    1. Precisely. Paying off the Lieberals w/ a carbon tax in order to get a pipeline. Just like any mafioso…

    2. It’s Theater of the Absurd. And they’re all pretending it isn’t.

  1. Adam is a little bit of a loony toon with his wanting to build a choo-choo from Calgary to Banff …. he is using California’s POS high speed train as a model 😉 … just kidding with that.
However the government and the CO2 price is a fuster-cluck no matter how hard you polish that turd & Ottawa is full of world class turd polishers.

  2. The only part of the MOU that will be executed is the Carbon Sequestration project, and the increase in the Carbon Tax. Both are without an redeeming characteristic except appearing virtuous and making a lot of money for the government AND/OR Brookfield Asset Management and by extension, the ganav (thief) in charge, Mark “My word is worthless” Carney.

  3. L – If the federal government was removed from regulating, gutting or strangulating the oil industry in Western Canada. What would investors say?

    1.”Goodbye Carney”

    2. “Drill Baby Drill”

  4. Here is where I remind you that slightly more than one year ago … I bought the dip. And I encouraged you all to buy the dip … artificially created as a political stunt … Wall Street selling-off on the Eve of and shortly after Trump’s tariffs.

I have never made so much money … so fast … so predictably… in the Stock Market … esp. my Energy Index Funds. You should have INVESTED in Trump … not SOLD Trump. Elbows out, bank accounts down.

  5. only in Canaduh could this abject failure be deemed a success in some secret dark corners.
unfortunately in this ‘post national state’ those dark corners are . . . . . . where the decisions are being made.

  6. All this “carbon” crap is nothing more than NEP2. I was working down near Milk River down by the Coutts border crossing and as I was driving, I was listening to CBC (the only radio station I could pick up decently). I was listening to that prick Marc Lalonde beaking off in Parliament “answering” a question about the oil drilling equipment that was leaving Alberta for the U.S. He said there was no movement of equipment to the south……and I took a look over to Highway 4 and what did I see? Miles upon miles of oil field drilling and support rigs waiting to get across the border into the U.S.

Liberals are liars, pure and simple.

    1. I grew up near Milk River. Was driving freight truck along Hiway 4 during the early 80’s when all the drilling equipment was headed south. Lalonde was a lying prick.

  7. Thank Set, the Snake God, that this was an interview on CBC, our National Broadcaster. It is not like slimy social media, where they cherry pick their guests, have coached answers designed to misdirect, and, edit out warts.

My astrologer told me to hold up on opinion about this Canadian oil industry stuff until after October 17th. And whatever happens on October 17th just might have some impact on the American elections that happen close to that time. I asked him to explain, but the mysterious, mystical, and, mighty Sargon the Magnificent, Financial Astrologer to Municipalities, told me to burn patchouli incense to draw wisdom from the air. Also, epsom salts in the bath water: good for hemorrhoids and political insights. You can thank him later.

  8. Carney wants to make Canada an energy super-power? When did that happen?

    1. Well, if by “an energy super-power”, he means “3rd world resource hub to the larger world powers, with absolutely no ‘end product’ manufacturing or refinement capabilities”, I would say.. about two decades ago? Give or take maybe 5 years?

    2. Didn’t Carney consult the indigenous ‘knowledge keepers’ who told him the great mother turtle was going to provide an alternative energy the colonial white men never imagined? Whatwith their racist geology, math, metallurgy and physics …

  9. When evaluating PM Carnage’s stance on pipelines east and west, remember that his investments – including those in oil and gas companies – are NOT in Canadian companies but are very much in US companies. So any decisions he makes will be to the benefit of his investments south of 49. Expect more pipelines north-south than east-west.

  10. No private sector pipeline proponent would consider investing in a new oil pipeline based on the MOU knowing the expectations that you are about to become a cow with thousands of teats to be milked by every species and Indigenous and green interest group between Alberta and the coast.
