  1. They freely consented to be stooges.
re cartoon: That should be boys Cap’n Wafflesnarfer is bedding.

  2. Our glorious MSM, so proud of their oh so progressive Obama knee pads.
They really are proud of being major Obama program enablers.

  3. The cartoon is hilarious, it looks like an “Obama-Nation(tm)” press orgy; well they do slaver all over each other…brings back that Matthews ‘tingles up my leg’ comment.
Of course the “Emperor has no clothes” and neither do the press, truly piquant!

  4. Yes, having a water-carrying legacy media eliding and covering up scandals isn’t enough for the Dems, prominent members of whom criticize Fox for “bias” and for putting out putative “misinformation” — or, as the rest of us call it, “actual coverage”, or factual” information.”
This is interesting (saw the link at Instapundit): Although the FCC is apparently backing off now – or, at least, is “reviewing the proposed research design to determine if an alternative approach is merited”,

Last May the FCC proposed an initiative to thrust the federal government into newsrooms across the country. With its “Multi-Market Study of Critical Information Needs,” or CIN, the agency plans to send researchers to grill reporters, editors and station owners about how they decide which stories to run. A field test in Columbia, S.C., is scheduled to begin this spring….

    Yet more banana republic behaviour.

  5. You got it! Candy Crowley should have been F-I-R-E-D. CNN has been going down ever since.

In a related story Canada press freedom is A-OK…but of course that doesn’t fit with the “Harper as Dictator” meme.
Curiously, China and Cuba who have the worst record of press freedom are the countries that the True-“Dope”ian clan have a longing admiration for…

  8. The Left told me that if Glenn Reynolds voted for Mitt Romney the president would end up with multiple wives and they were right!

  9. When you google Reporters Without Borders you’ll be surprised to learn that it isn’t a leftie swamp like Doctors without Borders. RWB have been sharply critical of hell holes like Cuba.

  10. Cartoons have always been the leading edge of press free expression in political matters – this one is starkly true – although I really question if the partisan annexation of the American media is a laughing matter.

  11. “MSNBC is owned by NBC”.
Yeah, but it’s handling of the news is quite different from NBC, so it’s generally considered a separeate news entity.
