  13. Certified humane apparently involves not treating animals with infections and slaughtering them by bleeding them while fully conscious. Not in my world. Why aren’t they in jail?

  16. I am running out of places to dine out. I refuse to eat at any restaurant that brags about it being ‘humane’ or antibiotic free or hormone free’. I especially despise those eateries that use the old muslim lie which deliberately confuses humane with halal if for no other reason than halal is the least humane slaughtering method allowed.

  20. There are handy Halal apps. I boycott all manufactures who pay the Jitza extortion to sharia islam. Like Campbell’s soup. Imagine the toxic hormones from the stress of being abused and bleed to death slowly, smelling death all around…and the meat that makes.

  25. If you can’t hunt or raise your own meat, and are condemned to relying on Sobeys or the Great Canadian Superstore, perhaps best to stick to pork products. And stay out of restaurant chains, because you can’t rely on them not having bought into the current meme of “humane raising” (but halal slaughter) whether or not they advertise it.
    Canada used to look and sound a lot better.

    That is an untrue exaggeration. There is no issue giving animals antibiotics for specific infections. The problem is including low levels of antibiotics in their feed for unjustified ‘prophylactic’ reasons. This sort of questionable practice grows ‘superbugs’ with antibiotic resistance. About 80% of the antibiotics produced are used in agriculture, largely for unnecessary reasons.
