Now Is The Time At SDA When We Juxtapose!

  1. That’s because BC’s right wing Gov’t won’t prioritize, electing to keep rural Conservative welfare bums in swill rather than direct those funds to essential programs.
Now, with Brad Wall no longer able to ride the NDP’s economic coattails, what cuts can we look forward to here? Will our rural conservative welfare bums continue their gluttony at the trough??

  2. Will it come to the point where the elderly are herded into “showers”!!!!
The post modern cult of death is alive & well.
Its instgaters smile with sharks teeth as they plan even our Children geneticaly.
The medical proffesion has become enamored with Eugenics yet again.
I wish Doctors like this would like in the 19th century just steal bodies not our futures by design even to our demise.
    People are food.
    JMO

  3. The BC government taxing sickness and disease in name of keep Gaia healthy. The hypocrisy is mind boggling. Our sheepish responses this sort of shit is outrageous.
Why not just get a gun and shoot unimportant sick people. It would be more merciful.
What do you expect from a Liberal government?
At least the Americans are fighting this crap right now as I tap out this mini rant.

  4. Philboy
BC’s RIGHT WING Gov’t???? You’ve got to be kiddin’ me, right? You don’t live in BC, do you?

  5. How to turn Obama’s healthcare funding problem into an economic stimulus:
    Government cheese is old people!

  6. So the climate neurotics anxieties of climate change killing people becomes a self fulfilling prophesy. Just not quite in the way they expected.
Seems appropriate to change the name of the AGW movement to the soylent greens.

  7. When you hand over your personal responsibilities to the government not only will you never get them back but you will only ever be entitled to what the government can afford. Inevitably, that means rationed health care.
At least with the effect of carbon taxes it might be a little cooler while you’re suffering in the health care queue.

  8. Revnant Dream: “Will it come to the point where the elderly are herded into ‘showers’!!!!”
    Something like.
As a bona fide Boomer, I fully expect that if I break a hip, say, and go to the hospital, the nurse is going to look at my chart, then look at me and say, “Mrs. __________, you’ve got exactly six days, three hours, and 42 seconds of OHIP” at which time either my family comes to rescue me and take me home or I get the needle. Needles are much less of a nuisance than showers.
Given the current and continuing financial shortfalls in health care budgets combined with the utilitarian secular humanist mindset of increasing numbers of Canadians — Canadians who will be nurses, doctors, and hospital workers — I’m not expecting any milk of human kindess if I become sick and end up in a hospital.

  9. With our socialist health care system, hospital patients are viewed as costs that come out of a fixed budget, crowding out money available for perks and pay raises for administrators and public service union workers.
If hospitals were allowed to make a reasonable profit per patient, and if private insurance was allowed to compete for those patients, our ‘wait-times’ problem would be solved since hospitals would welcome patients rather than treating them as expenses. The government would also need to raise its ceiling on the number of doctors universities are allowed to train.

  10. M.M. Good;
It will never happen. Its too reasonable.
Besides you would be mobbed by the “Friends of Medicare” with their handlers with probably the “Friends of Welfare” with them. After all they don’t have or need jobs. They live off lifespan threw our work.
The bureaucrats who manage these programs that get the lions share of money would revolt.
    Good Idea, just to rational.

  11. The last time Alberta’s debt surged, Don Getty was at the helm.
The Alberta debt forecast is $4.6 billion, and of that, $2 billion is slated for carbon capture. Who is pushing for $2 billion to be pissed away on carbon capture? Don Getty.
    http://www.taxpayer.com/taxpayer/news-archive?news_id=3456
and on the other side of the mountains… I am *almost* speechless regarding them spending any amount on “carbon tax” while cutting back on surgeries / services for seniors / mentally ill. They’ve got 4 years to get it in line again, before returning to the electorate. good luck with that.

  12. All this Global Warming nonsense would be very funny if it wasn’t for the tremendous waste of money being thrown at it.
The opportunity cost of all this stupidity will someday be measured in lives lost, scientific and engineering breakthroughs that won’t happen for lack of funding and the fact that a generation of scientists will not be trusted to take themselves to the bathroom let alone conduct “research”.

  13. I’m in favour of proportional representation. For every x amount of dollars in overspending than y numbers of each party disappear. For example 10 million overspent 2 seats for the government and 1 member of each opposition go home. They get the pay but no fringe benefits, no per diems, no voting and they communicate by e-mail. Either they get smarter or get gone. Kinda like incentive for good government. No sense in putting money in a poll that doesn’t provide a benefit.

