Reader Tips

I’m on the road for about a week, so activity here may slow to a crawl outside of a few posts I’ve scheduled to appear while I’m away. Check out the blogroll, and leave your tips in the comments.

  1. Rolling Stone settled their defamation case with the UVA Administrator, Nicole Eramo.
    ”
Eramo had alleged the botched article portrayed her as indifferent to victims of sexual assault. In November, a jury awarded Eramo $3 million after finding Rolling Stone and reporter Sabrina Rubin Erdely defamed her.”

The magazine still has suits from the Fraternity and the individual fraternity members to go.

  2. I hear that United Airlines has decided to rename the class of seats directly behind Business Class to “Fight Club”. In addition, they have updated their mobile app to add a “drag & drop” feature.
    I’ll get my coat.

  3. Rimshot!
But give your coat to the CEO of United. He’s going to need it if it rains while he’s looking for work.

  4. well, there it was agin, smack in the middle of a recent hollyweird flic:
what is the human sexuality rule, the standard response when actors are doing the ‘cherry pop’ scene and the woman fusses up ‘never didit b4’, suddenly the guy loses interest.
this has been going on since at least the release of ‘last picture show’ back in the 70s.
is this some kind of inside frat joke?

  5. No matter the issue, radicals and statists, even on contradictory ideas, always agree on the tactic, in this case shutting Hirsi Ali up:
“Like other criticisms of Hirsi Ali, the effort was to portray her as the problem itself rather than the response to a problem. Once again, mixing up (deliberately or otherwise) the arsonist and the firefighter, such groups present a homogenous, agreed-upon opinion — or “narrative” — as the only necessary answer to any problems that may or may not exist. Hirsi Ali, according to them, thinks the “wrong” things and says the wrong things. Therefore she must be stopped.”
Well said. The radicalist concoction. Mix your metaphors and stir vigorously. Works for:
    – climate change
    – the mediocracy
    – Islamophobia and all the other isms and obias
    – the Clinton Foundation
    – big government solutions to every “problem”
    – Donald Trump
    – anything to the right of Stalin
    – Susan Rice
    – I’m sure others can add to this list …. 🙂

  6. Rush said that United just needs to change their “small print” to say “if you get bumped, you might get beat-up’.
The travesty of this entire incident… 1) the passenger had it coming; and 2) the police don’t work for United.
This story is absolute proof that “perception is reality”.
    Cheers

  8. “Freeze Frame” was played on local radio stations every hour in the early 80’s.
There were a lot of songs by that band, such as Centrefold, that got a lot of airplay during the early and mid-1980s.

  9. No credible evidence presented so far of Russian electoral collusion with Trump, whom the radicals are so sure stole the election from the Demobrats?
No problem; Dems believe it. That’s all statists require, their belief and ignorant arrogance in assuming only their view is “correct.”
Or is Trump a neo-Hitler, remember – the left loved Hitler, so it stands to reason eh? No wait – they only liked him because he “got things done.”
It’s so hard to keep one’s totalitarians straight. Clinton uranium deals? Irrelevant you say; they don’t fit the false narrative silly.
It seems bringing up “new” non evidence isn’t getting Trump impeached, to enable the statists to confirm they weren’t really thrown out of office.
No, the “rich,” stupid, irredeemables & racist deplorables were duped by Putin into voting for Trump, with new voters obviously injuring democracy.
All these conclusions required was evidence, which alas, was never there, until now.
Finally the great day has come – the establishment has Trump right where they want him, with SUBLIMINAL EVIDENCE:
“For months leading up to the 2016 election, countless left-leaning commentators pushed the narrative that Trump’s rise imitates the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich. “Over the past year I’ve been reading a lot about what it was like when Hitler first became chancellor,” MSNBC host Rachel Maddow said in October. “I am gravitating toward moments in history for subliminal reference in terms of cultures that have unexpectedly veered into dark places, because I think that’s possibly where we are.”
Rachel thinks that’s possibly where we are, given subliminal references unexpectedly veering into dark places.
How definitive – and unprecedented – when was the last time we saw references act like that?

  10. Obvious proof of Russian collusion with Trump and the GOP. Things are different at the UN Security Council now that Obama is gone.
After all he abstained on an Islamist motion furthering the murderous rage directed at Israel, rather than veto it to protect an ally.
Remember belief is all that’s required to dump on Trump, that someone’s, indeed anyone’s “suspicion” is proof of guilt.
Except for Susan Rice, Lois Lerner and Hillary Clinton of course.

  11. Does anyone have any idea what’s going on in North Korea right now?
Some of the news sources I monitor suggest that some sort of military action is imminent.
First, the U. S. Navy deploys a battle group to the area. China reported to have moved around 150,000 troops to the area near its border with NK. The Gateway Pundit suggests that Seal Team 6 is getting ready to take out Kim and that Pyongyang is being evacuated.
Fake news, or will there be a shooting war on the Korean Peninsula?

  12. Seal Team 6 is getting ready to take out Kim
What sort of evening of dining and dancing have they picked?

  13. Eggs thrown, with widespread food shortages
