… promoted its storylines as “ripped from the headlines,” but the show’s hate-on towards social conservatives was actually sourced from liberal op-ed pages, where paranoid (and inaccurate) predictions about “Tea Party violence” and ever-looming “Christian theocracies” have enjoyed an equally long run.
True, but the Fred Thompson episodes made up for it. And the death penalty!
It’s Criminal Intent that was ruined for me. I can’t get through an episode without seeing Vincent D’Onofrio curled up in a fetal position, crying out for John Kerry.

Some L&O Canadian scriptwriter was interviewed on a local talk show last year.
Watched one episode of the Brit version when it started, a real PC stinkeroo.
The first few years of the original show were decent on the police side but I never got very enthusiastic about lawyers saving the world in the last half hour.
Once the shampoo and makeup commercials moved in and daytime soaps started getting canceled years ago, you knew things were going to hell.
Good it’s being put out of its misery.
Or D’Onofrio shouting, “WHERE DO YOU KEEP YOUR DEAD?”
Stopped watching L&O after Moriarty left.
I usually enjoyed the Law & Order franchise. But yeah, whenever they spun out on a anti conservative tangent it would be channel changin’ time.
It does look like it’s circling the drain tho – the original is in it’s last season. We’ll see how SUV fares now that they have Sharon Stone on…
The two major problems I have with Law and Order:
1) Its scripted by New York leftist freaks, and
2) Its television. Television sucks air.
Other than that, I’m sure its crap in many other ways as well. ~:D
Law and Order
Biggest non-stop anti-White,Anti-right,anti-Christian,and anti-western TV series ever made.
Agree with Mr. G.
SVU caused me to stop watching L&O about 4-5 years ago. There was hardly an episode of SVU that wasn’t anti-white, -right, -male and -Christian.
Back in the day when Michael Moriarty, Jerry Orbach, Fred Thompson, Stephen Hill and Angie Harmon were involved the plot lines were somehow not so twisted towards the demonization of anything mainstream, it had very good ratings.. Now it’s become just another lefty propaganda fest and it’s failing. Funny that.
I haven’t watched TV for 25 years. Looks like I’m not missing much.
Is it just the original that’s being put out of its misery, or the spin-offs too? Also: Law & Order is still on the air? Really!?
Agree with Mr. G. I rarely watch more than 15 minutes of any these shows and that only while taking a break from FoxNews. NCIS and CSI New York with Gary Senise still seem to have some decent programming.
Liked “Homicide-Life On The Street” much better. I guess Baltimore wasn’t as glamorous as New York, but I do miss that show.
The show was horribly liberal and unoriginal. Jerry Orbach made the show watchable (God rest his acerbic soul).
Was never the same after Lenny left. drink doink.
NCIS for me, lost interest a few yrs ago in L&O Must admit though i have watched a few episodes if L&O UK not bad kinda weird seeing the dude from Coronation Street playing the Cop.
**Off Topic But have to add this
“Jersey Boys”- If you have a chance to see this stage show Go!
Oh What a Night, fast moving, touching in parts, comedy & the Music is Fantastic You swear its the real band,Its the story of Franki Valie & the 4 seasons things you did not know are revealed.
We went on Sunday to Toranta to see it, & Plan to try & see it again before it closes.
Never liked the show. Each week I bypassed it while searching for something good to watch. You would see some agonized contortions of a liberal gone mad. Ranting away his pain, while the rest of the cast plotted murder. Being subjected to this irrational emotional fart, every working day. Its them I pity. I figure by now they mostly are praying from being delivered from a social hell.

Bill O’Reilly on the consummate Dick Wolf:

“Of course, the real fight here isn’t loudmouthed conservative radio personalities versus liberal television writers.
How many O’Reilly viewers get that?”
“watched a few episodes if L&O UK”
Every episode I’ve seen is a script from the early years of L&O so I already know whodunnit. Kinda takes the mystery out of things.
The early years of L&O were good. The Order guys won most of the cases and there was usually an oddball legal twist. And count me as another who adored Lenny Briscoe.
I read some of the episode summaries for L&O:UK and recognized some of the plots, too.
I did like the episode from early 2009 where one of the potential Senate nominees (to fill Hillary’s seat) killed someone to get the Governor’s wife a seat on some charitable board.
