  1. Not shelved, just moved the meeting to monday. Drudge, Bourque and most international sites are now carrying the story. Nothing on CTV or CBC. Surprise surprise.

  2. Dear Neo, I shall retell an eyewitness account from a man who survived Stalin’s Famine in the Eukraine. He said the Communists kept coming every day, demanding money until it was all gone. Then they took all the farm animals and equipment to farm, then they emptied out the granaries, he said they did this every day until at the end just he and his family, mother, father and siblings were standing in the farm yard with the clothes on their backs and winter coming. He said they went to the village, and the Communists came everyday and searched their property and bodies for anything they could find. He said they finally walked off into the forests, and built a mud and waddle hovel because winter was fast approaching. They gleaned the fields and forests for scraps of food. The old ones died first. Moral of the story. They were all unarmed. If they had been armed when the state send their agents it might have been a different story. Yes many would have died, but by not resisting millions died anyway. The same with the Jews in Germany, they were unarmed and did not resist. At least on the land you could feed yourself and family. When they come to drive you out you no longer have anything to lose.

  3. Einstein said doing the same thing again and again, expecting a different result is insanity…..well a lot of us keep buying lottery tickets….
In principle this is not new for europe. Here we get taxed on the interest we earn on our bank accounts…frequently in europe they tax your balance/principle. This is why the concept of “black money” is so common among our immigrants from the Netherlands. And why British castles/manors/estates are sold. Envy…….

  4. Buying land as a means of wealth preservation looks good but remember that in Canada we have no property rights. Dog food [dry] actualy works. The Rhodesian SAS used to use dog biscuits for combat rations. Physical gold and silver can still be bought without any paper trail and people who say otherwise obviously are not buying any.

  5. Define ‘rendered’.
An ingredient which is chemically contaminated is not safe to eat after it simply heated and ‘rendered’ into a slurry.
Rendering may kill bacteria, but it will not make safe chemical contamination nor will it remove the poisons that the bacterial culture produced as a community within the food material.
Prions need such high temperatures to kill them that the food material would be vapourized or turned to ash.
Yes, some pet foods have ash in them, but why do pets need to eat ash and you do not?(begs the question of any prions not reduced to ash)
I feed my dogs food which I myself eat. The dog food industry in Canada is 100% unregulated.
I hope you understand what ‘unreguated’ means.

  6. Dave: you are absolutely correct. If I divested myself of my physical gold & silver tomorrow I would probably make a capital gain of close to $40K,,,,no records exist of purchase, and none would relate to sale.
Now I am not doing that, because I bought the stuff as a hedge, not as an investment. But I wonder how long it is going to take for RevCan to plug the loophole…

  7. RFB: Your recollection closely resembles that of my Dad’s family. As pacifist Mennonites they faced blatant property theft by the Bolsheviks. They fled Orenburg, Russia in 1926 with only enough money to bribe officials and buy rail and boat passage to Canada.
I was always curious about what really happened, but all of my aunts and uncles refused to talk about their ordeal.
A form of PTSD, I suspect. Sadly, all took their stories to the grave with them.