  14. People with lower education or lack of enough education can not help this subject and get bored or may get mad to hear too many information to absorb it
If you expect politician without help made final decision you may be going wrong way they need honest help since each area need review with patient and with doctors with political party and etc.. You can not rush it but it must start from somewhere any way.
for each sickness need a year to made right solution for cure people properly and costly
    ====
Dealing with health care is not something we can rush it or just finish story saying we know solution today and that is it this door must always open for improvement but direction is important we have so many problems in Canada too, Why we should think about American to this subject free of charge!!?One day may come soon that nobody care about china or Middle east or USA or English they see all people and population and land and food and consumption and medical is universal and see people in big picture with no racism attached to them but how to save world by take care of minimum for give them long happy healthy life and all world become like Canada multicultural and need to take care of one subject as Union together before we go to that stage we must sell our medical system ideas to aboard not give away free I think I may be wrong to this subject

Canada to stop producing medical isotopes: Harper By : David Akin, Canwest News Service, Published: Wednesday, June 10, 2009, OTTAWA – Prime Minister Stephen Harper says Canada plans to leave the production of medical isotopes to other countries – despite the fact that for a time last year, this country was producing nearly all such isotopes in the world.”Eventually, we anticipate Canada will be out of the business,” Harper said Wednesday. The Liberals and NDP along with some Canadian and U.S. nuclear scientists and MDS Nordion, the Ottawa company that wholesales the isotopes produced by Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd., at its reactor in Chalk River, Ont., had been pushing the government to reconsider a backup plan for the reactor, pictured above. Well if we used all space astronaut rather having going to moon doing fun instead they can put
,All radioactive disposals in moon or far than earth or can be put it under big ocean or under ground and ask all nuclear weapon include Iran and Israel to put all wrong equipment collected and bomb get made it to smaller size transfer to some place in desert with tent not blow it up.
then we need to have import isotope to help cancer patient if we can produce any now or not safe to have it but made sure do not made us dependent to USA people for take expensive electricity out of it or may hired Iranian smart guy to work in Canada to operate the nuclear plan for us to have cheap electricity for operation rooms.
To talk about important subject and medical equipment may made us to call University of Toronto and ask PHD in medical engineering researcher to help cost down and give good option for US,Why not Canada can help US medical system get fix and US pay consulting fees to Canadian for get not free information , Canada can made money to how to set up like OHIP for USA and Europe as well, Or how to set up street car or other services, Why Harper give anything to Obama free.
University of Toronto and Ryerson did have some research can help or Quebec University, Public are not aware some subject are too specialty not every body can put their idea in need professional to analyze the data too, PM Harper need to pay to people consult him and he must ask money from US to help them too
This subject need real professional since risk and life of peopel involve and need ethic consider too and must talk to them not to ordinary peopel only but those peoepl are busy to work free

  15. Check out what Ezekiel Emanuel, medical adviser to Obama and brother of his chief of staff wrote in the Lancet in January…
“We evaluate three systems: the United Network for Organ Sharing points systems, quality-adjusted life-years, and disability-adjusted life-years. We recommend an alternative system—the complete lives system—which prioritises younger people who have not yet lived a complete life, and also incorporates prognosis, save the most lives, lottery, and instrumental value principles.”
    http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736%2809%2960137-9/fulltext#article_upsell
I think the part about “instrumental value” is where Sarah Palin worries about Trig. What value is a retarded child? Already thousands of Obama supporters have quite openly claimed that Trig should have been aborted. Why should we have any comfort at all with these types in charge?

  16. The world is being run by crazy stupid people. And, we are too passive to hold these people accountable. From personal experience, I can say that the Canadian health care system is f-#@*!. I eventually had to buy private care here in Canada or I would have died. Governments are unthinking and uncaring and cannot solve problems. There are too many vested interests in the status quo. The less government intrusion into our lives the better!!!
    Cheers!

  17. By the ghost of Lenin, you are correct Comrade Ulianov.
It’s that vast, right-wing conspiracy that first suggested the earth was warming, then when it started cooling for the last decade, conveniently re-marketed it to climate change.
It is only the glorious progressives, such as the inventor of the internet Al Gore, who have led the proletariat to greater glory.
The sacrifice of a few surgeries, a couple of dozen old people and some retards will enhance our progressive great march forward to eliminate the non-productive from our glorious utopia to come.
Come, grab your shovel and help me dig the graves for those who we so urgently need to eliminate for the survival of our great god Gaia.
You have nothing to lose but your chains.

