Just like the illegal drugs they smoke and snort, when you have gun bans only the law abiding citizens do not have them. Don’t forget that the “Bad guy” who sparked this all off had a gun and shot a police officer. Guns are rife as an underground industry in the UK, if you want one you can easily get one. That is why it’s ludicrous to try and legislate firearm ownership away from law abiding citizens. Look at Mexico’s example for starters, draconian gun laws as well.

That said the population of our inner cities are predominately immigrants so that anyone watching footage could well deduct that they are race riots.
What your guilty of, as is most of the UK population is not watching the big picture, this is a complex situation but was and has been easily predictable, long time readers here will not be and probably aren’t surprised.
What Kate has suggested is probably the only option left now, this morning the police have had to accept that they lost control of the streets, this is the third night and the police no longer have the reserves left Last night London police had 6000 police on the streets. Last night Birmingham, Bristol, Leicester, Nottingham and I forget where else erupted not that its any longer relevant.
Long term there is no cure that can be effected by the present pygmies the political class here is largely irrelevant. There are no principled ones left.

One of the problems here is getting these numpties off the street. Even if they get arrested then the courts do nothing to them and they’re out on the streets feeling invincible. So far, out of the 6 videos I’ve watched, 5 show mostly whites, with the odd bits of black and brown scattered in. The only way you could possibly come to the conclusion that these riots are based on race is if you’re blind or racist.

This is so true. I could never understand how a government or a person could be so two-faced. To say “Everybody is equal regardless of colour” out of one mouth and “Affirmative action is required to help out minorities” out the other is insane.
Colour is either irrelivant and we can all apply for the same jobs, or colour matters and a colour will be chosen to fill a job before anyone even applies. You cannot have it both ways.

What your guilty of, as is most of the UK population is not watching the big picture, this is a complex situation but was and has been easily predictable, long time readers here will not be and probably aren’t surprised.
What Kate has suggested is probably the only option left now, this morning the police have had to accept that they lost control of the streets, this is the third night and the police no longer have the reserves left Last night London police had 6000 police on the streets. Last night Birmingham, Bristol, Leicester, Nottingham and I forget where else erupted not that its any longer relevant.
Long term there is no cure that can be effected by the present pygmies the political class here is largely irrelevant. There are no principled ones left.
Anyone worth their effort long since left the UK, shed no tears.

Before this rioting broke Sunday I commented here that the Horsemen of the Apocalypse where away from the starting pole,
seems they are clearing those hurdles with ease and way down the back straight.
I envisaged this as a result of the financial system collapse maybe in a couple of weeks. This may just be the pre-curser.
Kate sending in the army? That is the principle behind, bottom up, top down, then inside out. That’s what they did in the Czech Republic. The manufactured disruption so that the people begged for the government to do “something” and then military law descended. It wasn’t until the fall of communism that documents revealed they had manufactured the riots.

One of the problems here is getting these numpties off the street. Even if they get arrested then the courts do nothing to them and they’re out on the streets feeling invincible. These are not race riots, they are idle yobs seeing the chance of mayhem and looting while the police stand around and do nothing.
You may remember wheelchair boy, Jody McIntyre, who complained of police brutality in the student demo when they wheeled him out of the way, strangely enough he’s been trying to stir up things here by demanding (via twitter) that people get out on the streets provoking the response from one person:

Here in Nottingham I understand that about 40 youths from St Anns tried to riot (from about 20,000 living in the area) but didn’t get far. If the ringleaders were put away for twenty years or so I don’t think most of us would be too concerned about Human Rights.

So far, out of the 6 videos I’ve watched, 5 show mostly whites, with the odd bits of black and brown scattered in. The only way you could possibly come to the conclusion that these riots are based on race is if you’re blind or racist.

This is so true. I could never understand how a government or a person could be so two-faced. To say “Everybody is equal regardless of colour” out of one mouth and “Affirmative action is required to help out minorities” out the other is insane.
Colour is either irrelivant and we can all apply for the same jobs, or colour matters and a colour will be chosen to fill a job before anyone even applies. You cannot have it both ways.
Anyone pointing out someone’s skin colour is, well.. pointing out someone’s skin colour.. Isn’t that racism?
Isn’t it wretched that Obama is known as the 1st black president? Was GW Bush known as the 43rd white president? Was Zachary Taylor the 12th white president? George Washington the 1st white president?
Is it more important that Obozo is a black american (supposedly an irrelivant number) or a president (44th of 44 – in so many ways…) Isn’t it racism to call him that?
Ugh sorry for my o/t rant, but I really think this paradox needs to be explored.
Actually, I was thinking more of the traditional “send in army, shoot all looters” solution. These people have no fear. They should.
