The problem is including low levels of antibiotics in their feed for unjustified ‘prophylactic’ reasons. This sort of questionable practice grows ‘superbugs’ with antibiotic resistance. About 80% of the antibiotics produced are used in agriculture, largely for unnecessary reasons.
