  1. Absolutely wonderful! The camera coverage is unbelievable; it was possible to see all the runners throughout the race, and to discern their positions with none of the problems from telephoto shots that I’ve seen as part of race coverage in the past.
A two-length lead most of the way through the home stretch – that’s some horse!

  2. Thanks for posting this. I saw yesterday that this race was happening today and then forgot to check the results. Great race for CC!!

  3. Interesting that one of the people that commented on the video said “Look how much his tack had slipped!”
And sure enough when I watched the last bit again, the saddle had slid way back, whoa!

  4. Oh darn, just read the text above the video. It clearly states “slipping saddle”. Sorry folks.

  5. Re: CBC subsidies!!
Interesting to note that CBC.Ca ran a story today (March. 26, 2016) under the following headline. ”Unbalanced budget: Does it show ‘prudence’ or a ‘nightmare scenario’?”
Isn’t the headline asking a question? And wouldn’t a reader conclude that it would be OK to answer the question in the commets section? This was my reply that got deleted immediately.
”There is one word that describes the budget. Irresponsible!! Playing roulette with other people’s money is not economics, it’s irresponsible Justin!! Ever dollar of deficit we create today will cost $10.00 to repay in five years from now!”
Is this what they use their (our) 1.1 billion $ for?? To humiliate their subscribers??

  6. Washington (AFP) – More than 22,000 people have signed a petition calling for Americans to be allowed to carry firearms at the Republican National Convention — because the ban puts lives at risk.
Guns are not allowed inside the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, where the event — which could descend into a heated battle for the party presidential ticket — is taking place in July.
The main fear is that if the Republican Leadership pick another candidate, there will be 12 thousand holes in the Quicken Loans Arena roof and 5,000 holes in the speakers podium..

  7. I don’t think having guns at this event us such a good idea. Why are lives at risk if guns are disallowed? I think they are at far greater risk if every Tom Dickinson and Harry is carrying a gun.

“Experts could overrule ‘Boaty McBoatface’ name choice for polar ship”
“The name of a new polar research vessel will be chosen by a panel of experts, even if the public overwhelmingly votes to call it Boaty McBoatface.
Lord West, ex-First Sea Lord, said he was rather proud “silly names” had been suggested but hoped none were chosen.
The Natural Environment Research Council had urged people to name its ship in a competition, which saw Boaty McBoatface easily topping the poll.”

  9. And you keep going back?
Seems like a great opportunity for you.
Take CBC on and make them explain their deletions. Sue their Liberal butts!
    Start a nation-wide movement!
Or join my movement to have our National Symbol changed from one rodent, the beaver; to a more apropos one, the mouse.

  10. ‘Every dollar of deficit we create today will cost $10.00 to repay in five years from now”. I agree that this is a terrible budget but $10 for $1 in five years? I’d like to see your math on that. I seriously doubt it.

  11. I see where Fortune magazine has listed Trudeau as one of the world’s ‘greatest’ leaders. Mustn’t have had much material to work with. Kind of like Obama winning Nobel for what he was ‘going’ to accomplish. Sheeeesh…….

  12. “Terminal Depression”
“Then in the second half of the 20th century the Western cultural leaders largely concluded that not only was there no “other world”, only the present one. That present one was itself filthy and meaningless.”

“The truth must be told! All European life died in Auschwitz
    By Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez*
I walked down the street in Barcelona, and suddenly discovered a terrible truth – Europe died in Auschwitz.
We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, and talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.”

See age, gender graph it is second one down in the left column…it is a UN document…source, Hellenic Police (Greek National Police) ….by far, most of the migrants have been coming ashore in Greece
So these are good representative numbers. Notice the “males vs females” numbers. You can get past numbers too.

  14. CC is a great. Exactly what the horse industry needed and ‘I love the ponies’ as they say.
One of the greatest sporting spectacles of all time was a horse race. 1978 was the year Alydar and Affirmed were the contestants. Alydar was perhaps the greatest horse never to win a triple crown race.
The 1978 Belmont might have been the greatest race of them all. Check it out race lovers – if it doesn’t make your blood run – nothing will.

  15. Happy Resurrection Day SDA’ers!!
Good news in a world going mad.
    He is Risen…and alive!

  16. They set that stuff up. It is the same globalists giving Trudeau profile to convince us he is wonderful. This is exactly like giving Obama the Nobel Prize before he did anything. It’s a joke and anyone who does not see through the media manipulation is a fool.

  17. Here is a hilarious look at California’s “high-speed” rail project:
–San Francisco’s colorful former mayor Willie Brown caused a stir three years ago by writing some disturbing truths about major government infrastructure projects. The city’s Transbay Terminal project—billed as a future “Grand Central Station of the West”—was running $300 million over budget. Brown argued that no one should be shocked by such overruns, and that “we always knew” the estimate was artificially low. “In the world of civic projects, the first budget is really just a down payment,” he wrote. “If people knew the real cost from the start, nothing would ever be approved. The idea is to get going. Start digging a hole and make it so big, there’s no alternative to coming up with the money to fill it in.”–

  18. Bob: The problem with deficits is by the time that they start repaying the debt they create today, say in 5 years from now, they will have created more debt or deficit every year. It’s the way Trudeaus think. Much like going out to get new credit cards to pay for the old ones. The $10 is my estimate, pray that I’m wrong. And I do respect your opinion, I’ve read your letters in the Leader Post.

  19. Moderate Muslim gets his reward
    ————————–
LONDON — Scottish police say the killing of a Muslim shopkeeper who wished Christians a happy Easter is being investigated as “religiously prejudiced.”

Police say a 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with Shah’s death. The suspect, who police say is Muslim, has not been identified or charged.

  20. WRT deficits, the problem with running deficits when you don’t need to is what happens when you need to. Trudeau Sr simplified the whole thing by running deficits at all times, right through the greatest economic boom in our history and his $400b of debt plus interest to go with it. Justin has a long way to go, but he’s definitely up for the task. His government seems certain to reach a current deficit of $35b.
Kevin O’Leary weighs in, showing some good economic smarts, though I don’t share his thoughts on the prominence of the financial services industry:
“The federal budget’s overflowing with risk.”
“In recent times, Alberta was the source of over $200 billion in transfer payments to the rest of the country provided from taxes and royalties. Whether you like energy or not, it is the heartbeat of our economy. When the commodity cycle has a downturn, it slows our economic growth. Historically, the government steps in to provide support, getting paid back when the cycle reverses. Not this time. I kept flipping through the pages of the budget looking for the plan but to my amazement I could not find it. We are spending billions on lots of other untested ideas but virtually nothing on the number one sector of our economy.”
Instead Trudeau has decided that it’s time to abandon traditional energy as an economic driver and instead become the leader in new green technologies and carbon taxation. All in 36 months. Is this for bragging rights? This is a huge risk. Ontario has spent billions trying to do just that over the last decade. Ask any Ontario taxpayer how it is going, and you’ll find a legacy of debt and billions wasted. And now we want to do that federally? New idea: how about we keep our powder dry and wait for the commodity cycle to recover instead. We may need that cash when a real recession arrives.”

  21. Meanwhile, we must, we must end political satire. That’s what this is right?
“How the Liberals could balance the budget, if they have the will.” That’s like saying a food addict could stop eating, if they had the will.
“The confusion, I think, revolves around the use of the word ‘timeline.’ What if the Liberals do have a plan to balance the budget, but they’re just not sure when the plan will actually come to fruition? This would explain the use of the word ‘timeline,’ as well as the occasional mention of the possibility that the budget will be balanced in five years.”
Well, thanks for clearing that up for us. Here’s your dunce cap.