  18. This is more of a scam than people think.
The Powers That Be in the Canadian single payer system are trying to convince us that if they can just cut back on the super-expensive and ultimately futile services provided to the terminally ill, the elderly and demented, etc, then they could save a bunch of money and reduce waiting times for everybody else.
Because everybody thinks that the providing of tests, procedures, doctors billing and hospital beds is what costs all the money. So obviously, if we could just get the stupid doctors to stop wasting their efforts on all these friggin’ old geezers who don’t produce squat anyway but just sit around and take up space, well hell, we could save a whack o’ dough!
But that’s sadly not the case. The truth is, they could stop all care for everyone over 60 and it would change nothing. The lion’s share of funding consumed in the system is -administrative-, not care delivery.
But this is what they are going to do, even though it is A) inhuman, B) barbaric and C) guaranteed to fail horribly, they will forge ahead. Because suggesting that maybe some desk pilots be let go, or maybe letting people PAY THE DOCTOR PERSONALLY, is crazy talk!
I can also assure y’all that these “end of life” provisions are being prepared for introduction here in Ontario too. They are absolutely going to let your grandma with the busted hip -die-. Bet your @ss, they really are.
Going to be some OHIP administrators getting their heads busted by p1ssed off doctors pretty soon, mark my words.

  19. ulianov came to troll did he?
Ok Uli, explain Ontario. Liberals are going for the “kill grandma” option hot and heavy. These are -your- guys.
See uli, one of the advantages to paying the doctor directly is he will do what you want. If Big Brother takes your money away and pays the doctor with it, then he does what Big Brother wants or he starves.
So tell us uli, who do you want deciding what treatments and what tests YOUR mother is going to get? Her doctor, or some faceless OHIP dork you can’t even bribe?

  20. philboy made my day with his statement that we have a right-wing government here in BC. What a hoot! If only we actually had a right-wing government, we should be so lucky. In my riding my choices in the provincial election were Liberal, NDP or Green; all of them left of centre.
Our health care just continues to go from bad to worse, but that does not affect the compensation of the fat cats running it. I was talking yesterday to the son of a gentleman in Mission Hospital (scheduled for more cuts) who was outraged by the refusal to treat his father at the big brand new regional hospital in Abbotsford where they live. The family was told that their father, at 70 some odd years, should be left to die and refused treatment, which is why they brought him to Mission. The father does not have any terminal illness but had become dehydrated during the recent heat wave.

  21. Brad Wall riding the economic coattails of the NDP – BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh, the hilarity!! Thank you for that statement, Philboy. The things you write get more outrageous every time you grace us with your presence.

  22. Oh god, now they are all going to blow into conservative Alberta!
US close your damned border. BC don’t make us build a fence, we will throw you scraps when we can. Just stay where you are!

  23. set you free; ‘philboy’ is never ‘right’ by definition!
He’s also always wrong by conviction
    http://www.cbc.ca/canada/bcvotes2009/map/2009/.
This ’09 B.C. Election map seems to suggest that a lot of rural voters are just plain ungrateful for Campbell’s largess…actually if it weren’t for the Vancouver suburbs, we’d have another NDP Gov’t here. Even WITH Campbell’s having played games with riding boundaries.

  24. MM Good 7:53 . There is a logical idea being floated around that the money in health care go with the user instead of budgets to hospitals. That way the medical facilities would compete for patients. Private hospitals could compete for these clients . If they could make a profit getting payed the same as the public system gets paid and maintain the set standard then so be it. Wish I could remember a link where I saw this and hope I explained it correctly.

  25. DaninVan:
You are correct, plus most likely right.
When you think about it, is Soylent Grey such a bad thing?
It certainly would be a welcome addition to Comrade Ulianov’s dinner table.

  26. This video from the CEO of the largest health district in Nova Scotia gives a fairly clear hint — once you get past the euphemisms about “having these difficult conversations” — about the rationing of health care and/or control of “unhealthy” behaviours.
    http://ourpromise.ca/?p=369

  27. Excellent juxtapose. I hope some American Democrats stumble upon this site. Anyway its too bad the juxtapose headlines used are true and reflect the utter insanity that has stuck our society.
I do not know how much more the sane can take before exploding…seriously its like people have turned into zombies who can not think or vampires sucking the life out of all of us- no wonder there are so many books/tv shows/motions pics based on zombies and vampires – our subconscious picks up on the themes going on around us – its turning into mass PTSD where a significant percentage of the population are in shock/denial or just plain desensitized.
Revnant Dream and batb – I agree with you both – frightening indeed – I heard seniors in some of the Scandinavian countries are paranoid as hell about seeing a Dr. especially the needles! The world is run by narcissists and sociopaths.

  28. No-One:
Why bother yourself with the insanity of others?
Have some fun mocking them instead.
The right needs to adopt Saul Alinsky guerilla tactics and hit back twice as hard, with twice as much parody.
Beat them at their own game and their heads will explode first.

