  1. Move along. Nothing to see here.
The mainstream media are on the Sun God’s side. Don’t expect much from them. The rest of the media are too small to make much of an impact.

  2. The good news is that no matter what Tootoo did to get kicked out of the corrupt Liberal Party the Media will be there to dismiss, deflect and to ultimately run cover for their masters in the Liberal Party. No matter the circumstance, hookers, cocaine, whatever, it will all be treated as no big deal. The Media and the Liberals just had a big party celebrating themselves and their return to power they’re not going to let anyone (Tootoo) or anything (Turdo losing his shit and assaulting a woman on camera) interfere with their return to power. This story will disappear faster then Trudeautard can scream “get the f##k outta my way” and tit punch a female MP. This is definitely a story the Media have a need NOT to know.

  3. When the Canadian Conservative Party re-asses its political wilderness situation, invites OSOYOOS BC FIRST NATION CHIEF CLARENCE LOUIE’S MOTHER to lead the CONSERVATIVES IN CANADA, their political fortunes will bring them back to power in Canada.
    I AM …… THAT I AM
    IS ALL POWERFUL…
CANADIAN MEDIA…………..LIBERAL NICE HAIR GUY, ……….. BOOTLICKERS

  4. Previously, whenever journos felt obliged to say something positive about Harper they would frame the comment with “I’m no Harper fan but”. I figure this was code for other jounos, just to make sure everyone knew they were not going against the media party. Clearly there was a level of discomfort in saying anything positive about Harper — and of course it happened rarely enough. So now I am waiting for “I’m no fan of Justin, but.” Somehow I think I will be waiting a long time.

  5. Maybe in the Peg, it fits into a gender neutral hole. If amorous activities were involved, one would think the Hooker would be willing to open his/her mouth for a few dollars.

  6. Yep, you should. And if you are not already aware, you should go back to their post from Saturday, November 29, 2014, wherein we all learn both what was really in the first shoe, and get an early example of just how far the professional media will go to protect the Sunny King.
That said, there really does seem to be a cone of silence over this one. Sordid gossipy details usually float up to the surface rather quickly, and what is alluded to in The Black Rod’s report and the terse references by the shiny pony and the Liberal whip seem to be more vague cover stories; even deliberate distractions. Other reports from Mr Tootoo’s acquaintances, including those who shared his company in Winnipeg, express puzzlement as they saw no evidence of any behavior out of the ordinary.
Which makes me wonder if the Mr Tootoo’s real crime was crossing the boss. Mr Trudeau loves to talk open government and free will, but his track record (the 2014 incident being but one example)is increasingly Mr Butt’s agenda (whatever that may be) and arbitrary direct action when this is frustrated. Could it be that a minister from Nunavut (where politics by consensus is a way of life) missed the memo on the imperatives of Cabinet solidarity? That, say on the issue of assisted suicide, the illusion of free will apparently open to Liberal caucus members did not apply to cabinet ministers, particularly when the caucus members were wavering in their support of the Sun King’s agenda? Or perhaps Mr Tootoo confused his status as a minister of the crown with the Sun King’s dictate that “When Mr Butts speaks, he speaks for me”?

  7. You and Dirtman got that right. The media defense of anything Liberal goes back many decades. The Media Party is just another arm of Liberal Party.

  8. Until some one actually tells a more believable story than we are being fed, I’ll stick with my first guess of coke and sex. Nobody quits the caucus because they drink too much, witness Bucky May. Mind you she is the whole caucus.

  9. Look up the MPP Craitor story in Ontario and you may be able to discern a pattern. In that case it was years before it came out Craitor was kicked out as part of a sexual harassment investigation.
The legitimate question is how best to protect the victim, but the government uses it to hide its own embarrassment at the scandal….NDA’s are signed and who knows what promises if any are made to the victim in terms of jobs etc to stay quiet.
I will leave it to you to decide is this page 146 of the Liberal playbook.

  10. One would think that in the world of identity politics, attributes such as increased substance abuse and addiction that unfortunately and statistically “goes with the territory” might be excused but then most here understand that identity politics is exclusively about appearances. Meanwhile the media eunuchs continue to guard the palace.

  11. From the media stylebook:
“Words such as busty hookers and cocaine can only be used in the context of Conservatives or their former associates. Otherwise use the terms sex trade workers and addictions.”

  12. Aren’t the lyrics to the song “you better stop; what’s that sound; everybody look who’s goin’ down”?
    Or am I misrememberating?

