I can’t disagree with the suggestions made here but I seriously think that Preston Manning should be considered. A great patriot, and arguably the most knowledgeable former politician Canada has had…..ever.

Got all the time in the world for Clarkson actually. The PPCLI did not make her the Colonel in Chief of the Regiment to be politically correct. They did it because she stood up for them. That, her speech at the internment of The Unknown Soldier and her Christmas’ and New Years spent overseas with the troops instead of hosting parties. Yup all the time in the world for her.

Actually, I really do think Black is just the right kind of person for this job (he is already a Knight or something isn’t he?), but I guess he is not likely to get picked.
