Why a gunrunning scandal codenamed “Fast and Furious,” a program run secretly by the U.S. government that sent thousands of firearms over an international border and directly into the hands of criminals, hasn’t been pursued by an army of reporters all trying to be the next Bob Woodward or Carl Bernstein is a story in itself.
But the state of modern journalism aside, this scandal is so inflammatory few realize that official records show the current director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), B. Todd Jones — yes the individual the Obama administration brought in to replace ATF Director Kenneth Melson Aug. 30 in an effort to deflect congressional criticism — also has questions to answer about his involvement in this gunrunning scandal.

Gunrunning ‘thousands of weapons’…hells bells sounds like these clowns wanted to achieve a Mexican standoff.
Next we’ll be reading they sent tanks, rocket launchers, RPGs, shoulder launched missiles, etc.

‘ATF Special Agent Olindo James Casa also said at the June hearing that “on several occasions I personally requested to interdict or seize firearms, but I was always ordered to stand down and not to seize the firearms.”’
This is of course a natural way to get “Fast and Furious”, but unfortunately the “Obama-Nation(tm) can’t shoot straight.
It is plainly obvious that the feds higher up plan was to use “Fast and Furious” as a future bogus reason to cut down 2nd Amendment rights.
The only arms regulation needed is for the feds to get the hell out of the gunrunning business.
How about a firing squad and a last cigarette for these hapless wonders…?

Or maybe the goal was to give the Mex drug cartel the guns and they were expected to act as a cutout for the Obama regime to arm La Raza with them.
In large bureaucratic organizations it is fairly common to fire the figurehead
boss and then promote the real perpetrator of the scandal into the top job.
Then you have someone in charge with a real incentive to suppress the facts.
If it works, it’s cheers all round, if it doesn’t, there’s always the war of attrition
option financed as usual by the taxpayer or shareholders.
There was also “gangwalker” where the same type of operation gave guns to gang members in Indiana. Starting to get a bit north of the mexican border. Would it be surprising if guns ended up in Canada?
And I thought the “Fast and The Furious” was a cheesy movie about guys that no nothing about tuning cars. All 5 of them.
Turns out it’s all about people that no nothing about the fact that stupid, coke addled people with assault rifles tend to shoot everything in sight.

From the Washington agenda, this serves some purposes:
– Gives those anti illegal immigrant red border states a good whipping.
– Reinforces the purpose of the war on drugs in peoples minds which has been waning; being Libertarian ideals are rising in popularity. Ron Paul, Johnston, Sarah Palin all have varying degrees of doubt on the purpose and effect of the war on drugs.
A literal industry of government workers rely on the war on drugs for their livelyhood: Police, lawyers, prison guards, social workers etc…
It’s all “jobs” to protect after all.
Big Government is the true enemy.
Obama said in a speech that most of the Mexican criminals’ guns came from the US, but they don’t, they come from the Mexican police and military, so he had to ‘make it so’.
Trivia: Just before the birth of Israel, possession of firearms was a capital offense in British-administered Palestine. Everyone tooled up anyway.
Oh, they’re deflecting alright. Though they haven’t had much to deflect, mind you, given the effort by media neo-libs to turn a blind eye to anything that could possibly cast negative light on the reign of the Obamessiah.
Take a helping of Fast&Furious, add a handful of Solyndra and you’ve got a better case for impeachment than Monica’s blue dress. Which was a slam dunk.
That right there tells you the US federal government is bent, right from the top to the bottom, and America has bigger problems than they even know.

The lefty liberal media will never take Obama down for this or any other fiasco,you have a similar situation in Ontario with McGuinty and the gong show he has made of Caledonia.He and Fantino should both be held accountable for allowing the laws of the land to be openly flaunted and these actions supported by the OPP.Why Tim Hudak has never mentioned this during the election defies common sense.

Personally I think if guns did come into Canada from this or any operation similar to this, the individuals responsible should be charged under the Canadian Criminal Code. I realize it may be symbolic BUT it is our sovereign right to protect our borders and the citizens within them.

The prospect of “The Won” resigning is NIL. The only route to remove this US regime is public rejection informed by an impartial media or formal impeachment by Congress. Neither is possible, currently, because both the media and the Senate are firmly in control of the DemocRATs.
The necessary first step is for Congress to appoint a “Special Prosecutor” which the DemocRAT Senate majority has ruled out. Currently the DoJ has successfully defied Congressional subpoenas for testimony and documents.
The reality is that even with the appointment of a “Special Prosecutor” the 2012 Election will be long over before the process could transpire…there simply is not enough time.
Meanwhile, trial by internet continues, informing the public more and more….with some grudging disclosure a few of the MSM…
Predictably this will be a red-hot election issue, coupled with the emerging “crony capitalism” scandal of Solyndra et al.
However, the DemocRATs have exhibited a desperate intent to resort all means fair or foul to stay in power….even political violence and blatant election fraud….
