  1. Yes, but this is climate change snow, not to be confused with regular snow or ice age snow! Sheessh you deniers crack me up! The next thing you’ll be saying that the sun controls the climate or some other foolishness!

    1. Surely you’ve received the “scientific” explanation … it’s called a … “polar vortex”. Caused by global warming, triggered by your selfish driving of a Ford F-150 and thermostat set at 70deg. F.

Freezing cold EXTREME weather events are caused by your sinfulness … Repent Now! … and put the prescribed tithe in the carbon collection plate

  2. And the sun shines out of my ass. Climate Scaritty Cats are the worst totalitarians in the world plus they would drive their car off a cliff to save a nut hunting squirrel.

    1. Actually, the Climate Scaritty Cats want everybody ELSE to drive off their own cliffs just in case there IS a nut hunting squirrel as predicted by the current Climate Change Doomsday Model.

Thereby reducing the Nut Hunting Squirrel Mortality Rate (as predicted by the current NHSMR Model) by 0.00000001476983% …

  3. Yes, really – That’s WEATHER, not CLIMATE! How many times do we have to clarify this to you unibrows???
    /sarc 😉

  4. “Data from NASA suggests it’s global cooling”

No it doesn’t. This snow also really doesn’t mean anything. The data is clear that human-induced global warming is real and mild.

        1. We can only hope that global warming, aka climate change is something mankind – or as our Prime Minister would say, ‘peoplekind’ can impact. Because I’m afraid rd has a valid point. With little to no sunspot activity lately, we run the very real risk of another Maunder minimum. And it won’t be pretty.

          1. Exactly. He is full of the stuff I used to shovel into a pile behind the barn and haul onto the field.

Hopefully it is not just freezing Al Gore at an inconvenient time but also an inconvenient place.

        2. Nothing you said is true. 20 plus clicks on cars that were minute and then it says I need to find something else.

      1. Can’t wait for Junior&Butts to impose a price on sunspot-free solar days to prevent any Maunder Minimums.

We should be happy to have an evidence-based regime running the country because we need to show leadership to the rest of the world…

        And because science is HARD…

    1. unDork, it has now been recorded that the 10 miles up to 400 miles up has lost a huge amount of heat (AKA energy) and has shrunk a lot, that you fool points to cooling. Throw in the fact that CO2 traps 3 frequencies that radiate up from the earth, 4.26 mm, 7.2 mm, and 15 mm. 15 mm is the only one in the IR portion of the spectrum, and H2O also traps 15 mm, SOOOOOOOO unDork, 95% of 15 mm is being trapped, and to trap any more is an exercise in logarithmic math. Sooooooooo unDork, you may as well consider that it has reached saturation point. And you call yerself a fu*king scientist??????

NO unDork, there is NO goreBULLwarming

    2. Explain the Medieval Warm Period please. Oh…and don’t bother with that crap that it was “regional”…..because it was global. As for the data being “clear”, are you referring to the raw data or the long term adjusted data……which really is the only factor in showing warming.

    3. Actually, Undun, there is no data that indicates such. It is an untested speculation. And, even, a wonky one. The theory says that the CO2 induced warming is very small, but POSITIVE FEEDBACK will make it big. Which is of course utter nonsense as, if there were positive feedbacks in the Earth’s climate system, then we would already be boiling hot or really, really cold.

The application of Occam’s razor suggests that any modern temperature variations are totally normal and natural, not unusual. And this has never been disproven (the null hypothesis) and until it is, I shall call BS on any Warmista.

      1. I think this is where the ‘we need new paradigms of space and time’ thingy is supposed to kick in.

        Because Junior is no dummy…

    4. There is zero proof showing a man-made climate warming signal in the data. The Earth’s climate has not exceeded natural variability and any so-called man-made trends is demonstrably cherry -picked narrative manufactured nonsense.

  5. Aren’t we about due for a flip of the earth’s magnetic field?
Now that would be truly catastrophic. Better get some research going on how to stabilize the earth’s molten core.
It would give the climate change “scientists” to really sink their teeth into.
I mean the San Andreas fault might start spreading wide apart instead of moving north south. Then coastal California would move into the Pacific Ocean.
I’d be glad to coordinate the funding efforts… for a modest fee.

    1. Better get some research going on how to stabilize the earth’s molten core.

You mean that dreadful movie from a few years ago, The Core, was supposed to be a documentary?

      1. Honestly, the pending, “geologically imminent” field reversal scares me far more than climate change ever will.

      2. musta bin reaaaaaally bored the day I sat thru that one.
lots of candidates for ‘worst movie ever’, but THAT is *the* *worst* *one* Ive seen.

  6. The current solar downturn is more similar to the Dalton minimum than the Maunder (at least to this point). We just had a modest peak in 2014, the Maunder was more or less spotless for five decades. However, nobody knows for sure what lies ahead, there is no developed totally reliable science of forecasting sunspots either, just broad general indicators.

The Dalton minimum lasted from about 1795 to 1835 and produced three weaker than average peaks separated by longer than average intervals of “quiet sun.” Temperatures in Europe dropped (on average) in winter to similar levels to the Maunder but other seasons were less impacted. It seems that the same may be true for North America although the amounts of reliable data are rather small.

The idea that a new glacial period lies around the corner is somewhat of an urban myth (perhaps rural myth in this case), orbital parameters do not support such a notion. At worst, the modest human warming signal will partially cancel out a colder natural turn and we’ll get more rain and snow than average over a few decades. Maybe that will please the climate change crowd who have been hungry for bad weather and want you to pay more for gas to get some.

  7. I’ve been saying that indeed the climate is changing — it’s going to get colder — since 2006, but nobody listens, or else they think I’m nuts, not to be taken seriously.

    1. That Tony Heller video is excellent. The weather network in Canada has essentially turned into a propaganda outlet for the kind of nonsense Tony is talking about. During the harvest this year, when farmers were attempting to gather in their crops, the prairies were hit with 5 weeks of winter. Yep you guessed it, according to the weather network climate change was the cause.
