  1. Jerry Brown HATES automobiles. Jerry Brown HATES freedom of movement. Jerry has systematically PUNISHED automobile drivers by allowing, nay planning, the deterioration of California’s highways. Jerry has siphoned-off the gas taxes, bridge tolls, and every other automobile-funded tax pools in the State to fund his deficit spending. Imagine paying a Contractor to install a new bathroom in your house, only AFTER you have PAID for the job, the Plumbing Subcontractor says he wasn’t paid by the General Contractor, and demands MORE money if you want running water in your new bathroom. All because the General Contractor spent the Plumbers fee on booze and cocaine. That’s what Jerry has spent our gas taxes on … the booze and cocaine of pet liberal projects and bloated public pensions that are bankrupting the State. Oh … yeah … and all the FREE SH_T for the 10 million Illegals living in CA.
Last time a leftist Governor tried this (raising auto registration fees), we impeached Gray Davis … and we got Arnold (Global Warming) Schwarzenegger. So now … we have a docile electorate and a Supermajority of EXTREMIST liberal politicians. Unlike Venezuela, which CLOSED its borders to imprison the population … Californians will FLEE this Leftist Eco-Tax experiment gone bad. Destination Texas … or any other State that values its citizens over FAILED leftist ideology. I simply PRAY that Jerry doesn’t completely CRASH the CA Real Estate market before I head for the EXIT.

  2. The place is a virtual hotbed of left wing nutbars. No idea is too stupid to be contemplated.
Juxtapose that set of circumstances against the fact that the CA economy is humming along and is what, the 6th largest in the world?

  3. The candles that they’re blowing out are undoubtedly made from beeswax from free-range bees, or some such nonsense.
I left nearly seven years ago. I’ve been back twice, and each visit reinforced my belief that I made the right decision in leaving.

  4. and when the shrill sound of capandtradeists dies down having met their objective, what of the commerce and industry that found the grass is greener in other quarters?
let me posit that the other quarters allows all manner of carbonaceous substances to enter les environs. thus, the ‘safe space’ created by the vilifying of the old schoolers, comes back to stay. but the finances remain in their new quarters tqvm.
be careful whut you wish for !!

  5. The Companies MUST consider what happens when California and Wash State fall off Federal Contract roles.. If Boeing can’t sell planes built in Wash State to the Government, they are flat lined until they move all Aerospace manufacturing to more friendly states. Declaring War on the Feds has consequences…

  6. As if the taxes on fuel in California aren’t high enough. In Blythe, diesel fuel was a few weeks ago $2.99 a gallon. In Ehrenberg & Quartzsite it was just under $2.50 . Just on e example. There is absolutely no reason to go to California.

  7. Oye , in Wawa Ontario, regular gas $1.20liter or $4.55 USG
    Suck it up buttercup

  8. I am always amazed at how intelligent people who live in large urban centres somehow can not understand consequences. Whether it is running up to a wild polar bear in hopes of petting or hugging it or voting for the most ‘progressive’ candidates the average urbanite seems completely oblivious to the inevitable outcome – great pain and suffering and certain death.

  9. That is becaue you are obviously labouring under in the context of a false pretense. How can you believe them to be intelligent, when they have never demonstrated an ability to reason or act in their own self interest?
