These rescue organizations obviously feel they are superior to mother nature.
They have no idea what effects they will have by bypassing mother nature’s will on the sick and weak of any species.
They’re cute, but humans don’t get to make these decisions in the wild.

As expected someone is blaming this on global warming even though there is no El Nino warming cycle in the Pacific this year and the water temperature is down.

Perhaps Mother Nature, was trying to cull the population of sea lions without enough blubber to withstand the colder sea temps, leaving only those with the requisite characteristics to survive with enough food for them and their offspring to thrive in the changing conditions. Now that environMENTALists have stuck their hand in, the food source will have to be shared with sea lions that won’t be able to survive colder sea temps.
It would be a lot easier if everytime someone wanted to say “climate change,” they should just cut to the chase and say “taxation change.” It will clear up a lot of confusion.

Sea lions in general should be culled anyway. This is nature doing the culling.
I thought that one part of CA that was relinquished to the sea lions was so overrun with them and the stench of the feces and fish guts was so onerous that no one could even visit anymore (which funds their protection).
