Come now, you know the drill – That’s just a weather anomaly, and has nothing to do with climate.
Who owns Total Petroleum? Where does Total get their oil (Iran)? Who has funded the Trudeaus and Liberal Party for fifty years?
Putin and Trump are obviously behind all this.
This ice caused inability to ship will tend to increase oil prices. The worlds banks and oil production and technology firms appear to be accepting the terms of the American sanctions on Iran because they want to stay in business with the US. This will also tend to raise the price of oil.
And of course Canada is well positioned and ready to take advantage of the price increase by greatly increasing exports through its large and finely tuned pipelines.
Oh wait, we’re not, Trudeau and Notley, Tweedledum and Tweedledummer, have once again dithered us into a corner.

A man made an interesting point a few days ago. He said that you can tell a lot about someone by what they wish for other people to have. For example, a rich person who lives in a nice neighborhood, drives a nice car and eats in fancy restaurants might want others to have the same opportunities.
People like Al Gore want us to use less energy and emit less CO2 while they continue to burn the CO2 like a large African village. So what does that say about people like Al Gore? Judgement by action, not by words. Or as Confucius would say “The drunk is happiest guarding the scotch”.
Lefty loons are always claiming that we capitalists want the poor to stay poor and that we are stealing from them.
We capitalists make and sell stuff and poor people make lousy customers – they have no money. That’s why we hate for people to be poor and want them to be rich – so they can buy from us.
We don’t steal from poor people because by definition, they have nothing worth stealing.
The complete inability of the left to understand these simple points highlights their essential idiocy on economic.

That’s funny but I think I can do one better. The loss of ice mass in the west Antarctic ice sheet is one of the poster boys of catastrophic anthropogenic global warming. Dozens of studies, horrible humans are to blame, computer models show catastrophe, we must fundamentally change our energy and economic system…the usual ‘end is nigh’ climate doom. There were indications that there was more to this story that didn’t involve human CO2 emissions but this is, well, a hilarious turn of events:

Guys, guys…it is an newly discovered active *volcano* right under the area that’s losing ice. I’m pretty sure that an active volcanic heat source dwarfs the rather puny 0.12C per decade of human induced warming. The denial that the newly discovered active volcano is a major culprit of ice loss is a powerful example of the destructive power of conformity and consensus in science.
The article I read had the West Antarctic ice loss at 7 Gigatonnes, plus or minus 46 Gigatonnes. So we’re doomed. If the sea level doesn’t get us directly, the water from the error bars will.
Absolutely, the government should evacuate all oceanside residences immediately and ban any housing at least a mile from all coasts. For the safety of our children and grandchildren, of course.
They are too blinded by ideological fanaticism to figure that out.

To really get the humor, think of it this way: imagine taking land and ocean temperature readings near the recent volcanic eruptions in Hawaii and climate scientists refusing to acknowledge that those the eruptions have any impact on the increased temperature readings. Perhaps saying “please ignore the red hot lava and sizzling ocean…the glowing balls of fire behind us have no impact because numerous studies say that thet are not a major source of heating.”
