Cheap Filler

Some items from the archives – including a woke philosophy lecturer apologising, at length, for his own heterosexuality; a Guardian columnist warning that exercise “makes you rightwing”; a feminist and self-described “educator” who insists that minority employees shouldn’t have to be reliable or competent; and an artist having an “intimate relationship” with an indoor pile of dirt.

  1. Remus and The Woodpile Report

Hans Bader at Minding The Campus comments on the “vast armies of college bureaucrats and administrators” needed to enforce diversity:

The University of California at San Diego, for example, is creating a new full-time “vice chancellor for equity, diversity, and inclusion.” This position would augment UC San Diego’s already massive diversity apparatus, which includes the Chancellor’s Diversity Office, the associate vice chancellor for faculty equity, the assistant vice chancellor for diversity, the faculty equity advisors, the graduate diversity coordinators, the staff diversity liaison, the undergraduate student diversity liaison, the graduate student diversity liaison, the chief diversity officer, the director of development for diversity initiatives, the Office of Academic Diversity and Equal Opportunity, the Committee on Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Issues, the Committee on the Status of Women, the Campus Council on Climate, Culture and Inclusion, the Diversity Council, and the directors of the Cross-Cultural Center, the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Resource Center, and the Women’s Center.

If diversity is our strength, if diversity’s rewards and benefits are so compelling, if diversity is ardently desired by all, why so many enforcers?

    and finally,

Spring, the first full flush of jade green, the urgent timetables of birds and beasts, and for the two-legged ones as well. The winter’s list of gotta-do and should-do presents its invoice, payable net thirty days. And so I’ve been working outside like a nineteenth century coolie on the Union Pacific, which chews up time otherwise used to compile Woodpile Report. Day laborers mining bat guano caves don’t know how easy they have it compared to me.

But enough whining, let’s get to Yer Ol’ Woodpile Report, right after this old ad.

    1. And, yet, students complain about how much they pay in tuition. The kiddies demand all this bureaucracy, not to mention all those fancy-schmancy facilities (such as climbing walls in the gym and dorm rooms that look like they belong in a Hilton hotel), but they don’t want to pay for any of it.

  2. There is a reason why Muslims put their women in a big sack with their bodies nondescript and covered up. Those Muslim men don’t tolerate insane harpies who hate them for simply being men. Remove the temptation to find women desirable and voila … more goats get love and more women get a cat.

So … let’s promote the Burka for all Canadian women and avoid these uncomfortable situations where men may try to get a date with a woman.

I am sooo sick of mentally and emotionally disturbed left-wing people spewing guilt and hate all over the place. This shit has to end. It’s tearing us apart.

  3. You know if what was considered normal just a decade ago is now right wing, then I guess I will have little problem figuring out that I’m right wing.
Those leftovers though are going to have a hell of a time keeping up appearances with the means test getting changed every hour to comply with the latest orthodoxy.
    Fyi
If anyone hasn’t grasped the baseline rule of the left. They will never be pleased unless every vestage of Western civilization is eradicated and once achieved will then turn on each other.
    Its what they do.
