It is the left’s Weltanschauung that everyone who does not agree with their view at any given time must be destroyed. It was the same in Stalin’s world when the official lines changed frequently and those who were asleep and did not get with the new program quickly enough were destroyed.
The left never sleeps.
But lefties knew Obama was lying, so that makes it okay.
What this issue has done is to give Chick Fil A a degree of exposure they would never have been able to afford if they paid for the advertising out of their own pocket. From a restaurant chain that most people had never heard of, it’s now gone to a place where people who believe in free speech are much more likely to have a meal if they happen to be driving past one.
As Ken Kulak noted, there are disturbing similarities between the official Soviet statist viewpoint on things that would result in people being executed if they were too slow to sign onto the new doctrine once it had officially changed. We’re not there yet, but I’m sure US statists would love to have Stalin’s powers. Also, with the evanescent nature of information today, all one has to do is change a few sentences on official web sites and threaten people who have obsolete news with imprisonment. I’m sure that M$ could help with a windoze service that would monitor whether or not saved web pages were mirroring the official party line.
What I can’t understand is why queers would want to get married? This is a population where a relationship lasting more than a week is long term and the level of promiscuity is such that there would be a level of adultery close to 100% in less than a year of marriage. Presumably the term “adultery” would be struck from the legal lexicon once queer marriage was state policy.
The only group that benefits from queer marriage are divorce lawyers who are probably salivating at the immense amount of money they’ll be able to make from unstable unions that are now subject to spousal support and division of assets provisions.
B. Hussien will say anything to the crowd of the day (Saddleback Church for example) knowing fully that those words had a shelf life that expired on his election day.
All lies, all the time. “Disinformation” Anyone that has read of the Soviet lies of the day has heard all of it already.
Lies, and more lies.
There is nothing President Not My Fault won’t say do or even think to get re-elected. He is cravenness.
I like gay marriage and dismiss it’s opponents as fossils out of the fossil bed but this Chick-Fil-A business was the most petty disproportionate freak out since the ‘bath salts’ scare.
“The only group that benefits from queer marriage are divorce lawyers who are probably salivating at the immense amount of money they’ll be able to make from unstable unions that are now subject to spousal support and division of assets provisions“.Loki.
Never thought of it in quite that way. And it seems to me that those in the forefront of pushing the agenda are up in the higher echilons of wealth/society.
So, blow your plenty for the cause. Matters not to me if it’s lawyers or the agrieved benefitting.
In both cases…it cost you! Hope you’re happy!
Loki: yo the man!!
To say nothing about the kids brought up in these same-sex farces. What happens to them when the happy couple parts ways?
More heartache…..like we need that.

Don’t forget that a pretty boy golddigger who can convince his “daddy” to “marry” him can use that to fiddle “daddy’s” rightful heirs—namely the wife and children he betrayed—out of their inheritance. Sodomite “marriages” collapse at a much higher rate than real ones, yes. Greed keeps a surprising number together.
By contrast the rate at which sapphite “marriages” collapse really is astronomical. Once the thrill of lust wears off, the typical Canadian sapphite, an incurable hysteric whose detachment from reality has made her unemployable except in a make-work government job, rarely has enough worldly goods to make it worth another woman’s while putting up with her madness.
Don’t waste time or effort on gay marriage — it’s a diversionary tactic. The left will throw out a couple of issues like this so that the real issues — Obama’s extreme leftist background and his dismal record as President — are less likely to be analyzed and exposed.
If the state wishes to marry gay couples, so that they can get a tax deduction for their spouses like straight couples, why oppose it? As long as religious organizations retain the right to choose to perform them or not — which is their right, as private entities — there isn’t an issue worth fighting over.
Challenge yourself to imagine the consequences to any or all of us, if God exists and if God is opposed to same sex marriage. But even in the alternative, can we be sure that this new social arrangement (raising kids in a gay environment) is anything but a ticking time bomb of large-scale psychological and sociological chaos?
I am convinced that the former is true and in large part because the latter is also true.
I dont believe Christians should be able to marry either, you know more Christians get divorce than non-christians? Also children are brought up without being able to think for themselves or to think rationally, think of the psychological trauma as the kid grows up believing in fairy tales.
So no marriage for Christians.
“…The scariest lesson here is that small dictators lurk inside far too many Democrats.”
And he is only discovering this now!!?? and it should read…” The scariest lesson here is that absolute dictators lurk inside most Democrats, especially the current cabal in the White House”.
Marriage is such a good thing that government should force gays into it…
To all those who believe that there are no negative impacts on children raised in same-sex marriages, I give you the story of one Robert Oscar Lopez (who was raised by two mommies)–he makes some salient points about socialization and his lack of understanding with respect to “normal” social cues those of us raised in heterosexual unions take for granted.

