In order to comply with the new Obama era EPA regs, American Electric Power, which supplies a major portion of the electricity used on the east coast, will be closing almost one quarter of their coal fired plants between now and next June. This is because they were economically unable to come into compliance with the new regulations in the impossibly short window of opportunity offered by the EPA. This is going to reduce the total surge capacity available for some of our most densely populated areas just when we may get hit with weather related demand spikes beyond anyone’s control.

While the US is shutting down power generators, it’s going to supply the EU with LNG while they boycot Russian supplied gas????
Would the EU be so stupid as to believe this was even remotely possible? This is not like shooting oneself in the foot but rather like shooting oneself in the head with both barrels.
Do you really believe that all the OIL/GAS is reported by a corrupt market? Do the math buddy, more “high Sea” exchanges take place every day that are not reported. The Chicago commodity futures are manipulated as a form of price control, when more wheat is reported on the market than actually exists, the price goes down. When the Oil/Gas is under reported, price goes up. We have excessive LNG that we can’t sell, or don’t want listed on the market.
Only fools believe in a true market price!

Ontario is already way ahead! We’ve shut down ALL coal fired generators. On the very coldest days, the wind doesn’t blow, so all that excess wind generation is useless. Then we have 8 nuclear generators being shut down in early spring for lengthy outages. The greenies are trying to drive up electricity prices to drive down demand. They are doing this by creating an artificial scarcity of supply…even while there should be a glut.

When massive energy shortages hit, it will not be the fault of the reduced production the EPA has mandated. No, according to the Narrative (all bow heads in reverent acquiescence)it shall be the result of Climate Change brought on by AGW. (All raise heads and hiss at the screen.)
