest birth ever. May each one of you experience the birth of something great in the coming year.

    1. Chemis-tree…. good one! I never saw what’s known as a “Christmas tree” in the oil industry: a wellhead with a set of valves in a vertical stack.

Wishing you ALL a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS…!!!

    1. Moi in Calgary: I captured a very neat shot outside at sunrise @ 8:45 am– it was of my giant 25 foot pine tree, the sun was peeping through the branches mid-way through the tree, it looked like…
God placed a single glowing Christmas ornament there!

To the left there was my HBC flag …and the “flag was still there!”

  7. Merry Christmas Kate & family.

Like Bob, 1st site I open each day, then catch updates throughout the day.
Build in a rest this season. You deserve it.

  10. “… History repeats because it is not taught.”
    Disagree.
    Simplistic.
Time swirls in currents, like eddies in my river, so what goes round comes around again. Also humans are nostalgic, what’s old becomes new again.
Merry Christmas to Kate, Lance and faithful contributors
    Thank you

  11. Kate and Lance. Merry Christmas and all the best for the coming year for you and yours. I can only imagine how much work goes into SDA. From Sioux and I, it is so appreciated. Good job! I am so thankful for all the contributors and the thought provoking things they add. Even those who shall remain nameless. Your neighbors to the south love and appreciate you.

  12. Merry Christmas

And aren’t we glad we have fossil fuels generating electricity tonight. Here in Alberta wind power is at 9% of capacity. Solar is at zero.

But no worries in the green NDP world there will be cold lentils for Christmas dinner, not turkey.
