And about 10 years ago or so the British Met Office said that snow would be thing of past in Britain about now too. I don’t feel like looking it up (even at Tim Blair’s newspaper blog) but I seem to recall Aussie Suzuki, Tim Flannery, giving a date for when all the Australian coast would be under 50 metres(!!!) of new seawater too. It’s lucky everyone died in 1990 when the 1970’s prediction of running out of food, oil and water were supposed to wreak havoc on the world were made.

I highly recommend the Stanfield’s double layered long underwear with the inner layer being merino wool, it’s very warm, they last reasonably long, and they wash in a regular manner without shrinkage even with the wool content.
A couple of weeks ago, Sears had them at 40 or 50% off. A bargain.
I live on the north shore of Lake Ontario. Right now, its -12, last night it was -15. It was like this all last week. That might not sound cold to the prairie boys and guys from the north, but it is rarely this cold here and it has never been this cold before mid January or February. I feel really ripped of. I want my global warming!!!
