  9. Michael Coren interviewed Nick Bergamini(the young man involved in the alleged machete attack)on his show last night and Nick revealed the same thing happened to him. The CBC wanted the ‘other side’ for balance. Unbelievable!

If the story can be spun with an anti-CPC or left wing slant, CBC usually can be relied on to say something like “we contacted the [other side] but they refused to appear.” That then gives them licence to air a slanted, one-sided rant with the host and the speaker(s) taking turns Tory bashing.
    After the event, we often learn that the CBC had placed unreasonable conditions on the conservative spokesperson, like wearing a clown suit or holding a sign reading “Dick Cheney for Governor General” or “I hate poor people.”

    The book A God Who Hates: The Courageous Woman Who Inflamed the Muslim World Speaks Out Against the Evils of Islam was written by Wafa Sultan, a Syrian-American ex-Muslim.
    Breaking with Islam takes tremendous courage, as the traditional death penalty for leaving Islam is still upheld today. The only good byproduct of Muslim immigration to the West is that it has allowed a handful of such former Muslims to publish their thoughts about leaving Islam.
    One of these titles is Leaving Islam: Apostates Speak Out, edited by Ibn Warraq. Another is Understanding Muhammad by the Iranian ex-Muslim Ali Sina, the founder of Faith Freedom International. I have reviewed his book at Jihad Watch previously.
    In her writing, Wafa Sultan draws extensively on her own personal experiences as well as those of friends and others in her society, especially the women, who suffer from an appalling level of brutality and repression. She manages in a very convincing manner to tie many of these problems directly to Islamic teachings, all the way back to Muhammad, his wives and companions. Far from representing a “perversion” of Islam, she shows us that the repression and violence that is endemic in Islamic societies represent the true essence of Islam.
    In sharp contrast to the self-proclaimed “reformist” Irshad Manji, whose knowledge of Islamic doctrines is quite limited, Sultan shows us how Islam was born in the Arabian desert and is still shaped by this 1400 years later. The raids Muhammad and his companions carried out in his lifetime – which amounted to at least twenty-seven if you believe Islamic sources – occupy a major part of his biography. They were intended to acquire booty, but also to inflict physical and mental harm upon rival tribes in order to deprive them of their ability to resist.

    Correct me if I’m wrong, but my understanding is the CBC Ombudsman is an internal advocate for DEFENDING the CBC. It’s not for bringing public complaints against the CBC. I don’t believe any of the publicly-funded Left institutions in Canada have mechanisms for complaints because they are unnecessary — any Canadian with half a brain knowns that our “Nouveau Aryan” progressive class reached “Super-Race” perfection at least a generation ago!
    In a related matter, the CBC in its infinite and omnipotent wisdom has finally found proof that the Harper government knew about torture — it was last night’s news headline. They discovered a “Secret Memo” where the Harper government refers to “former KGB Soviet trained torturers” among Afghan intelligence cadres. And in its infallible journalistic honesty, the CBC was careful not to mention how the CBC vehemently opposed the U.S. backed Afghan insurrection against the brutal Soviets back in the ’80’s.
    Hmm…former CBC Soviet comrades still carrying out torture in Afghanistan and Harper found out about it — so Harper must be to blame for the torture. The CBC logic is so “Aryan” super-race genious and above the intelligence of my peon-like brain, that I simply fail to grasp it. But being a retard, I at least have a right to my simpleton opinion: Maybe the CBC is pissed that Harper finally found out who is really responsible for the torture in Afghanistan? The Commie Left and their propagandists in the Left Media. But what do I know — I’m just a retard…

  35. So a Machete attack is not a criminal story , it is a political issue. Not really surprising…it is the CBC. Sadly, the crack team of journalists probably can flip through their rolodex and find an expert prof who will rationalize this situation. I an sure that racism and lack of sufficient immigration funding is the root cause. Maybe if taxpayers built some mosques these youths would be so inspired by the religion of peace that they will become tolerant and calm.

The phrase “Israeli Apartheid” was first coined by a coalition of Left activists, Neo-Nazis, and Islamic radicals who held the first anti-semitic conference in South Africa a few months preceding the 9/11 attacks. Unfortunately, the historical significance of that event was overshadowed by 9/11 itself.
    And if we go back further, the fact is the former Soviets supplied arms and training to the PLO going back 40 years, and extended their support to all of the nascent anti-semitic and radical Islam groups that have come to prominence today. The purpose was to ultimately control and subjugate the Middle East for the purposes of atheistic Communism.
    It blew up in the Soviets’ face in Afghanistan, and now the entire world is paying the price for the rise of radical Islam even though the Soviets are long gone. The Commie Left in the West needs to finally fess up and publicly repent for their historic responsibility for the mess instead of trying to placate the monster thay created and blame the rest of us. The CBC needs to repent.

  43. ricardo, I’m just in the process of reading “Vengence” by George Jonas. An look into the world of terrorist groups in Europe and the middle East. Mostly funded by the KGB, there were hundreds of organizations that were just given free reign to, well terrorize, the West. Communist China was involved to a lesser extent. Still going on today. Just different and many more supporters.

    And if you go back far enough, surprise surpise, even Castro’s Cuba was involved. The first International Islamic Conference took place in Cuba in the late ’60’s (c.1968) and that’s where we saw the first political alliances forged between radical Islam and the Latin American revolutions (genuinely pious Muslims would not chose an officially atheistic State of “infidels” such as Cuba if the conference was for religious purposes). Those alliances are coming to fruition today with Chavez and the Bolivarian revolution and his ties to Ajmadinajad, the imposition of Sharia law in Iranian funded hospitals in Morales’ Bolivia, etc.
    Another little known fact: The FSLN (Sandinistas) of Nicaragua supplied logistical support for the suspected Islamic terrorists in the first World Trade Centre bombing of 1993 (I can document if necessary).
    The historical evidence is overwhelming and I could go on and on…so where the heck is our Billion dollar funded CBC for keeping the public intelligently informed?
