A series of emails disclosed this week indicate that officials at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) don’t particularly like conservative reporters and in at least one case told a scientist to lie in order to avoid answering questions.
The Daily Caller discovered this after being subject to one of the federal agency’s “freeze-outs.” The right-wing website was skeptical of a CDC study that purported to show obesity rates in 2- to 5-year-olds dropping by 43 percent, and of subsequent claims that First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! campaign played a role in the decline.
If obesity has dropped, it’s due to food inflation.

There is one thing that is not downsizing and remains pretty cheap…..Silver, bullets ,or casings,powder,slugs. If you are willing to drive an hour or 2 to church healthy areable land is still abundant. And in Canada we still have freshwater!!
Anyway that’s why I buy silver , I am earnig the rate of inflation on my metal, I know I can’t eat it but I can trade for food ,ammo, Ect Ect. I see us looking vastly different by 2025 things are getting bad really fast. Unfortunately a disproportionate amount of my portfolio is still in the stock market. But it’s really all I can do at this point.

Those of us who do our own preparation (that is, we don’t by the packaged, prepared foods) have seen this inflation coming like an overspeed freight train without breaks. The biggest change has been that from bulk pricing to unit pricing. Items that you used to buy on a weight basis are now sold as individual items, and the cost difference has been substantial. For example, bell peppers were running something like $.68 to $1.25 per pound, then suddenly went to the same price, but for each… put ’em on a scale, and you find the price tripled!
Prices on other basics have also been creeping up as well, but manufacturers had been holding back price increases on the prepared foods, since the ingredients are a relatively small portion of the cost. Now those other costs are starting to catch up, and we are going to see some serious inflation across the board for food prices.
Want to bet against the government changing the method of calculating the Cost of Living Index to (yet again) hide the real losses in consumer buying power? (No, didn’t think you’d want to take that bet).
The whole childhood obesity thing is subject to interpretation. This is a few years old but sure things haven’t changed.
