2. Ya think maybe if they had spent some of the hundreds of billions of dollars aimed at stopping global warming on buying snow removal equipment and getting proper de-icing facilities they might be able to keep their airports open?
   Or maybe they didn’t buy enough carbon credits, pray hard enough to Gaia or offered up to few virgin sacrifices to the Mayan Moon God when they were in Cancun ?

3. Every scheming project that predicts global warming receives oodles of government funding. It is poetic justice that a small amount of cold cause major disruption to those ill-prepared. Will the sheep wake up?

   How much “green ” is OK, balanced against a potentially hugely beneficial electricity-using runway safety feature that might prevent an airliner crash, with hundreds of dead? Using that logic, they could turn off all those runway and flightline lights, too, and be even more “Green”.
   “Green” has become for far too many in the West a pointless neurotic obsession, an Obsessive-Compulsive mental illness.

9. This morning here in Vancouver, the first segment (beginning @ 6:00) of a weekly political discussion was devoted to Global Warming or the lack thereof. In it you’ll hear ultra-lefty Monty Paulsen talking with Norman Spector and Michael Campbell about “Climate Change”. Paulsen speaks with such authority and smugness that what’s going on in Europe now “fits exactly in to what was predicted”. It’s beyond amazing how easily Leftards like this drip can lie and so conveniently forget the past, even the recent past. Shameful.

11. I once spent a couple of hours at Dorval/Montreal in a raging snow storm watchign the snow clearing gear & crew work at full speed.
    Very impressive.
    LAndings were delayed 15min at most, there were DOZENS of airplanes stacked up on the pads because just about every other airpoint onthe southern side of the east coast was blocked by snow.
