… linebreak in the linky there m’lady.
Ms.Hostess. Linky no worky….but why is this a surprise? The chimp-in-chief is a muzzie.
Based only on the text of the link, and assuming it accurate:
It’s ok that we ban all christiany things ’cause Christianity leaves the door open a wee bit for the ideas like individuality and self determination.
The expanding Islamic movment, however, is prefered as the hard-core Islamic world view is structured the same as progressivism: Top down rule of all aspects of human existence by the elite.
It’s hilarious to me that should the Islamic movment actually establish their world wide Caliphate, the next day they would behead all the progressives. Me too…..
The thing about these checked privileged white zealot lefties who are trying their hardest to be anti Christian is that the Islamists don’t care that they’re anti-christian lefties. When it comes time for the kidnappings, cattle whippings, jizya and stonings. They’ll be branded as Christian because they’re white and female and look Christian.
Try this link.
Clicking through to the source of that story, Stars & Stripes I think it is in Bahrain where those eating restrictions are being enforced. I only saw the headline of the story there though.
Thanks for the link,Ed.I’m too beat after darn night shift to do search (or lazy :))
I finally was able to read the story at Stars & Stripes and while it is just talking about the 8200 personel in Bahrain, some of it sounds crazy. This line for instance; Arabs are good hosts and may offer you food or refreshments during daylight hours. Such offers should be declined. Why if they’re offering?
And then this PC crap; Base cultural advisers have spent the last few weeks conducting Ramadan briefs to educate Americans about the holy month. Ali Hassan briefed about 150 personnel Tuesday about Islam, the lunar calendar and customs and traditions during Ramadan.
“It actually made me want to do a lot more research into the religion,” said Petty Officer 1st Class James Ramirez. He said the additional requirements during the month aren’t a big deal to him. “For such a small period of time, it’s a small sacrifice,” he said.
Other servicemembers echoed that sentiment.
So the excuse is to separate church from state but only if it’s Christian…
Well..First of all this is in Bahrain…not Elgin AF base in Texas….but and I say BUT..!! its a slippery slope from this point on.
Once the edit has come down, how long before this becomes the norm on US soil.??
Banning the Bibles is Pure PC Madness rearing its head once again. And in typical OBAMA fashion…Kissing Muslim (_i_).
Throughout our history in Canada and the US soldiers who fought and died defending what we have today went off to battle with the small Christian bibles issued to each and every one of them.
We should all be rising up against this PC BS to appease those who neither have the great freedoms we have or have any history with us. These would be the same people who are causing all the turmoil and atrocities around the world, peace is their claim, not their aim.
When Western leaders decide to sell our souls to people we cannot trust and show no signs of trying to earn it, we lose what we stand for, we stand for nothing.
Well said, both times.
Leftist are doing their best to destroy Christianity and have made common cause with Islam to accomplish this. Marx and Allah is their world, but ultimately Allah will do its best to destroy empty Marxism.
Of course the military encourages Satanism and Islam; they are looking for mindless killers that will butcher anyone without consciousness.
If a Liberal Leftist had any guts to join they of course would be pushed to the front of this murderous mob. If you don’t ask, they won’t tell.
Why would the U.S send military personnel to coutries that have zero respect for their persons or beliefs? That’s what bombers and missiles of for.
Separation of church and state is a specifically Christian idea. Jesus said: “Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s; unto God what is God’s”
Separation of church and state – there was never any such thing in the US until the courts made it up. There is a prohibition on a national state religion because the states had state religions. The rest of it is all crap judges pulled out of their asses.
Canada has no separation of church and state and a lot of stuff done in the supposed name of tolerance should be illegal. Allowing an individual the right to practice his religion doesn’t deny another from practicing his.
“Render unto Caesar……” This passage has no relevancy here, but it is much interpreted/misinterpreted. Separation of church and state is more one of democracy.Theocracies are not known for their toleration, it’s do or die.
“There is a prohibition on a national state religion because the states had state religions.”
No, that isn’t the reason. They were fleeing religious persecution in England from the state church. Non-conformist is still a dirty word in England.
Re-read Scar’s comment and I misread it as I think the intention was state church as in the Church of England which was a state church and as such carried too much political power and control over the individual. Could be Roman Catholic church as well which is why a Roman Catholic president was so feared.
“No, that isn’t the reason. They were fleeing religious persecution in England from the state church. Non-conformist is still a dirty word in England.”
And the non-conformists were quickly killing people for not conformimg to the non-conformists.
So Connecticut, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia never had state religions?? Funny how the history books got it wrong.
Note that in the “briefing notes” that:
Most restaurants will be closed except those in 4- and 5-star hotels.
This tells ya that Bahrain accommodates the big hotels but the Obamination is voluntarily ankle grabbing. Last time I checked Sheraton and Hilton don’t have nuclear weapons or main battle tanks.
Paul, what you say is certainly true. In addition, Islamists hate atheists more than they hate Christians. For Christians
and Jews, submission and juzya MAY stay the fury. For pagans, only death.
Without saying “I apologize” I did say I misread it. I was thinking of the earliest settlers who fled England because of religious persecution in the 1600s. Genealogical records have many of the original documents which is what I have read. I’ve never read anything that indicated that people weren’t allowed by the state to practice their religion freely. The idea is that the state cannot interfere in that practice, which is why there was diversity in all the states.
“Without saying “I apologize” I did say I misread it.”
I was preparing my reply when you posted.