  13. There’s something happening here
What it is ain’t exactly clear
There’s a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware
I think it’s time we stop, children, what’s that sound
    Everybody look what’s going down
    There’s battle lines being drawn
    Nobody’s right if everybody’s wrong
    Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind
It’s time we stop, hey, what’s that sound
    Everybody look what’s going down
What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
    Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side
It’s s time we stop, hey, what’s that sound
    Everybody look what’s going down
    Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you’re always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away
We better stop, hey, what’s that sound
    Everybody look what’s going down
    Stop, hey, what’s that sound
    Everybody look what’s going down
    Stop, now, what’s that sound
    Everybody look what’s going down
    Stop, children, what’s that sound
    Everybody look what’s going down

  14. A non-white liberal has double immunity.
The liberal main stream media never says bad things about liberals nor about non-whites.
And to the average person who gets their news from the main stream media, if it was not on the news, it did not happen.

  15. Hunter Tootoo went to town
    Riding Shiny Pony
But Hunter Tootoo got the sack
    For waving his baloney

  16. I forgot about that media directive Walter… you’re absolutely correct, “busty hookers and cocaine” is a Media reference strictly associated with Conservatives, Media rule # 147… thanks for the reminder. Perhaps Tootoo stole Justines favorite bong and won’t give it back or refused a three way with Trudeautard and PM Butthead, who knows… I guess the speculations will continue and so will the Media/Liberal code of silence (Omerta)

  17. I am less shocked that an Inuit Minister would fall victim to temptations of drugs, alcohol, whatever, than the fact that Jr would appoint one as Fisheries Minister in the first place. Last Oct over 30 Liberals were elected in Atlantic Canada, actually only Liberals were elected there. Of all those MPs it is inconceivable that not one or more had some experience, knowledge, background in commercial fishing. What exactly does a Fisheries Minister do, if not oversee coastal fishing? Why would he appoint a minister from the the far north?
The answer is obvious,”It’s 2016″ and he absolutely must have a cabinet representative for the Inuit. The folly of correct cabinet making is also pretty obvious.
Why is Jr not being castigated for this appointment? Did he do any vetting at all?
Think of the criticism Stephen Harper received over the Senate appointment for Jr’s sparring partner. That was different, different party and not the same thing at all.

  18. Perhaps Tootoo was overwhelmed by the 4000 bureaucrats in Ottawa alone that he was thrown in charge of, let alone all those who administer the act and regs all over the nation closer to where anadromous water flows. The Deputy Ministers and their assistants must have so much fun with their “Ministers”!

  19. Look at the rest of the cabinet.
    Can you say IDENTITY POLITICS?
Affirmative action trumps skill, knowledge and ability. Its the leftwing LIEberal way.

  20. I agree Mr. Morris, if a pollster says so then it must be true, regardless of reality. These type of ridiculous PR polls are a prime example of how desperate the Media and their masters in the Liberal Party are to sell the ever failing and absurd notion that Trudeautard isn’t simply a dictatorial half-wit but rather has something else inside his fat head besides some accidental fluff and a pair of Gerald Butts old underpants. IMO if the Media and the Liberals were so confident in the publics “unanimous” conclusion of Trudeautards “brilliance” then the Media and the LIberals wouldn’t feel the need to constantly run polls in order to sell this preposterous claim… I mean Canadians are dumb, but are they deaf and blind too. This PR campaign disguised as “polling” is a cynical exercise in manufacturing a narrative that runs opposite to reality.

  21. The media defense of anything Liberal goes back many decades.
That’s to be expected since the media are staffed with people who could only get libArts degrees like ‘journalism’ or ‘literature’. People with reasoning conservative minds usually get science and engineering degrees or go into the trades.
“The difference between science and the fuzzy subjects is that science requires reasoning while those other subjects merely require scholarship.” — Robert Heinlein

  22. That’s because for Lieberals it’s all about perceptions and how it appears. Whether or not anything meaningful gets accomplished is irrelevant. It’s about looking like you’re trying, and if anything actually gets done, that’s an unexpected bonus. It’s those ‘multicultural’ photo-ops that count. Sunni Ways.

  23. If you have ever been to Ottawa even once, you would have to wonder, what could any human being do to get kicked out of a Canadian political party? What is not already routine behaviour in this cesspool of collapsing streets? This is why I also suspect that Tootoo showed an independent streak unbecoming of a Liberal.

  24. “This is why I also suspect that Tootoo showed an independent streak unbecoming of a Liberal.”
I wonder who is suddenly going to receive an unexpected advancement as payment for keeping her mouth shut about an assault. Only a Liberal would sell out women for coin. Some day we will find out what Hunter Tootoo did but I worry that instead of jail time he will be collecting an MP’s pension.