  29. I had to fly abroad for life saving surgery. Why? I was 26 years in the Canadian Medical system which was as Lorenzo say’s, somewhat f-#@*! – ed and steadily progresses towards North Korean standards.
I could regale you with stories. Safe to say I suffered multiple medical errors beginning in 1988 with post surgery toxic overdose of drug administered by a nurse who added a zero to 30 ML injection. It got worse as time went on.
CBC – In Canada “One in nine adults with health problems reported receiving the wrong medication ”
    and
“We knew we had a problem, we didn’t know how big it was. Now that we know … we’ve got a lot of work to do.”
Not sure what can be done when in our system no there are no consequences for mistakes, and the the patient is a liability rather than an asset. I had nurses in starched white uniforms, and a specialist visit twice a day in Thailand. Best 40,000 I ever spent.

  30. and we the stupid continue to discuss stupidity as opposed to actually doing anything. it doesn’t get much dumber than one government run organization paying a carbon tax to the goverment to offset their carbon foot print. now who does that government agency pay their carbon tax to or does parliment not have a carbon foot print. idiots.

  31. old white guy: ” … idiots.”
Yeah, it’s getting impossible to parody anything anymore because reality has become so asininely surreal. ‘Good thing Monty Python began doing their stuff in the ’70s; there’d be no market today.
Whoever wrote that reality is stranger than fiction had a finger on the pulse — but the new Deranged and Dystopian Dominion of Lowered Expectations and Pathetic Ponzi Schemes really takes the cake.
And there isn’t any icing, either.

  32. BC’s new motto “We sacrifice our elderly and mentally ill so non-Canadian athletes can play sports” DIVERSITY supercedes humanity is a new liberal policy apparently. The very people, our elderly, who spend forty and fifty years paying into those wonderful social programs the loopy left are so proud of wlll now be abandoned by the people who paid little or no tax into said programs. That’s socialism, sacrifice the weakest members of society so the elites can feel good about their tolerance and diversity.

  33. Now you’re getting the idea, Tovarich Rose.
BTW any relation to Tokyo Rose?
Our glorious utopia will be achieved through the elimination of the non-productive, or at least those who are disagreeable to our brilliant ideas of progressing to a perfect world.
How can the central committee of the obviously smarter-than-the-proletariat tolerate those they cannot derive labour from to build the People’s Republic?
Useful idiots like philboy and ulianov are on the list for elimination once we take rightful ownership of the cities, the banks, the car companies and all those means of production that have exploited the proles.
The program is clear. Get with it or report for re-education.
Better still, admit your failings and report yourself for reassignment to flag@whitehouse.gov.

  34. Well, set you free, I see that 24 hours have sped by, and ulianov -still- can’t think of anything to explain OHIP and the Liberals.
That’s pretty scary when you think about it eh? Even a hard core Lefty wingnut is speechless in the face of “let Grandma die” rationing proposals from Dalton, who already jacked the OHIP “premiums”.
How long before the Indian reserve drug gangs wake up and realize there’s money in bootleg MRIs?

  35. There’s lots of private MRI clinics…you simply have to pay for it out of your own pocket.
The trick is what do you do with the info once you have it? Back to the ol’ lineups. Mind you, there’s still private surgeries out here in B.C.
If it’s life threatening, again there are options:
    http://www.worldmedassist.com/landing/medTourismIndiappc.htm?_kk=medical%20tourism%20india&_kt=41af418b-d757-4e31-801a-5236dfcfbb02&gclid=CJ7DwYOTp5wCFRYiagodzAfekQ

  36. Nope. I looked into it Danni. You can’t operate an MRI without licensing in Ontario. You can’t get a license because they -don’t give them out-. At all.
You have to buy a license from a guy who has one. Meaning you buy the existing business and the machine with the license. So there are no -new- MRIs in Ontario.
Hence the waiting lists for simple imaging tests you can get same-day in Buffalo.
In fact, Buffalo NY, the biggest dump in the North East USA, has more MRI machines than Toronto and possibly more than the whole f-ing province of Ontario.
I was going to lease one of the ones they put in a semi-trailer. Drive it around to towns up north (like Gravenhurst, Barrie, Orillia) where they don’t have timely access. Figured it would be a money tree, given the waiting lists right?
Well, it would be. Except they don’t let you do it.
So I’ve been waiting for the Indian gangs to latch on to this idea. They LOVE doing illegal stuff, this should appeal to them. This way they can clean up both ends of the Illegal cigarette trade, eh? They can get you hooked, keep you smoking, AND diagnose your lung cancer for you.