Knight99 says, “Of course the military encourages Satanism and Islam; they are looking for mindless killers that will butcher anyone without consciousness.”
F*** you and the horse you rode in on. How many lives have you saved Knight? I’ve put in 24-hour days in awful conditions, alas not always successfully, searching for people. Some of those people stupidly put themselves in harm’s way but that made no difference. I’ve also been tracked by SAMs while in an unarmed aeroplane – have you ever put yourself in harm’s way doing your job, Knight?
On the subject of Ramadan, I’ve been in Turkey during that event. The restaurants kept a separate dining room for foreigners (the Turks are entrepreneurs). Even the Jewellery shops kept a stash of Pepsi for customers since the local tea boys couldn’t do their rounds.

Yea, whatever, PTSD?
“encourages” is not the same thing as saying “everyone”, so wring out your panties and relax a little.
I’ve spent my time in plenty of third world shitholes, you don’t need to whine to me about awful conditions, I’ve experienced them firsthand and have spent many a Ramadan in Muslim countries around the world.
To answer your silly question, yes I have put myself in harm’s way doing my job on several occasions with bullets flying and dead bodies resulting. It’s not an online bragging point for me.
There are plenty of records indicating the Military’s acceptance of Satanism, simply Google it, my position stands.

The American anti-Catholic is as smart as an American leftist and that is scraping the bottom of the intellectual barrel. America has and still does have a long history of anti-Catholic feeling, the nominally Catholic and ineffectual token president notwithstanding.
This is political correctness run amok. It’s one thing to warn soldiers of offending the native population; it’s quite another to give obeisance.
I wonder what Michael Coran would say with his new evolutionary view, about this.
Now that he’s sold out to evil in the name of love, I bet he sides with Muslims now too.
We should welcome his viewpoint as he evolves more.
try getting into the RC religious history. I dislike 3 religious sects, born agains,(they are bloody stupid) RCs, because many of them are intolerant, and JWs, offered to punch one or two of those suckers out.
and as to the comment about Muslims hating us atheists, that would only apply to the extremists. I have several Muslim friends who have no problem with the fact that I’m atheist
Bahrain Welcomes First Catholic Cathedral
The Persian Gulf island has had a Christian presence for over a century.
Bahrain, the small island country nestled between Qatar and Saudi Arabia in the Persian Gulf, will gain a Catholic cathedral, a step some see as an increased interest in Christianity in the heart of the Islamic world.
King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa donated land for the project recently — the only church he has done so for, Northern Arabia vicar Bishop Camillo Ballin told Real Clear Religion, though Bahrain’s cathedral is not the first church that the country’s rulers have supported.
“The king has a special appreciation for the Catholic Church,” he said.
Our Lady of Arabia will serve the 2.5 million Catholics in the Northern Arabian Peninsula with its $30 million, 2,600-seat cathedral and auxiliary buildings.
The new Catholic cathedral will join a handful of other faith communities in the midst of a predominately Muslim culture. In 2011 the country hosted 19 officially recognized churches, including the National Evangelical Church, which has served primarily an expatriate community of Christians since 1906. During negotiations and disputes over what was to become the National Evangelical Church’s campus, the ruler at the time—Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa—supported the project and sold the land himself, according to the church’s website.

In 2013, a command was issued remove biblical scripture verse references from military issued scopes.

Thank you for that.

And what do your Jewish friends think of your atheism?
BCer
What do good atheists do when they HAVE to follow Muslim practices? What do good atheists do when they HAVE to follow Christian practices?
If there is a difference – explain.
Don’t forget the JOOOOOOOS.
You’re just a regular old hater, aren’t you?
Your Muslims friends must love you.
Rizwan, I’m glad to see that there is a token place for Arab Catholics (assuming they haven’t all been killed) to worship.