Lets get right to the heart of the matter.
When a child misbehaves, in the situation where the guardian is not the biological parent, the child will question the legitimacy of the guardian with one simple response….
“your not my mom/dad”
Biology trumps the legal fiction called ssm.

@Meowman – your assertion is quantifiably false. http://www.usatoday.com/news/religion/2011-03-14-divorce-christians_N.htm
As for the whole Chick-fil-a thing…
I agree with Ken Kulak. Totalitarianism often lurks beneath the surface of political left because the main political philosophies of the left (Marxism, Communism) are predicated on the suppression of individualism and loyalty to the collective. This necessitates uniformity of purpose and thought. Divergence from the predetermined collective line is a threat to the “universal harmony” created and maintained by the State, which is considered the highest and greatest and purest and best power, and therefore must be eliminated.
The truth is leftist politics are anti-human and anti-freedom. No two humans are alike. We are each unique and have inherent God-given rights to free thought, speech and association.
nv53 has hit it on the head. All issues like gay marriage are is a diversion from the the important issues like the economy. Let’s use the Alberta provincial election as an example. Redford was getting creamed over the economy and the corruption issues until they starting playing the “tolerance” card by bringing up a couple of things Wildrose candidates said. Most of the electorate isn’t smart enough to understand what is said on important issues like the economy but everyone has emotions and the left knows to invoke those emotions. It seems to work every time. This is the same thing Obama will do especially being black and can easily play the race card because he certainly can’t run on his record.
Just a friendly reminder to 0Bama’s media acolytes. There is a war going on in Afghanistan. LBJ was frequently pilloried about ‘Nam. How come none of the media folks are asking pointed questions about the AfPak war?
When Bush was president the Iraq war was invariably referred to as ‘increasingly unpopular’. No such appendages are employed for the Afghanistan war. Why? And what about the grim milestones?
How come none of the media folks are asking pointed questions about the AfPak war?
The MSM isn’t reporting it much but Afghanistan is rapidly drawing down. By year’s end U.S. troop presense(including trainers and advisors) will have been reduced by 1/3 from it’s high at the beginning of 2012.
What more can be said other than to report ‘green-on-blue’ attacks like the one in which 3 U.S. soldiers were killed today by an Afghan soldier?

Couldn’t agree more,”catbird”.
Obama certainly can’t run on substance,so his campaign has no choice but to create crises, which only HE can solve.
The Toronto Red Star, predictably, printed a rapturous article about a Muslim man whose chicken restaurant was mistaken for Chik-fil-A, complete with the man’s self-righteous posturing that he welcomes all to his store and Chik-fil-A’s boss needs to “shut up.”
Is same-sex marriage halal for Muslims? Somehow I don’t think so. What would this man’s Imam have to say on the subject? Is the Star curious at all?
leave gay-marriage to the lawyers,it’ll be fixed in no time:-))))
Man, this whole gay marriage issue can be summed up as this: “HEY MORONS!!! LOOK AT THIS SHINY THING!”
The only good thing to come out of this was the show of overwhelming force by the Normal People and the abject failure by the Dems and their pet freak show. The Republican Party has been a joke through this whole thing, they should all commit seppuku to avoid the shame.
Meowman – are you speaking in absolute numbers or as a percentage of Christian marriages. As far as I am concerned, the state only gave the necessary legal status to our relationship: our marriage was a giving of vows to and from each other, before God, and in front of our friends and families.
It is a sad reality that too many marriages fail. However, the rate of failure differs among populations. It can be said that many Christian marriages fail: how many of them were marriages performed in a church (for whatever reason) between two persons who were only nominally Christian? A church is a much more attractive venue than a registrar’s office or the equivalent.
